Famous American heldentenor (1925-2005), especially celebrated for Wagnerian and Strauss heroic tenor roles but also known for French and Italian dramatic repertoire. Signed postcard photograph, shown as Canio in Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci, dated in Vienna in 1968. Photograph by Fayer photo studio, Vienna, 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. American-Hawaiian tenor (b.1957).  Signed photograph, shown in title role of Offenbach's Contes D'Hoffmann.  Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Scottish-born English baritone and voice teacher (1899-2000), a leading performer at Convent Garden and Glyndebourne in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s, particularly known for Mozart roles, later the teacher of Kathleen Ferrier among other noteworthy singers. Signed postcard with a photographic etching, showing him in the role of Massetto in Mozart's Don Giovani, dated at the Glyndebourne festival in 1935.  This drawing is by Kenneth Green, Glyndebourne Opera. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.  

Armenian tenor, also written as Grigoryan, (1951-2016), signed photograph, shown as himself. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Dutch baritone (1884-1959), signed postcard photograph, shown as himself, signed in Vienna. Signed on front with additional signature and inscription on verso. Blind stamp on front by Magasin Metropole photographers, Vienna. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, slight paper loss on edges, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1860-?). Autograph letter signed, written on a postcard, postmarked in 1895. Written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, slight stain near the bottom, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian soprano (1916-2000), daughter of the superstar tenor Beniamino Gigli. Autograph letter signed, written on the stationary of the Baur Au Lac Hotel in Zurich, dated in 1930, written in English and addressed to the Irish soprano Margaret Sheridan (1889-1958) (Rina Gigli was fourteen years old at this time and traveling with her parents). Text is on 2 pages of a 4 page sheet, (each page size is 5.75 x 7.25 inches), in excellent condition. 

Italian soprano (1877-1955), starred in the world premiere production of Pietro Mascagni's Isabeau in 1911.  Set of two autograph letters signed, both written in Italian, sold untranslated. The first scan is of a 4-page letter written in Milan in 1921 on all sides of a folded 5.25 x 8.25 inch sheet, signed as "Maria Riboldi Farneti", reflecting her marriage to lawyer Luigi Riboldi. The second scan is of a letter written on 3 sides of a folded 5.75 x 7.25 sheet, dated in Milan in 1920, and signed only as "Maria", both are in excellent condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Italian bass-baritone (1812-1891). Autograph letter signed, written in Bologna, dated in 1871, 1 page written in Italian, sold untranslated. Bold and clear handwriting signed as "F. Zucchini". Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

French mezzo-soprano (1821-1910), appeared as Fides in the world premiere production of Meyerbeer's Le Prophete as well as in the title role of Gounod's Sapho during its world premiere performances in 1851. Autograph letter signed, 1 page, written in French, sold untranslated, combined with a 1 page autograph note signed, written in English. Each item is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, both in excellent condition, not sold separately. 

Russian bass (1873-1938), possessor of a deep and expressive voice who enjoyed an important international career at major opera houses.  Autograph note signed written in French, dated in 1924, sold with a typed English translation, signed as "F. Chaliapin".  Size of original document is 8 x 10.5 inches, with some paper loss and wear on edges, not affecting the text and signature. 

American contralto (1841-1904). Autograph note signed, signed as "Antoinette Sterling MacKinlay", reflecting her 1874 marriage to John Mackinlay. 4-page folded document (each page is 3.5 x 4.5 inches, unfolded item is 3.5 x 8.75 inches) written in English, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1860-1931), starred as Silvio in the world premiere of Leoncavallo's Pagliacci. Autograph letter signed, written on both sides of a card with the emblem of the Grand Hotel de Londres in Naples, dated in 1906. Written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 3.5 x 5 inches, some wear and creases on top left and in the center of the card, priced accordingly. 

Italian baritone (1831-1918), autograph letter signed, written in Rome, dated in 1892, addressed to famous Italian conductor Leopoldo Mugnone. Written in Italian, sold untranslated. 3 pages of a 4 page folded document, size of each page is 4.5 x 7 inches (unfolded is 7.25 x 8.75 inches), in excellent condition.

