American bass-baritone (1898-1976), internationally renowned as singer and actor, very much involved in the Civil Rights Movement. Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed. Size is 3.5 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian tenor (1865-1943) and one of the most important Italian tenors of his day, having premiered many title roles during his career.  Signed postcard photograph, shown as himself, dated in Milan in 1909. Photograph by Ermini, Venice. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, some silvering and slight paper loss at the bottom outside of the image and signature area, otherwise in very good condition. 

Star Czech soprano (1878-1930), who developed a very important career on both sides of the Ocean.  Attractive signed postcard photograph, shown in role, dated in 1909. Bold signature. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Spanish coloratura soprano (1883-1946). Fine black and white photo postcard signed by her, shown probably in a role. Clear and bold handwriting and signature. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, beautiful vintage item in excellent condition. 

French tenor and actor (1878-1954), whose career was mostly associated to the French repertoire. Signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed. Blind stamped by photographer. Size is 4.25 x 6.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian mezzo-soprano (1869-?), signed postcard photograph, shown as herself, signed in Milan, dated in 1909. Clear and bold handwriting and signature. Photograph by Sciutto, Genova. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, vintage item in excellent condition. 

Italian baritone (1870-1940), active from the 1890s to the 1930s. Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed with sentiment, dated in Novara in 1912. 3.5 x 5.25 photograph mounted onto small piece of cardboard, total item size is 3.5 x 5.75 inches, some paper loss on right not affecting the signature or inscribed text, discount reflected in price.

Spanish tenor (1856-1914), very famous in his time and known as "the small Gayarre" (compared to star tenor Julian Gayarre). Interesting photograph (probably removed from an original cabinet-style photo) signed by him, shown as himself, dated in 1889. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, a few cracks and a metal clip mark at the top, in good condition. Autographs of Valero are extremely rare.

Italian tenor (1865-1957), best known for creating the role of Rodolfo in the world premiere of Puccini´s opera "La Boheme" in 1896. Signed photo postcard, showing him in La Boheme, next to Cesira Ferrani (the first Mimi), in a postcard series issued later. Gorga signed above some printed music notes, and inscribed this to a friend. Hand-written and signed on verso by the friend (Renato Blasio): (from Italian) "Tenor Evan Gorga autographed in his home in Rome, on Jan 23rd, 1952" and signs below. Size is 5.4 x 3.5 inches, scratches on front not affecting the signature nor the singers, otherwise in very good condition.

German tenor (1878-1944), signed postcard photograph, shown as himself, dated in Vienna in 1904. Photograph by Julius Weisz, Vienna. Size is  3.5 x 5.5 inches, some faded ink directly above the image, but not affecting his image or the clear and bold signature below, otherwise in very good condition. 

American bass-baritone (1927-1975), celebrated for many years at the New York City Opera. Signed photograph, shown in title role of Boito's Mefistofele, one of his most celebrated interpretations. Inscribed and dated in 1974. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

Mexican tenor and film actor (1895-1974), signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed and dated in 1927. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in very good condition.

Mexican tenor and film actor (1895-1974), signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed and dated in 1937. Stamped on verso by photographer Annemarie Heinrich, Buenos Aires. Size is 5 x 6.75 inches, some wear on edges and very slight paper loss on top left, but in generally good condition. 

Czech-Austrian soprano (1898-1958) who sang at the Metropolitan Opera between 1925 and 1935, and also became a regular Wagnerian singer in Bayreuth between 1930-1939. Gorgeous photograph boldly signed and inscribed by her, shown as herself, dated in 1931; stamped on verso by photographer Vajda M. Pal, Budapest. Size is 6.75 x 9 inches, very slight silvering at the bottom, otherwise in excellent condition. 

American soprano (1910-1996), concert singer, and the founder of the Harlem School of the Arts. Fine photograph signed and inscribed by her, shown as herself; stamped on verso by De Bellis Photo Studios, New York.  Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

Star Spanish lyric soprano (1923-2005) and recitalist whose career began after the Second World War and reached its height in the years from the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s. Signed photograph shown as herself, young, inscribed and dated in 1952. Bold handwriting and signature in attractive blue ink. Italian baritone (1875-1955), who had a very successful and prolonged career interpreting Italian operas. Signed photo postcard etching, shown in role, inscribed in New York and dated in 1908. Bold handwriting and clear signature. Etching is by G. Viafora with his printed signature on the front. Size is 3.25 x 5.5 inches, some creases on corners and wear, as well as small stains on verso, otherwise in good condition.

Romanian soprano (1910-1949), signed postcard photograph, shown as Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition. Listen to Mrs. Cebotari singing Musseta's Act II aria from La Bohème (sung in German):

Italian mezzo-soprano (1946-1998), largely associated with Rossini opera roles. Signed photograph shown in the title role of Rossini's La Cenerentola, one of her most celebrated roles, at La Scala, Milan. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Star New Zealander soprano (b.1944), known for her interpretations of the Italian and French repertoire.  Signed photograph, shown in role.  Size is 6.75 x 9.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Austro-Hungarian and Romanian Jewish tenor and actor (1904-1942) who passed away still young, when he was at his peak in popularity. Signed photo postcard, shown as himself, size is 3.5 x 5 inches, some black ink on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.

American soprano (1914-1990), who created the title role in Vanessa, opera by Samuel Barber, at the world premiere in 1958 at the Metropolitan Opera. Gorgeous black and white photograph signed and inscribed by her, shown as Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a 1-page typed letter signed, written on the letterhead of the Eleanor Steber Music Foundation in New York, dated in 1979 which contains an additional handwritten signature below the typed text, size is 8.5 x 11 inches, slight creases on edges, but in otherwise good condition. Not sold separately. 

Italian baritone (1875-1955), who had a very successful and prolonged career interpreting Italian operas.  Signed Photograph, shown as himself, inscribed in Rome, dated in 1935. Contains printed signature of photographer Ermini, Milan below the handwritten signature of Stracciari's. This is a 6 x 8.25 inch photograph mounted on paper which is itself mounted onto soft cardboard, making the total item size 8.5 x 11.25 inches. Some bends on the bottom right loose edges of the cardboard mounting, but the photo itself is in excellent condition.

American bass-baritone (1906-1980), signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed and dated in 1946. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small bullet holes on each corner outside area of image and signature and small stains on verso, otherwise in good condition.
