Gorgeous photograph signed on verso by the star pianist with a short sentiment in English and Cyrillic, dated in 1960; shown probably in Russia. British pianist (1890-1965), who became a prime favorite in the United States, not only as a soloist but also as a fine ensemble player.  Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment. Size is 7.5 x 9.5 inches, small loss of paper on all four corners, minor silvering, otherwise in excellent condition.  

Polish-American pianist (1876-1957), composer, music teacher, and inventor. Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a long sentiment, dated March 30, 1943. Size is 7.9 x 10 inches, minor creases, few pinholes over the top, in overall excellent condition.

British pianist (1819-1901), court pianist to the queen of Hanover, and muse of Robert Schumann. Rare autograph letter in German signed by her, no year indicated, addressing a gentleman asking to get him a good messenger to send around with a "subscription list" for a concert she will give a few days later.  Size is 7.7 x 8.5 inches, 1 written page, no translation included, missing piece of paper at the top, creases, folds, in overall very good condition.

Polish harpsichordist (1879-1959) and pianist, whose performances and recordings greatly helped revive harpsichord music during the 20th century, and became the first to record Bach's Goldberg Variations on the harpsichord in 1931. Large mat attached with a photograph of her by Lipnitzki, 1931, shown in performance, signed and inscribed by her with a long sentiment in French, dated June 15th, 1935. Total size is 9.5 x 14.8 inches, photograph is 6.25 x 4.1 inches, rust toning in part of the mat, in overall very good condition.

French pianist, composer and teacher (1852-1914), the first famous pianist to make recordings. Pugno was well known for his interpretations of Mozart works. Autograph letter signed by him, dated in 1901, in French, sold untranslated. Two pages, each written only on one side with signature on the second page. Pages are sized 5.25 x 7 inches, have folds, in excellent condition. Also included are: 1) a vintage photo, 4 x 6 inches, inscribed, with a signature at the bottom. Signature is partially cut, photo is mounted on a larger piece of paper, size is 4.6 x 7.25 inches, excellent condition, 2) an unsigned photo postcard of him, 3.5 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

French virtuoso pianist (1818-1906), composer and teacher. Autograph letter in French (sold untranslated) signed by the composer and addressed to the Paris Conservatoire director Beaucherne in October 1868, according to some pencil markings. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, folds, in excellent condition. Original envelope is included.  Rare!

German-born French pianist (1873-1929), a remarkable performer of Beethoven music. Collection of 9 autograph letters signed by him, dated between 1894 and 1923. Letters are addressed to music figures such as the violinist and composer Armand Parent (1863-1934) and concern music programs for concerts, meetings, theater seats, and a recommendation of her pupil “Mademoiselle Vessen”. For a total of 10 pp. in-8 and in-16 and on visiting card. ALSO INCLUDED is an autograph letter signed, dated le May 1, 1897, by the harpist and music teacher at Brussels Royal Conservatory Jean Risler (1865-1932) addressed to the pianist Louise Filliaux-Tiger (1848-1916), concerning the impossibility to get seats for one of the “…4 séances Ysaye (…) parce-que tout est loué, qu’il ne reste aucune place…”. German pianist (1813-1894) and composer. Autograph letter in French signed by him, no date, to the French conductor and composer Louis-Antoine Jullien (1812-1860): "... I cannot have the pleasure of having you today; I have come to ask you, when you wish to do me the pleasure of coming with Mademoiselle your daughter to my house..." Size is 4.9 x 7.6 inches, overall rust stain, in very good condition.

Superstar Polish-born American pianist (1887-1982). Beautiful sepia photograph signed and inscribed by the superstar pianist with a short sentiment in Spanish, dated by him in 1951, shown at the piano.  Size is 10 x 8.1 inches, creases on borders, in overall good condition.

Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, dated in Rosario (Argentina), 1939, shown young at the piano; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Weinstein (Buenos Aires). Virtuoso Spanish violinist (1844-1908) and Moravian pianist and composer (1846-1907). Autograph album page signed by the virtuoso Spanish violinist (1844-1908) with some few notes, dated in 1898. The album page is also signed by the Moravian pianist and composer with some handwriting over the top quoting two lines of Shakespeare.  Size is 9.25 x 11.4 inches, in excellent condition.

German pianist, composer and teacher (1862-1942), pupil of the legendary Franz Liszt and one of the most distinguished pianists of his time. Great autograph music quote from his 2nd piano concerto, signed by him and dated in Vienna, 1938. Size is 7.75 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a ticket stub with his name for a concert in 1921.

Autograph letter in German (sold untranslated) signed by him and dated in Berlin, 1906, about musical issues.  Size is 5 x 7.25 inches, 3 written pages, mounting traces on verso, in overall very good condition. Ukrainian-born virtuoso pianist (1863-1945) - also spelled as Alexander Ziloti - who was conductor, and composer, a pupil of Tchaikovsky, Nicolai Rubinstein, and Franz Liszt. Autograph letter in German (sold untranslated) with a short greeting signed by him, illegible date. Size is 5.6 x 8 inches, 1 page, folds, in excellent condition.

Bulgarian-born French pianist (1929-2012), known for his recordings of Liszt, Brahms, and Rachmaninoff works. Fantastic black-and-white photograph signed by him as "Sigi" and inscribed with a short sentiment dated in 1948, here shown at a very young age; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Wilenski (Buenos Aires). Size is 4.6 x 7.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Polish pianist, composer, conductor and teacher (1837-1912), the younger brother of the famous violinist Henryk. His personal card, printed "Josph Wieniawski", handwritten by him, in French, sold with a translation, to a Mr Kufferath. Wieniawski is inviting him to attend a private concert with his own music, indicates he would like to repeat this invitation in person. Size is 2.2 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Polish pianist (1837-1912), composer, conductor, and teacher, who enjoyed a reputation as one of Europe's finest musicians of his time.  Autograph letter boldly signed by him in Brussels, on April 2nd, 1909, written in French (sold untranslated).  Size is 4.3 x 7 inches, 1 page, central fold, in excellent condition.

Danish pianist and composer (1821-1878), performed numerous concerts in Europe, created many pieces for piano solo and with other instruments, also focused in teaching. Autograph letter signed and dated in Florence in 1846, in German, sold untranslated, one page written only on one side, 5 x 7.75 inches, in excellent condition. Also included is a short music quote, handwritten and signed in German, untranslated, 5.5 x 4.25 inches, dated in Dresden in 1838, in excellent condition.

Austrian-American pianist (1887-1961) who had his right hand amputated during World War I and commissioned piano concertos for the left hand only. Album page signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 5.4 x 4 inches, storage holes, in excellent condition.