German soprano (1888-1990). Typed letter signed, written in Hollywood, dated in 1950, written in German, sold untranslated. 2 pages on both sides of a 5 x 7.25 inch sheet, small tear on the left side, otherwise in very good condition. 

Italian soprano (1825-1882). Autograph letter signed, 2 pages of a folded 4-page document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned playbill for a recital concert in 1872 accompanied by her husband, pianist Eduardo Vera. Size is 7.75 x 10.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1875-1955), who had a very successful and prolonged career interpreting Italian operas. Autograph note signed, dated in Milan in 1906, written in Italian on the first page of a folded 4 page document, addressed to his agent, "Mr. Fano" and sold with a typed English transcription. Original letter is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

German opera singer and actress, also known as Klara Ziegler (1844-1909), a specialist in the Wagnerian repertoire. Autograph letter signed, dated in Munch in 1899, written in German on the first 2 pages of a 4-page document, sold untranslated. Signed as "Clara Ziegler". Size of each page is 5.25 x 7 inches, well-preserved in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1859-1937), appeared as Marcello in the world premiere production of Puccini's La Boheme at the Teatro Regio, Turin in 1896. Autograph letter signed, 2 pages on both sides of a 4 x 7 document, composed in Bologna in 1881, written in Italian, sold untranslated. In excellent condition!

Italian soprano (1824-?). Autograph letter signed, dated in 1859, 1 page of text on the first page of a 4 page folded document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5.25 x 8 inches, small tear on the right of the back pages without text, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian bass (1798-?), appeared in the world premiere performances of Donizetti's Marina Faliero. Autograph letter signed (signed as "V. Santini"), first 2 pages of a 4-page document, dated in 1832, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5 x 8 inches, tear on the back 2 pages without text, otherwise in excellent condition with bold and clear handwriting.

Belgian soprano (1834-1907), who performed in the French premiere of Tannhauser (1861), L’ Africaine (1865) and Don Carlo (1867). Autograph letter signed, one page embossed, written in French, sold untranslated. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, some tape residue at top right, otherwise in excellent condition.

Austrian soprano and mezzo-soprano (1803-1852). Set of autograph letters signed, one is handwritten by her and dated in 1841, the other dated in 1837 is in another person's handwriting but signed by her. The 1841 letter is on the first 2 pages of a 4 page document, 5.5 x 8.25 inches, slight tear on last 2 pages without text but otherwise in excellent condition. The 1837 letter is 1 page 5.5 x 7.75 inches with small stains on left side and tear on back pages but otherwise in good condition. Both are in Italian and sold untranslated. Not sold separately.

Moravian-born soprano and teacher (1853-?), autograph letter signed, 4 pages, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Each page is 5 x 8 inches, attractively embossed with her first name on the front page, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1844-1915). Autograph letter signed, 2 pages of text on four-page folded document, written in Italian, sold untranslated, signed as "Elisa Donzelli". Each page is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, small page on the top right of back 2 pages (no text), otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian soprano, also known as Bina Steffanone or Steffenoni, (1825-1896), sang throughout Europe and in the United States between 1842-1862. Autograph letter signed, 3 pages of text on 4 sided folded document, embossed on the front page, composed in Italian, sold untranslated. Each page is 5.25 x 8 inches, very slight tear at top of last two pages, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian tenor, helped supervise the construction, purchase of materials, and hiring of workers for the building of the Teatro Sao Joao in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, which opened in 1812. Autograph letter signed, text on first 3 pages of a 4 page folded document, written in Spanish, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 7 x 9.5 inches, unfolded document is 9.5 x 14 inches, somewhat faded text and small tear on third page not affecting the text or signature, priced accordingly.

Adelina Spech-Salvi, Italian soprano and voice teacher (1811-1886), autograph letter signed, dated in 1881, 1 page, written in Italian, sold untranslated, size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, very small tear on top right, otherwise in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED: Autograph letter signed from her father and teacher, Italian tenor Giuseppe Spech, composed in Bologna, Italy, 1 page in Italian, sold untranslated, size is 7 x 9.5 inches, small stain in middle and slight tear at top but otherwise in very good condition. Not sold separately.

