Italian tenor (1895-?) who made his debut in 1912 at the Teatro Biondo of Palermo, Italy.  Large mat with a photo signed and inscribed by him, shown as Lohengrin in Wagner's opera.  Ink stamp below photo by photographer Rosario Carlino, Lecce, Italy.  Total size is 11.75 x 16.5 inches, actual photo is 7.1 x 11.9 inches, creases across all borders, otherwise in good condition.

Hungarian soprano (1896-?).  Larger size photo mounted on a mat, shown as herself, signed and dated by her in 1935; also signed in pencil below by photographer H. Eliascheff.  Total size is 9.9 x 13.8 inches, actual photo is 6.4 x 8.4 inches, some spotted rust stains, otherwise in excellent condition.

Austrian soprano (1896-1975), known for her interpretation of works by Richard Strauss.   Nice photograph mounted on a mat, signed and inscribed by the soprano to Music Director Max Ast, dated in 1926.  Photograph is blind-stamped on the front by photographer Ellinger, Salzburg; and also signed in pencil by the photographer over the lower-right corner.  Total size is 9.5 x 12.6 inches, actual photo is 6.4 x 8.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian tenor (1880-1954) of Danube Swabians origin.  Large size photograph mounted on a mat, shown as himself, signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, dated in Vienna, 1928.  Printed stamp on the front of the mat by photographer Residenz-Atelier.  Total size is 9.75 x 14 inches, actual photo is 5.9 x 7.6 inches, minor damages on corners, some silvering on the photo, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian bass who sang in Rome, Modena, and in other Italian opera theaters during the 1890s and 1900s.  Large signed photo mounted on a mat, shown in role, inscribed and dated in Modena, Italy, 1895.  Total size is 10.6 x 16.25 inches, actual photo is 7 x 14.25 inches, top border of the mat is missing but the photo itself is complete, with a minor loss of paper over the upper-left margin, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian bass (1878-1947) who had an important career as an opera singer in Italy during the first half of the XX Century.  Large signed photo mounted on a mat, shown as himself studying a score, inscribed to conductor Vittorio Gui, dated in Turin, 1925.  Total size is 10.1 x 14.5 inches, actual photo is 7.75 x 11.1 inches, large crease across the top of the mat, some cracks and creases over the lower border, loss of paper over the upper-left corner, priced accordingly.

Italian soprano (1877-1928) particularly associated with the dramatic roles of the verismo repertoire and the works of Richard Wagner.  Larger size photograph mounted on a mat, shown probably in role, signed by her and inscribed to the tenor Arturo Scaramella with a short sentiment, dated in 1901.  Total size is 9.7 x 14 inches, actual photo is 6.6 x 9.7 inches, water damage over right margin, some creases, few peeling spots over photo, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian baritone (1887-1940).  Larger size photo portrait mounted on a mat, shown as Vittelio Scarpia in Puccini's Tosca, signed, inscribed and dated by him in Rio de Janeiro, 1920.  Total size is 9.5 x 14.5 inches, actual photo portrait is 5.25 x 10 inches, spotted rust, minor creases, in good condition.

Romanian soprano (1910-1949), considered one of the biggest stars in Europe during the '30s and '40s, particularly in Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, and Strauss operas.  Printed personal score of the aria "Un bel dí vedremmo" from Act 2 of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, signed on the front cover (top) by her and handwritten lyrics in German (black fountain ink) and in Romanian (blue fountain ink) by her (not shown in pictures).  Size is 10.25 x 13.5 inches, 6 pages, loose covers with some cracks, folds, central fold, loss of paper over upper right corner; inner pages are in very good condition, with some cracks.

German soprano (1903-1959), particularly associated with the German repertory.  Large photo shown as Daphne in the world premiere of Strauss' Daphne.  Photo is mounted on a mat, signed and inscribed by her; mat is also signed in pencil by the photographer (illegible name), 1941.  Total size is 10.5 x 14.5 inches, actual photo is 6.9 x 9.25 inches, mounting traces on verso, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1882-1952), well known for her specialized performances in Verismo operas.  Large photograph signed and inscribed by him, shown as Carlo Gerard in Giordano's Andrea Chenier, dated (illegible).  Photo is ovalized and mounted on a mat by photographer A. Coen.  Total size is 10.25 x 14 inches, photo is 6.8 x 9.25 inches, some rust stains, repaired cracks and creases on corners, in overall very good condition.

Romanian soprano (1857-1926) and teacher of Brazilian soprano Bidu Sayao.  Larger size album page inscribed by the Romanian soprano in French, in purple ink, dated in Lisbon, 1887.  Attached at the center is a fine cabinet photo of the soprano, shown probably as Carmen.  Photo is also signed by her famous pupil, the Brazilian soprano Sayao, who inscribed with a short sentiment in Portuguese and dated it in New York, 1987. Total size is 9.3 x 12.4 inches, cabinet photo is 4.5 x 6.7 inches, minor damages on corners, rust stains, otherwise in very good condition.

