Italian film composer (1924-2005), pianist, opera director, and novelist, whose output included a large number of genres. Autograph quote on a card signed by the composer with 4 bars of music from his opera "Luisella".  Size is 5 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

English pianist, teacher and composer (1858-1945), Matthay opened his own piano school and published and important book on piano pedagogy. Signed postcard, dated by him on August 10th (stamp by the post office on verso states 1927), size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches

French composer and librettist (1886-1919). Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, March 9, 1907, to the composer and music critic Henri Woollett (1864-1936), concerning a music competition: "...j'apprends que vous organisez pour le 11 et 12 août un grand concours musical et j'ai l'honneur de vous offrir ma participation à ce tournoi artistique en qualité de membre du jury...".  Size is 8.3 x 10.7 inches, 1 page, central fold, overall dust stains, some cracks over the left border, in overall good condition.

Romanian composer (1927-2008), credited for introducing his own brand of heterophony. Card signed by him, dated 1992. Size is 5.75 x 4.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1904-2003) of modern classical music, conductor, and teacher; considered one of the most influential Italian composers of the twentieth century.  Signature on an album page, dated in Rome, 1951. Size is 7.6 x 5.25 inches, 1 page, central fold, rust stains over the right border, otherwise in excellent condition.

South-African-born British composer (1903-1986). Short autograph note mounted on soft cardboard signed by her, dated November 8th, 1948. Total size is 4.25 x 5.8 inches, minor stains, in very good condition.

Italian composer (1832-1911). Autograph note signed, written in English, one page, dated in 1900.  Note size is 4 x 6 inches, attached to a larger page, total size is 7.5 x 9.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Czech-American composer (1910-1978).  Autograph music quote on an envelope with 3 bars of music from an unknown piece.  Size is 6.4 x 3.6 inches, his mailing address appears on verso, in excellent condition.

French contrabassist (1873-1950), composer, and conductor. Short autograph note in French signed by him on his visiting card. Size is 3.8 x 2.3 inches, some dirt stains, in very good condition.

American composer (1858-1947), organist, and professor. A signature cut of the composer clipped from the bottom of a letter mounted on a clip from a page of an autograph album.  Size is 4.25 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

German composer (1874-1853). Regular postcard signed by him with a short sentiment dated 1939. Size is 5.75 x 4.1 inches, in excellent condition.

German conductor (1835-1916), composer, and musicologist. Autograph note in German (untranslated) signed by him, dated January 31, 1884, where he addresses the musicologist Max Friedlaender (1852-1934), concerning the poet Wilhelm Müller (1794-1827), whose poems were often set to music by Franz Schubert in his Lieder. Size is 5.4 x 8.3 inches, 1 written page, fold, creases, in overall very good condition.

American composer (1891-?). 3-bar autograph music quote from his work California Lullabye signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment in 1927 on an album page. Size is 5.3 x 4.5 inches, in excellent condition. A signature by English soprano Mary Garden is on its verso (not shown).

American composer (1909-1991), and educator. Fine card signed by him. Size is 3.5 x 2 inches, in excellent condition.

German conductor (1899-1974), composer and author of Non-Fiction books.  Autograph letter signed by him and dated in 1969, written in German (sold untranslated), responding to a typed letter addressed to him on verso.  Size is 7 x 10.6 inches, 1 page, folds, in very good condition.

Polish composer and conductor (1909-1994), autograph music quote signed, with 3 bars of music by Richard Strauss, dated in 1983. Size is 6 x 3.25 inches, in excellent condition.

German conductor (1886-1958) and composer. His personal card printed with his name on one side and signed by him on its verso with a short sentiment, dated in Munich, 1956. Size is 4.4 x 2.8 inches, in excellent condition.

American composer and music critic (1885-1966), famous for some of his operas that were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. Fine card signed by him. Size is 3.5 x 2 inches, in excellent condition.

French composer (1874-1952), author of the 2 act drama “Pyrame en Thisbé” (1904). Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, March 17, 1911, where he addresses a theater director, concerning a music program for an upcoming performance: “…Je prends la liberté de vous communiquer un programme que j’ai dirigé il y a quelques jours à Angoulême, ainsi que l’une des critiques parues le lendemain du concert…”.  Open size is 8.9 x 7.1 inches, two written pages in one folded sheet, central fold, some creases and dirt stains, in overall very good condition.

Romanian composer (1926-1998), and also music theoretician and educator. Full page autograph music quote with some bars from his choral work "Clepsidra I" signed and inscribed by him, dated in Bucharest, 1985.  Size is 8.5 x 10.9 inches, in excellent condition.

English composer, and teacher of harmony and composition. 3-bar autograph music quote from his Symphony in F signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment dated 1933 at the Royal Manchester College of Music. Size is 5.3 x 3.25 inches, overall rust tone, minor stains, in very good condition. On verso there is an unidentified autograph dated 1936.
