Famous Czech-born conductor and composer (1839-1916), Napravnik settled in Russia and conducted the world premiere of operas by many famous composers (Mussorgsky, five operas of each Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov, etc).  Nice Russian mini-cabinet photo signed by him on verso, where he dated in 1894. Size is 2.5 x 4.25 inches, back is in excellent condition, front has minor wear and rust stains but is in very good condition. Very rare!

Hungarian-American conductor and violinist (1899-1985), appointed conductor of the Minneapolis Symphony Orch. and The Philadelphia Orchestra for 44 years. 2-bar autograph music quote from Beethoven's Symphony 5 signed and inscribed by the conductor. Size is 6.4 x 3 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photograph of him conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra (not shown).

Hungarian-born American conductor (1899-1985) and violinist, best known for his lifelong association with the Philadelphia Orchestra as its music director. Beautiful collection of 3 autograph letters signed by him, 1 typed letter signed by him, plus 1 letter written by a third person but signed by Ormandy (1937); all of them in German and addressed to his friend Oswald Kabasta; various sizes, conditions, and lengths. Italian conductor and composer (1874-1944).  Photo of the conductor mounted on a mat, signed, inscribed and dated by him at the top in Trieste, 1921.  Total size is 9.25 x 12.6 inches, some silvering on the photo, even rust toning on mat, ink writing on verso by another hand, in very good condition.

French conductor (1819-1887), pianist, and teacher. Set of four autograph letters in French signed by the conductor between 1877 and 1881, concerning music and theatre matters. Different sizes and lengths, translations not included, folds, rust stains, in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is his card with some lines signed by the conductor, plus a newspaper clip (not shown) about Pasdelopu by Adolphe Jullien issued in 1887 in "L'Independence Musicale et Dramatique" Magazine.

Italian opera conductor (1932-1989), chief conductor of the Munich Radio Orchestra (from 1985 to 1989), who died during a performance. Signed photo, size is 4 x 5.8 inches. Stamped on verso by photographer Troncone, Naples, in excellent condition.

Russian conductor (1887-1953), particularly associated with the Bolshoi opera of which he was the artistic director from 1943 to 1948. Signed photograph, inscribed and dated in 1944. Written in Russian and sold with a handwritten English translation. Photo size is 6.5 x 8.75 inches, in excellent condition. RARE!

ALSO INCLUDED is a 3-bar music quote from Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde" signed by him and dated in New York, March 1985. Size is 5.9x 4 inches, in very good condition.

Romanian conductor (1900-1970) particularly associated with the Italian and German opera repertories. Signed photo, inscribed and dated in 1952, stamped on verso by photographer Carmen, Buenos Aires. Size is 3.4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Russian-Austrian conductor (b.1972), currently chief conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic. Fine color photograph signed by him, shown in performance or rehearsal. Size is 11.7 x 8.2 inches, in excellent condition.