French tenor (b.1963), of Sicilian ancestry, one of the most popular tenor voices, and Ukrainian-American bass (1941-2025).  Wonderful double signed photograph, shown in Donizetti´s opera L´Elisir d´Amore at the Metropolitan Opera. Size is 8 x 10 inches, photographer sticker on verso by Winnie Klotz, New York, in excellent condition.

French soprano (1869-1941), and also actress and author.  Larger size photo signed by her, shown as "Arianne" during the world premiere of the Play "Arianne et Barbe-Bleue" by Maurice Maeterlinck (1899), later adapted to opera by Dukas. Photo is mounted on a mat with her large signature at the bottom and inscribed at the top to Jules Danbé (conductor of the Opera-Comique).  Photo is blind-stamped on the front by photographer Dupont, Brussels.  Total size is 10.8 x 13.75 inches, actual photo is 6.6 x 8.25 inches (visible window size), large crease from left to right at the center, small creases on corners, otherwise in very good condition.

German soprano (1886-1977) who had a successful career as an interpreter of Strauss and Wagner heroines.  Large wonderful signed photo shown as herself, ovalized and mounted on a photographer mat, inscribed to opera director Max Ast, dated in Vienna, 1926.  Photo is also signed in pencil by the photographer (illegible name).  Total size is 9.75 x 12.9 inches, actual photo is 6.2 x 8.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian bass-baritone (1889-1976) who appeared at the Salzburg Festival from 1922 to 1959 and created the leading role of Mandryka in Strauss' Arabella, among others.  Large size photograph signed by him and inscribed with a short sentiment to opera director Max Ast.  Photo is mounted on a photographer mat with the sticker "Residenz-Atelier", Vienna; and blind-stamped on the front.  Total size is 9.8 x 14 inches, actual photo is 6.25 x 7.75 inches, minor silvering on margins, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1889-1976) who also performed roles for mezzo-soprano during her career.  Larger size photograph shown as Salome in Strauss' opera, signed by her, inscribed and dated in Bologna, 1928.  Photo is also signed in white ink by photographer M. Castagneri, 1924.  Size is 9.4 x 11.75 inches, mounting traces on verso, in excellent condition.

Italian tenor (1888-1954) who had an important career in Italy, the United States and Europe during the first half of the XX Century.  Large size half-tone photo shown as Pollione in Bellini's Norma, printed by Magazine "Il Teatro Illustrato", Milan.  Photo is signed by him and inscribed to the famous Italian conductor Vittorio Gui with one music note, dated in Torino, 1925.  Size is 9.1 x 13.1 inches, in very good condition.

Italian baritone (1887-1951) who enjoyed an important international career during the first half of the XX Century.  Signed photo shown as himself, inscribed, dated in 1930.  Photo is mounted on a mat of 9.5 x 13.25 inches, actual photo is 6.9 x 9.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Chilean soprano (1884-1964) who enjoyed an important international career during the first half of the XX Century.  Signed photograph shown in role, mounted on a mat by photographer Nicolas, Rio de Janeiro.  Total size is 9.25 x 13 inches, actual photo is 6.5 x 8.6 inches, photo is in excellent condition, mat has spotted rust.

Austrian soprano (1878-1948).  Signed photo shown as herself, inscribed with a short sentiment.  Size is 6.4 x 8.6 inches, light contrast in the signature, in very good condition.

Italian tenor (1865-1943) and one of the most important Italian tenors of his day, having premiered many title roles during his career.  Signed photo shown in the title role of Montemezzi's Giovanni Gallurese, inscribed, mounted on a mat by photographer Adolfo Ermini, Milan.  Total size is 9 x 13.3 inches, actual photo is 6.4 x 8.3 inches, part of the ink has come off from the picture, some silvering on edges, a couple of scratches, in very good condition.  Rare!

Italian tenor (1874-1932) who debuted in Italy as Manrico in 1892, being that his most successful role.   Signed photo, inscribed and dated in Chicago, 1908.  Photo is mounted on a photographer mat of an originally larger size but trimmed (letter "c" of Chicago is barely over the edge).  Size is 6.75 x 8.6 inches, in overall very good condition.

Spanish tenor (b.1965), signed photo, shown in role. Size is 5 x 7.25 inches, in excellent condition.

