British writer (1859-1930), best known for the Sherlock Holmes stories, considered milestones in the field of crime fiction. Card signed by him matted with a printed image of him.  Total size is 9.25 x 15 inches, card's size is 3.8 x 2.7 inches (visible window size), image's size 4.7 x 6.8 inches, in very good condition.

American children's author (1904-1991), and also animator, cartoonist, and filmmaker; whose real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel. Fantastic black-and-white photograph signed by him with a short sentiment.  Size is 8 x 10.2 inches, ink-stamps and stickers on verso, front in excellent condition.

American writer (1850-1935), best known for his children's poetry and humor essays. Autograph letter signed by him (probably to a friend about personal matters), dated in Chicago, 1884.  Size is 4.9 x 7.8 inches, repairs at the center, missing couple of lines, some stains and folds, in overall good condition.  Very rare! ALSO INCLUDED is a half-tone photograph of the writer, probably from a book or magazine.  Size is 7 x 9.4 inches, in very good condition.

German dramatist and novelist (1862-1946), one of the most important promoters of literary naturalism, received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1912.  Signed photo postcard, 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition.

German historian (1822-1903), better known for his book about the fall of the house of the Stuart. Set of 2 autograph letters in French (sold untranslated) signed by him, dated in 1864. One of the letters is 2-pages and the other is 4-pages, each page's size is 5.75 x 9 inches approximately, folds, minor stains, in very good condition.

English playwright (1916-2002) and screenwriter, mostly known for his crime-related works. Dial M for Murder is probably his most famous plot, and was taken to film by Alfred Hitchcock. Signed program for a performance of this play in theater, at the Nassau Repertory Theater, Nov-Dec, 1964. Signed and inscribed on the first page by Knott, who inscribed his autograph to Craig Dudley, one of the actors in the play.  Autograph is on the first page of the program, which has been separated and mounted on a cardboard mat, next to the front cover. This is not a full program, only the cast page and the front cover. Mat is 12.75 x 11.25 inches, in excellent condition.

American poet and educator (1807-1882). Autograph letter signed by him, written in English about literary matters, dated in Cambridge, May 30th, 1873.  1 sheet (3 pages), each page's size is 4.4 x 6.9 inches, folds, minor rust stains on borders, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian poet and writer (1870-1945), first woman member of the Italian Academy (1940). Fine signed photo postcard by Camuzzi, Milan, signed and inscribed by her, with a short sentiment in latin. Size is 3.25 x 5.3 inches, minor silvering on borders, in very good condition.

American fiction writer (1875-1950), celebrated for his adventure and science-fiction novels, including Tarzan. Signed check printed with his name in Tarzana, CA, dated in 1939. Size is 8.4 x 3 inches, protected in hard plastic case, in excellent condition. PSA-DNA Certificate of Authenticity.

Italian poet (1788-1865), and librettist for Don Nicetti and Bellini. Autograph letter signed, dated in Turin, 1849. One page, in Italian (sold untranslated), sized 8.25 x 10.4 inches, in excellent condition.

Famous French dramatist (1831-1908), whose plays were turned into popular operas (Tosca, Fedora and others).  Large signed photo shown as himself, inscribed, mounted on a photographer mat; original photo by Paul Bayer, Paris.  Total size is 8.25 x 12.6 inches (actual photo is 5 x 8.4 inches), minor wear on corners, in excellent condition.

French dramatist and librettist (1791-1861), wrote the libretto for many famous operas by Rossini, Don Nicetti, Verdi and others. Two autograph note signed, in French (sold untranslated), each one is one page with his initials embossed at the top left corners. One is 5.1 x 8 inches and the other 5.25 x 6.25 inches, in good condition.

Irish playwright (1956-1950) and critic, whose influence on Western theatre, culture, and politics extended from the 1880s on. Playbill signed by him announcing his comedy "Too True to Be Good" (1932) at Cincinnati (no year indicated).  Size is 5.8 x 8.5 inches, 1 sheet, small crack over the left border, otherwise in excellent condition.

American playwright (1911-1983), one of the foremost writers of America during the 20th century. Signed check for 500 US dollars, dated in 1978, size is 8.5 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photograph of him, shown young, with his typewriter. A modern print, size is 7.25 x 6.1 inches, in excellent condition.
