Italian baritone (1865-1923), born in Egypt, with an important operatic career until 1913, after which he gave recitals, many with soprano Dianette Alvina. Maggi was later a singing teacher, and left a few rare recordings.
Large scrapbook with clips from newspaper and programs, dating from 1892 through 1916 related to his performances, plus 22 loose photos (not attached to the album), some personal but many of them in various opera roles, including one signed by him as Beppe, and one of his wife wife, English soprano Gladys Dode, signed by her on verso.
Scrapbook album is 9 x 11.5 inches, with approx. 100 pages with clips from newspapers and programs. Photos in various sizes, from postcard size 6.4 x 9.4 inches the largest.
