Bulgarian soprano (1920-2007), signed photograph, shown most likely in role, dated in Berlin 1956. Signature and inscription on verso. Stamped on verso by Kohler photographers. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.  

Spanish soprano (b. 1937), signed photograph, shown in role at the Gran Teatro Del Liceo, Barcelona. Stamped on verso by  Bas photography studio, Barcelona. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano, signed photograph, shown in role, dated in Lucca in 1959.  This is a 4 x 5.75 inch photo mounted onto soft cardboard, total item size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition.

American coloratura soprano and voice teacher (b. 1924), best known for originating the role of Lucy in Gian Carlo Menotti's The Telephone. Signed publicity photograph, shown as herself, inscribed and dated in 1954. Stamped on verso by photographer Peter Basch. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

French mezzo-soprano (1900-?), signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed at the Paris Opera Comique, dated in 1929/ Blind stamped by photographer Rooben, Opera Comique, Paris. Size is 4.25 x 6.75 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (b. 1933), also performed under her birth name Ingeborg Felderer, Signed photograph, shown in role. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (b. 1958), signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed. Size is 4.75 x 7.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Stamped on verso by photographer Karl Bauermann, Frankfurt. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1890-?), signed postcard photograph, shown as Els in Franz Schreker's opera Der Schatzgraber, a role she performed in the opera's world premiere production at the Frankfurt opera in 1920, shown with the tenor Erik Wirl in the role of "The Fool." Stamped on verso by photographer Karl Bauermann, Frankfurt. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1883-1943), signed and inscribed postcard photograph, shown in role in Franz Schreker's opera Der Schatzgraber. Size is 3.4 x 5.4 inches with some silvering but otherwise in excellent condition.  

German tenor (1882-1956), signed postcard photograph, shown as Walter von Stolzing in Wagner's Die Meistersinger, signed on front with additional inscription on verso. Stamped on verso by photographer Karl Bauermann, Frankfurt. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, crease in center of photo and slight silvering on edges, discount reflected in price.

Italian soprano (1908-2003), signed photograph, shown as Agathe in Weber's Der Freischutz, inscribed. Blind signed on front by photographer Villiani, Bologna. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, very small creases on bottom, otherwise in excellent condition.

German soprano (1886-1977) who had a successful career as an interpreter of Strauss and Wagner heroines.  Signed photograph, shown in the title role of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, a 6.25 x 8 inch photo, mounted onto a 9.75 x 12.5 inch soft cardboard mat, inscribed.  Some small creases on far edges of the cardboard, otherwise in excellent condition.

Dutch baritone (1867-1926). Signed photograph, shown as himself. This is a 4 x 5.5 inch photo mounted onto cardboard, signature is on the cardboard directly below the actual photo, not the photo itself. Photo by C.J.L. Vermeulen, Rotterdam. Total item size is 7.25 x 10.25 inches, very slight bumps on the edges of the cardboard, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Italian soprano (1878-1961). Signed cabinet photograph, shown most likely as herself, inscribed, dated in Milan in 1907. Photo by Vianelli and Moro photographers, Venice. This is a 6 x 8.5 inch photo mounted onto a larger cabinet, total item size is 6.75 x 9.75 inches, small creases on the edges of the cabinet, photo itself is in excellent condition. 

Cornish soprano (1866-1945), beautiful signed cabinet photograph, shown in role, inscribed. Photo by Chancellor photographers, Dublin. Size is 5.5 x 8.5 inches, slight paper loss on edges and small crack on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.

French mezzo-soprano (1879-?). Signed cabinet photograph, shown in title role of Bizet's Carmen, inscribed to her teacher and dated in 1903. Size is 5.25 x 8.5 inches, very small creases at very bottom of cabinet (not on the photo), otherwise in excellent condition.