Italian mezzo-soprano (1859-1932), who appeared in the world premiere productions of Alberto Franchetti's Asrael and Cristoforo Columbo, also married to the famous Spanish dramatic tenor Francisco Vinas. Autograph letter signed, dated in 1881, 2 pages on both sides of a two-sided document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian bass (1806-58), appeared as Cardinal Salviati in the world premiere production of Franz Lachner's Benvenuto Cellini in Munich in 1849 (not the opera of the same name by Hector Berlioz). Autograph letter signed, dated in Munich in 1831, 1 page, written in French, sold untranslated. Addressed to "Monsieur Richard, the Director of the Theatre Royal in Paris. Size is 8.5 x 10.25 inches, faded background and tear at left side (but not affecting the text and signature), but clear and legible text and signature.

Croatian-born baritone (1837-1908), who sang in the world premiere production of Ponchielli's I Lituani. He was also the brother of Romilda Pantaleoni, the first Desdemona in Verdi's Otello. Autograph letter signed, in Italian, sold untranslated, dated in 1881. Size is 5.25 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1847-1917), premiered the role of Desdemona in Verdi's Otello in 1887, as well as Tigrana in Puccini's Edgar in 1889. Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written on both sides of a document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, very slight tear at bottom, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Italian tenor (1806-1875), appeared in the world premiere productions of Verdi's Giovanna D'Arco and Donizetti's Torquato Tasso, as well as other operas. Autograph letter signed, 1 page, written in Italian, sold untranslated, dated in 1841. Text on the first page of the 4-page folded document, page's size is 5.5 x 8.5 inches, small tear on the back page without text, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian bass, sang the role of the King in the European premiere production of Verdi's Aida at La Scala, Milan in 1872. Autograph note signed, with a brief textual quote from the final act of that opera, bold and clear signature, page size is 5 x 8 inches, in excellent condition. Vintage historic item!

Italian soprano (1866-1938), also known as "Frances Prevost", autograph letter signed (with the latter name), 2 pages, written on first and third pages of 4 sided document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size of each page (when folded) is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian baritone and voice teacher (?-1896), autograph note signed, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 5.25 x 8 inches, very slight tear on top right otherwise in excellent condition.

French tenor and teacher (1787-1866). Autograph letter signed, dated in 1847. Written in French, sold untranslated. Document consists of four folded pages, text is on the first two. Size is 5.25 x 8 inches, small tear and ink stain on back pages (without text), otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1800-1853), appeared in the world premiere productions of four very important operas by Gaetano Donizetti: Fausta, Sancia di Castiglia, Gemma di Vergy, and Roberto Devereux. Autograph letter signed, dated in Milan in 1836, 2 pages of text on a 4 page folded document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Each page is 8 x 10 inches, small stains and bullet hole on back 2 pages without text, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Exceptional rare vintage item:  album page signed on the front side by Giovanni Batista Rubini, star Italian tenor (1794-1854), who performed in many premieres of operas by Bellini and Donizetti including the former's I Puritani, Italian soprano Fanny Persiani (1812-1867) who created the title roles in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor and Pia de Tolomei, her husband Italian composer Giuseppe Persiani (1799-1869) signed by the first two dated in London in 1842, with the composer's signature dated in London in 1843. Additional signature on verso is by the famous Italian-born bass Luigi Lablache (1794-1858), who created the title role in Donizetti's Don Pasquale in 1843 and also appeared in the world premiere productions of Verdi's I Masnaderi and Bellini's I Puritani and is also dated in London in 1842.  Page size is 7 x 7.75 inches, minor rust over the edges, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian mezzo-soprano (1835-1901). Autograph music quote signed and dated by her in Milan in 1895. Size is 4.75 x 7.25 inches, on brown carbon paper, in good condition.

Highly important Spanish opera singer (1775-1832), composer, impresario and singing teacher. García also created roles in several important world premieres. Interesting and very rare receipt, handwritten and signed by him, dated in 1804, for receiving money from Teatro Caños del Peral for the music of the musical tragedy "Athalie" (by Jean-Baptiste Racine, with choruses composed by Manuel Garcia).
