American composer and critic (1896-1989), he was instrumental in the development of American classical music and father figure to a new generation of American tonal composers (such as Rorem, Bowles and Bernstein). Signed photo, inscribed. Size is 8 x 10 inches, stamped on verso by photographer Glenesk, New York, in excellent condition.

German composer (1887-1971) and teacher; a prestigious figure in the Berlin cultural scene during the 1930s. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by him on verso, shown at an old age. Size is 3.5 x 5 inches, tape residues on the back, otherwise in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1909-1992), violist, music teacher, and conductor. Fine photo postcard signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment; photo by Fayer (Vienna). Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, light smudges over the ink writing, otherwise in excellent condition.

American composer (1906-1994), creator of contemporary classical music and also conductor. Signed photo, dated in Santiago de Chile in 1945. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches. Signed by photographer J. Hochhausler on front and stamped on verso.

French composer (1821-1884) and theatre manager; director of the Paris Opera between 1879-1884. Set of three autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, where he mentions, in two of them, professional issues related to the theatre, and one recommending a student.  Different sizes and lengths: three written pages, 2 written pages, and 1 written page, in very good condition. French composer (1863-1931), who was also conductor and music teacher, mainly active in Paris. Signed cabinet photo, inscribed and dated in 1897. Photo by F. Massip, Toulouse, sized 4.25 x 5.75 inches, trimmed at the bottom and some stains, priced accordingly.

Austrian composer (1872-1948) who was also conductor. With a strong Wagnerian influence, Von Hausegger´s works include masses, operas, and symphonic works together with a significant amount of vocal works. He conducted many orchestras in Germany, Austria and Scottland, was the first conductor to perform Bruckner´s Symphony Nr 9 in its original form. Signed postcard, dated in 1919, in German - sold untranslated. Size is 5.5 x 3.5 inches, together with TWO unsigned photo postcards of the composer and conductor.  

Danish composer (1883-1946), a supporter of the twelve-tone technique who wrote 9 symphonies, 3 string quartets and several operas. Signature matted with a photo, total size is 8.25 x 11.75, signature is 4 x 2.75 inches (dated 1927), photo is 2.5 x 3 inches

American composer and educator (1881-1946). Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 7 x 9.25 inches, some minor creases over the upper-right border and central left border, otherwise in very good condition.

American composer (1881-1946) whose output includes five operas and numerous folk songs.   Beautiful photograph signed and inscribed by him, shown at the piano.  Size is 8 x 9.9 inches, a couple of minor cracks, otherwise in very good condition.

Czech-American composer (1896-1977), who left Czechoslovakia to escape the Nazis and settle in New York State and comittet suicide in 1977. He created over 100 works, including operas, operettas, choral works and works for orchestra. Signed photo, by Balzar, Prague. Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, minor crease over the top left corner, otherwise in very good condition.