Swedish soprano (1881-1971), also known as Rodolfa Lhombino. Beautiful mini-cabinet photograph signed by her (signed as "Rodolfa Holmboe-Schenstrom"), shown as herself, playing a violin, a photo by L. Szacinski, Copenhagen. Size is 2.5 x 4 inches, in excellent condition. Also included: unsigned cabinet photograph (with the printed signature "R. Lhombino"), shown as herself, photo by Ernst Schneider, Berlin. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, small stain on bottom left, otherwise in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

Italian mezzo-soprano (1850-1922). Unsigned cabinet photo, shown as herself. A photo by C. F. Colny, Boston, size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition and is mounted onto an 8.5 x 11.5 inch piece of cardboard with an autographed musical quote, dated in 1886. Bold handwriting and signature. Cardboard has some stains and mounting traces on verso but musical quote is untouched as is the cardboard phtoo. 

German mezzo-soprano (1885-1971). Signed photograph, shown as Ortrud in Wagner's Lohengrin, inscribed in Berlin and dated in 1921. This is a 6.75 x 9 inch photo mounted onto soft cardboard, total item size is 10.5 x 12.5 inches, small tear at far right edge of the cardboard, photo itself is in excellent condition.

American soprano/mezzo soprano (1861-1949).  Unsigned cabinet photograph, shown possibly in role, mounted onto larger piece of cardboard which contains her signature and inscription, dated in 1898. Cabinet photo is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, with a gold-plated printed signature of the photographer Reutlinger, Paris and is in excellent inscription. Total item size is 9.5 x 12.5 inches, some rips and tears on the edges of the cardboard and mounting traces on verso, but otherwise beautiful and well-preserved historic item. 

Japanese soprano (1884-1946). Very attractive signed 4.75 x 6.75 inch photograph mounted onto a mat, shown most likely in the title role of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, inscribed. Clear and bold handwriting and signature. Total item size is 9.5 x 11.75 inches, beautiful item in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1885-1967) who had a very important international career in the 1910s and 20s, retired in 1935 and became a voice teacher - superstar Renata Tebaldi was one of her students. Signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed and dated in Buenos Aires in 1915. Size is 8.25 x 11.25 inches, some stains on edges of photo and on verso not on the image itself, discount reflected in price. 

Italian soprano (1855-1941). Signed cabinet photograph, shown as herself, mounted onto larger piece of cardboard containing an autographed musical quote from Boito's Mefistofele, the musical quote is inscribed in Lisbon, dated in 1883. Cabinet photo is 4.25 x 6.5 inches in very good condition ,total item size is 8.5 x 10.75 inches, some loose paper on edges of cardboard as well as mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. 

French tenor and music educator (1806-1882).  Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written in French and sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature. Size of each page is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, there is a tear in the middle of each page, discount reflected in price. 

French tenor (1825-?) who mostly performed concert recitals. Autograph letter signed, 2 pages of a 4 page folded document, written in French, sold untranslated.  Size of each page is 5.25 x 8 inches, several creases and small stains on the first page, otherwise in good condition.

British soprano (1837-1914), famous both for her litigation campaigns against lunacy laws and for judicial and prison reform, as well as her three-year love affair with the famous French composer Charles Gounod.  Autograph letter signed, 4 pages, written in Brighton, England in 1902, written in French, sold untranslated. Apparently addressed to the French pianist and composer Francis Thome. Size of each page is 5.25 x 8 inches, small creases and folds, otherwise in good condition.  

French mezzo-soprano (1820-1867). Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written in French, sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature. Size is 4.25 x 7 inches, small folds, in very good condition. 

Swedish contralto (1889-1943). One page receipt listing performances with the Nationaltheater, Munich, dated in April 1920 and signed by the artist. Size is 8.25 x 9 inches, small creases, otherwise in very good condition.

Canadian-American mezzo-soprano (1885-1958).  Group of 3 autograph letters signed, each is 2 pages, written in English, and written in New York. Two of these letters have page sizes of 7 x 10.5 inches, the other letter is 5 x 6.5 inches, each have small creases and folds but are otherwise in good condition. Not sold separately.      

Canadian-American mezzo-soprano (1885-1958).  Autograph note signed, 1 page, written in English. The note takes up a 5.5 x 8.75 inch folded portion of a  much larger page whose verso contains a 1936 New York Times review of one of her concert performances (see scans). In excellent condition. 

