French violinist and conductor (1834-1899). Set of 2 autograph notes signed, both with his letterhead and written in French (sold untranslated). One is dated in 1896, sized 5.25 x 8.1 inches and the other is 4.75 x 7.25 inches, both in excellent condition.

Hungarian violinist (1871-1946), composer, and librettist. Autograph note signed on a postcard with his photo, dated in Berlin, 1901, written in German, sold untranslated. Note includes a very fine eight-bar music quote for violin and piano. Size is 5.5 x 3.6 inches, in excellent condition.

French violinist (1821-1873). Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated 1857, to a certain Mr. Desolliers: “.. The handwriting of M. [Eugène] Vivier (the horn) is quite unknown to me. I'm sorry because I could have saved you from your embarrassment...". Size is 5.1 x 8 inches, 1 pages, rust stains over the left border, creases and folds, in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED are the envelope, an unsigned program for a concert featuring Le Cieux on the 7th of April 1863 at Salle Herz in Paris, and a typed biography.

German violinist (1903-1990), later conductor, famous in the 1930s, emigrated to Argentina in 1937 after being banned by the government. Signed promo photograph, shown with his violin, dated 1937, size is 4 x 5.75 inches

Hungarian-born violinist virtuoso, composer, and conductor (1898-1960), signed postcard photograph, dated in Vienna in 1932. Stamped on verso by Ottokurt Vogelsang Lichtbildner photographers, Berlin. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

French violinist (1841-1909) and conductor.  Set of 2 autograph letters signed by him, written in French (sold untranslated).  The first one is a 3-pages letter, dated 1901, size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.  The second one has no year and its size is 4.1 x 5.2 inches, in excellent condition. American violinist (1919-2010), one of the pupils of Adolph Busch who developed an important career giving concerts and as a teacher. Signed photograph, dated in 1948, inscribed, 8 x 10 inches. Some smudge over her last name in the signature, otherwise in very excellent condition

Spanish violinist (1883-1971) and composer, having excelled in both.  Printed score of Paganini's Caprice XXIV signed by the Spanish violinist on the first page with a short music quote from his symphonic poem "Nova Catalonia".  Full score with all pages and covers, size is 9.4 x 12.25 inches, repaired banding, in very good condition.

Anglo-Italian conductor (1905-1980), composer, and light orchestra-style entertainer with cascading strings musical signature, who was a powerhouse recording artist in his time. Beautiful black and white photo postcard signed by him, shown young. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition.

Belgian violinist (1847-1924). Autograph letter signed by him and dated in Paris, 1898, written in French (sold untranslated); 2 pages on the same side of one sheet. Full size is 9.1 x 7 inches, piece of transparent paper tape attached in the center, otherwise in very good condition.

Russian-born American violinist (1903-1992), one of the finest of the 20th century.  Fine black-and-white photograph shown young, signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment in French, dated in Santa Fe (ARG), in 1937.  Size is 7.1 x 9.3 inches, creases and damage over the upper border, still in good condition. Priced accordingly.

Israeli violin virtuoso, violist and conductor (b.1966). Considered one of the top violin performers today. Great color photograph signed by him, shown performing on stage. Size is 9.75 x 8 inches, in very good condition.

German violinist and composer (1802-1869), who was also a music director at Stuttgart. Autograph letter signed, dated in London in 1850, handwritten in German (sold untranslated). Two pages, on one sheet, front and verso, sized 4.25 x 7.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Famous Norwegian cellist (b.1961) and Italian conductor (b.1953).  Larger size color photograph signed by both artists, shown after a performance.  Size is 12 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Belgian violinist (1854-1929), toured Europe, America and the world, establishing later in New York where he opened his own school of music.  Set of 2 autograph notes signed by him, each one is one page, in English, providing tickets and arranging a concert. Each one is 4.5 x 6.8 inches, light age toning, in excellent condition.

He was the dedicatee of numerous violin works, including both of Dmitri Shostakovch's violin concerti and the Violin Concerto by Aram Khachaturian.  Signed album page, written in Russian, sold untranslated. Program for a performance of the famed Russian violinist David Oistrakh with the State Orchestra of the USSR conducted by Konstantin Iwanow, at the 10th International "Musikfest der Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft" in Vienna in 1961, program signed by both artists on the program page.  Size is 5.5 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition.  Also included: 1 signed card signed by the violinist, size is 2 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition. Spanish composer and violinist (1892-1961), considered "the finest successor of De Sarasate". Nice autograph drawing on an album page signed by him and dated in Philadelphia, 1928, with a drawing of conductor Pierre Monteux with a short text on verso. Size is 6.5 x 3.9 inches, in very good condition.

American-born violinist and composer (1890-1985). Fine black and white photo postcard signed by her, shown very young, dated in London in 1905, at age 15. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

American violinist (1918-2012), known for performances and recordings of the works of Paganini. Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him, dated 1960, shown in performance. Size is 3.8 x 5.9 inches, in excellent condition.

