Singers - Autograph Manuscripts

American bass (1873-1935) and opera manager. Album page with the letterhead of a hotel signed by him.  Size is 6 x 9.5 inches, folds, in very good condition.

American bass (1873-1935) and later opera manager, made many recordings in the early days of the Victor Talking Machine company.  Album page signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 4.75 x 6.4 inches, central fold, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned half-tone photograph of him (size is 3 x 4.1 inches).

Austrian tenor (1901-1994), autograph letter signed, 2 pages, dated in Naples in 1955. Written in German and sold untranslated. 2 sided document with text on each side, size is 6.5 x 10 inches, small bullet holes and folds, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Croatian soprano (1841-1913), who debuted at the age of 17 at Teatro Carcano. Rare autograph letter in Italian (untranslated) signed by her, dated in Torino, January 12, 1870, to Mr. Tannini: “…Col massimo piacere le annuncio il gran successo ch’ebbe il Faust al Teatro Regio, tutti gli artisti sono applauditi e piacciono, io spezialmente all’Aria dei Giojelli e alla bella frase (Ti voglio amar idolatrar) col fine del terzo Atto siamo chiamati all’… del proscenio…”.  Size is 4.2 x 5.5 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), monogram at the top, overall dust stains, in very good condition.

German soprano and voice teacher (1896-1965), associated with concert repertoire. Set of three autograph letters signed, written in the 1950s, on her own letterhead, each written in German, sold untranslated. Size of each is 8.25 x 11.75 inches, several bullet holes on each and bends, otherwise in very good condition. Not sold separately.

German baritone (1909-1982), pair of 1 3.25 x 5.25 inch signed photograph, shown as himself, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition, and 1 autograph note signed, on official letterhead, 8 x 11,5 inches, 1 page in German, sold untranslated. Both dated in 1966, not sold separately.

German tenor (1858-1938), son of the composer and conductor of the same last name. Signed album page, written in English, size is 9 x 11.5 inches, small tears on far right edges, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Welsh soprano (1842-1897), signed embossed 1 page document, written in London. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. 

French mezzo-soprano (1868-1918). Autograph note in French (untranslated) signed by her as “C. Wyns”, no date, but written from Cairo, thanking a fan and inviting him to hear more at her house. Size is 5 x 6 inches, central fold, otherwise in excellent condition.

Turkish-born American Broadway Actress (1880-1968), who participated in several silent films as well. Autograph note signed by her about some pictures, with a letterhead with her initials.  Size is 6.5 x 8.5 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.

Argentinian bass, signed card with attached half-tone photo taken from a newspaper or magazine, shown in role, dated in 1947, inscribed. Total item size is 4 x 5.75 inches (photo is, 1.75 x 1.75 inches), small stains on card ,priced accordingly. 

German opera singer and actress, also known as Klara Ziegler (1844-1909), a specialist in the Wagnerian repertoire. Autograph letter signed, dated in Munch in 1899, written in German on the first 2 pages of a 4-page document, sold untranslated. Signed as "Clara Ziegler". Size of each page is 5.25 x 7 inches, well-preserved in excellent condition.

Italian bass-baritone (1812-1891). Autograph letter signed, written in Bologna, dated in 1871, 1 page written in Italian, sold untranslated. Bold and clear handwriting signed as "F. Zucchini". Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

German tenor (1854-1931) and pedagogist. Autograph letter in English signed by him, dated 23 August 1891, where he addresses Mrs. Amy Twiss-Suermondt, concerning an invitation he had to refuse and his upcoming engagements. Open size is 10.7 x 1 inches, six written pages, folds, in overall very good condition. Its original envelope is ALSO INCLUDED.