French soprano and comic actress (1849-1911) whose real name was Anne Marie-Louise Damiens. Starred in the world premiere productions of Offenbach's Le Roi Carotte,  Madame l'archiduc, La Creole, and Bagatelle.  Autograph note signed, 1 page, written in French, sold untranslated. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

French soprano, also known as "Mademoiselle de Taisy", a frequent performer at the Paris Opera  Comique. Autograph letter signed, 1 page, dated in 1864, written in French and sold untranslated. Signed as "Mademoiselle de Taisy." Size is 5.25 x 8 inches, some biographical information penciled in below the text, in very good condition. 

German-born soprano (1826-1907) who starred in the world premiere of Verdi's I Vespri Siciliani.  Autograph letter signed, dated in Paris in 1855, 1 page, written in French, sold untranslated. Size is 5.25 x 8 inches, small creases and bullet holes, otherwise in good condition. 

Italian mezzo-soprano/contralto (1826-1894), also known as Marietta Alboni.  Autograph letter signed, dated in 1854, 1 page, written in French and sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, small creases, folds, and bullet holes, otherwise in very good condition.

Star Swedish soprano (1843-1921), a fantastic bel canto singer, one of the most important opera stars of her time who sang at the inauguration night of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Set of 3 autograph letters signed, each of them have embossed letterheads, are 3 pages in length, written in French, and sold untranslated. One letter has a page size of 5.25 x 8 inches, dated in Paris in 1866, another is 4.5 x 7 inches, and the other is 4 x 5 inches. Each has small folds and bullet holes, otherwise in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

Star Australian soprano (1861-1931), who became one of the most famous singers of the late Victorian Era and the 20th century for her beautiful voice and technique. Autograph letter signed on embossed stationary, written in French, sold untranslated. 1 folded bold handwriting and signature. Size is 4.75 x 6.5 inches in excellent condition.

Famous Italian-born bass (1794-1858), who created the title role in Don Pasquale (opera by Donizetti) in 1843 and was well known throughout Europe for performing at important theatres. Set of two Autograph letters signed, each 2 pages, written in French, and sold untranslated, one dated in 1848, the other in 1849. These 2 letters are clasped together, with each page 4.75 x 7.25 inches in size. A few small bullet holes and some mounting traces on back (blank) page, otherwise in very good condition. Not sold separately.   

Italian soprano (1904-1998). Typed letter signed contract from La Scala, Milan sent to her, dated in 1942, 1 page typed document, with Adami-Corradetti's handwritten signature at bottom and  signature of  of La Scala manager Jenner Mataloni above. Size is 7.5 x 10.5 inches, some creases and folds, otherwise in excellent condition.

French tenor (1839-1924). Autograph Note signed, 1 page, written in French (sold untranslated), written on the letterhead of the Theatre National De L'Opera in Paris, dated in 1890. Size is 4.25 x 5 inches, some blue pen underlining and text at bottom in addition to the original text in black ink.  In well-preserved condition

Belgian mezzo-soprano (1867-1942), autograph note signed, written on both sides of an embossed 3.75 x 5.25 inch card, written in French, sold untranslated. There is a bend in the middle of the card, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Famous Italian tenor (1845-1896), whose career reached its height in the last 3 decades of the 1800s, and served as the leading tenor of the Metropolitan Opera in New York where he sang the title role of Gounod's Faust at the theatre's opening in 1883.  Autograph letter signed, 1 page of a folded 4-page document, written in Italian, sold untranslated, dated in Boston in 1878. Size of each page is 4.25 x 6.75 inches, total unfolded size is 6.75 x 8.5 inches, some very small smudges, otherwise in excellent condition. 

American contralto (1841-1904). Signature cut, written in English, size is 2.25 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

French soprano (1862-1940), autograph note signed on an embossed card, 1 page written in French, sold untranslated. Size is 3.5 x 4.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Famous English tenor (1774-1856), (his real name was Abraham). Braham performed at the world premiere of Oberon (opera by C.M Von Weber). Autograph letter signed, dated in 1819. One page, written in English. Size is 7 x 8.25 inches, some small smudges on front and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in good condition. Rare!
