French cellist (1870-?) at the Concert Colonne, conductor and founder of the Schola Cantorum in Caen.  Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated December 17, 1923, where he addresses the music critic Henri Woollett (1864-1936) arranging for a meeting: “…je (…) n’ai pu vous repondre plus tôt, à cause de mon Concert d’hier…”. Size is 8.3 x 10.7 inches, 1 written page, evident central fold, creases, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is his original printed business card with a short note in French written by him. Size is 3.9 x 2.3 inches, in excellent condition.

German-born violinist and opera impresario (1842-1889), famous for his English opera company. 2-bar autograph music quote from an Elegy signed by him on a card. Size is 3 x 1.8 inches, mounting traces on verso, in overall very good condition.

Russian cellist and teacher (1927-2007), considered the best cellist of his generation and Russian baritone (b.1953), internationally acclaimed for interpreting the Slovenian and Italian repertory. Autograph music quote signed by him with two bars from an Andante from Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, dated March 22, 1912. Unknown signature and date on verso.