French violinist and composer (1813-1890), autograph letter signed, written on 1 page of a folded 4 page document, written in English, dated in London in 1881. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, small trace marks near but not within the text, otherwise in excellent condition.

American violinist and teacher of Dutch ascendent (1886-1944) and music teacher who toured extensively as a virtuoso violinist in concerts. Signed photo, inscribed and dated in 1918. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, minor silvering over borders, otherwise in very good condition.

Star Spanish violin virtuoso (1844-1908) and composer, considered one of the greatest of the 19th century, whose music is still today regularly performed by top violinists. Beautiful postcard signed by him, dated in Crefield, Germany, 1905. Size is 5.5 x 3.5 inches, some rust stain, in overall very good condition.

Austrian violinist (1915-2002). Original black-and-white photograph of the violinist by photographer Ellinger (Salzburg) signed by Schneiderhan; ink-stamped on verso as well by the photographer. Size is 5.25 x 7.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Russian cellist (1903-1969), born in Constantinople, who toured worldwide to great success. Signed card attached with a small half-tone photo of him. Size is 4 x 5.8 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

Turkish-born cellist (1903-1969). Nice black-and-white promo photograph signed by him. Size is 3.75 x 5.7 inches, in excellent condition.

Hungarian violinist (1869-1934), with an international career as a concertist, latter a teacher. Signed photo postcard, inscribed and dated in 1911. Size is 3.5 x 5.75 inches, creases and mounting damage on verso. Rare!

Austrian violinist, composer, arranger and radio pioneer (1883-1948), born Silbiger, emigrated to the USA in 1938 after Austria was annexed to nazi Germany. Group of autograph items including 2 photo postcards signed, each with a short music quote from "Eines schonen Tages...", in Radio Wien, 1926 and 1930, one has a printed signature on the front, autograph on verso, and includes a handwritten envelope (not shown). ALSO INCLUDED is one typed letter signed, dated 1920, with his letterhead, and one photo postcard, also signed on verso, with a short salutation and attached to an album page. A total of 4 autograph items, each postcard is approx. 3.4 x 5.25 inches, letter is 6.1 x 9.25 inches, all in excellent condition.

Famous Italian violinist and composer (1857-1928), mostly known for his chamber music. Simonetti´s career developed mostly in England and Ireland.  Autograph album page with a handwritten music quote signed by him, 2 bars of music annotated "madrigale", from his Madrigale for violin and piano (1901), dated in 1905. Autograph music quote signed by him with two bars from an Andante from Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, dated March 22, 1912. Unknown signature and date on verso. Size is 5.7 x 3.5 inches, left border irregularly cut, in overall very good condition.

Famous American violinist (1888-1953), who became later in his life teacher and composer.  Large photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment in Italian, dated in Lugano, 1913.  Photo is blind-stamped on the front by photographer Matzeme, Chicago, USA.  Size is 9.9 x 13.3 inches, creases over the lower-left corner, some dust stains on the bottom, still in very good condition.

Austrian violinist (1835-1899) and also the leader of the Halle Orchestra in Manchester, U.K. Autograph music quote signed and dated in London, 1882. Size is 7 x 4.4 inches, rust stains, otherwise in very good condition.

French violinist (1787-1862), composer, and music teacher who invented a musical language called La Langue Musicale Universelle. Set of two autograph letters signed by the French violinist, as follows: A. Paris, May 28, 1847, to Mr. Mahérant, "Master of Requests and Deputy Director of Personnel and Military Operations": "... Allow me to beg you to grant me a moment's audience and you will oblige the one who has the honor to be with high consideration...". Size is 6.9 x 8.8 inches, folds, overall rust stains, in very good condition. B. March 19, 1849, to Mr. Monfrein: "... I still have recourse to your kindness to extricate me from a painful uncertainty relative to the journey to Orleans. On the 6th of March, M. [Alexandre-Eugène] de Chancourtois wrote to me to inform him of the prize that had been made with the musical societies that had called me. I replied to him at once, as he seemed to wish in his letter, and told him that the last of these companies was that of Le Mans, which had offered me 500 francs for... that... Hugot and for me. But I added that because of the circumstances and to smooth out any difficulties that might arise, we would be content with 400 francs...". Size is 5.2 x 8.1 inches, two written pages in one sheet (front and verso), folds, in very good condition. Polish-born Mexican violinist (1918-1988), considered one of the best violinists of his generation. An absolutely gorgeous black-and-white studio photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment in German dated 1981, shown in performing pose. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Hungarian virtuoso violinist (1892-1973), who also distinguished himself as a strong advocate of new music. Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated 1961 (postal marks) to Jean-Pierre Fonda (a.k.a. Jean-Pierre Fournier, son of the cellist Pierre), at that time pupil of the pianist Géza Anda: “…Tu pourras à l’occasion dire à Géza qu’il existe encore un autre Brahms…” [referring to his recording].  Size is 5 x 7.9 inches, central fold, envelope included, otherwise in excellent condition.
