Leading Italian tenor (1845-1896), and brother of the famous conductor Cleofonte Campanini, his career developed in Europe where he was famous, later in America and was at the first inaugural night of the Metropolitan in 1883 in the title role in Faust. 

Large signed lithograph by F. Matthews and Sons, shown young, probably taken from a book. Size is 10.4 x 14.25 inches, some rust toning over 3 of the borders, not affecting his image and barely affecting part of the signature, otherwise in very good condition.
