American expatriate composer and author (1910-1999), resident for most of his life in Tangier, Morocco. Bowles created many chamber and stage works, as well as wrote poetry and stories. Group of two typed letters signed by him, both dated in 1952 in Tangier, Morocco, where he lived for 52 years, with business content. The letter dated on Sept 15th, 1952 is 8.5 x 6.25 inches, and is in excellent condition, while the letter dated on Sep 24th of the same year is 8.25 x 10.5 inches, has some cracks not affecting the signature.