American mezzo-soprano (1870-1951), also known as Sara Cahier. Signed musical quote on a postcard, dated in 1908 (signed as "Madame Charles Cahier" which is also her official name-stamp on verso). Bold and clear signature. Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano, signed photo, shown as Fiordispina in Cimarosa's L'impresario in angustie, dated in 1946. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian soprano, signed photo, shown as Madilla Jouvenot in Cilea's Adriana Lecouvreur, inscribed and dated in 1942. Photo by M. Camuzzi, La Scala, Milan. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian tenor (1891-1948), signed photo postcard, shown as himself, young, signed in Dresden, dated in 1918. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

American soprano (1906-1983), who had a very quick rise to fame as she was the youngest prima donna to debut in the Metropolitan Opera of New York in 1926.  Signed photograph shown as herself, inscribed and dated in 1926.  Printed signature on front by photographer Mishkin, New York. Size is 6 x 8 inches, in excellent condition. 

Famous English tenor (1774-1856), (his real name was Abraham). Braham performed at the world premiere of Oberon (opera by C.M Von Weber). Autograph note signed, one page, written in English, size is 4.5 x 7.25 inches, in excellent condition. Also included: 1 unsigned photo, shown as himself, size is 4 x 5.75 inches, also in excellent condition. Rare!

Prominent Italian tenor and singing teacher, usually known only as "Marco Bordogni" (1789-1856), appeared in the 1825 world premiere performances of Gioachino Rossini's Il Viaggo a Reims, in the role of the Conte di Libenskof. Autograph musical quote signed, dated in Paris in 1851. Rare vintage historic item, 6 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition!

German contralto (1892-1969) remembered for her performances of Wagner and Strauss heroines.  Large photograph shown as herself, signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment.  Photo is mounted on a photographer mat, signed in pencil by photographer Zimbler, Vienna (also blind-stamped in front of the photo, not on the mat).  Total size is 9.6 x 15.7 inches, actual photo is 6.25 x 8.75 inches, minor creases, some wear on the edges, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1875-1955), who had a very successful and prolonged career interpreting Italian operas.  Larger size photo signed by him, inscribed and dated in Barcelona, Spain, 1924; photo by Le Shay, New York.  Size is 8 x 12 inches, repaired crack over the left margin, crease at the top, irregularly cut borders, minor silvering on edges, mounting traces on verso, in overall very good condition.

Russian-born Austrian soprano (1920-1987) and German soprano (1919-1988).   Double signed album page with an attached half-tone photo of the artists shown as themselves, over the upper border.  Size is 8.25 x 11.75 inches, overall even age-toning, repaired storage holes, in excellent condition.

Celebrated Swedish soprano (1918-2005) and Italian superstar tenor (1921-2008).  Double signed album page with an attached half-tone photo of the 1961 production of Puccini's Turandot over the upper border.  Size is 8.25 x 11.75 inches, overall even age-toning, storage holes, in excellent condition.

Celebrated Italian baritone (1922-1967), Italian superstar tenor (1921-2003), and Italian leading soprano (1929-2022).  Album page signed by the three artists with an attached half-tone photograph of the 1961 production of Verdi's La Battaglia di Legnano over the upper border.  Size is 8.25 x 11.75 inches, overall even age-toning, storage holes, in excellent condition.

Argentine soprano (1896-1969), who enjoyed a major opera career centered in Italy during the 1920s and 1930s.  Beautiful photo signed by her and inscribed to "Casa Americana", dated in Buenos Aires, 1930.  Size is 8.4 x 10.9 inches, small loss of paper over lower-right corner, some dirt over borders, in very good condition.

French baritone (1904-1990), who enjoyed a successful international career.  Larger size photograph of a portrait of him shown as Pelleas in Debussy's Pelleas et Melisande, signed by him at the top.  Photo has also a short music quote with two bars of music from Act 4 Scene 4 of the opera, written by him over the lower border.  Size is 7.25 x 13.8 inches, in excellent condition.

German tenor (1823-1893).  Large album page signed by him, dated in Vienna, 1870, with a four-lines text quote at the top, written in German by him.  Text translation is as follows: "My life has always been dedicated to art.  All my strength I gave to its care.  The Holy Goddess gave me her favour, it has always been rewarded, it has always been achieved."  Size is 12.75 x 9.3 inches, in excellent condition.

French opera singer (1891-1974) and actress who enjoyed a film career of over sixty years and who became a legendary figure in French cinema.  Active between 1911 and 1973.  Larger size signed photo shown in role, inscribed with a short sentiment, dated in 1936.  Photo is mounted on a slightly larger cardboard.  Size is 9 x 11.6 inches, in very good condition.

Ukrainian-born American singer and actress (1887-1966).  Large photo of the artist, signed, inscribed, dated by her in 1936.  The photo is also signed by photographer Maurice Seymour over the lower-right corner.  Size is 10.3 x 13.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1886-1975) and one of the leading opera singers active during the inter-war period of the 20th century.  Large signed photo shown as himself, inscribed to "Casa America", dated twice in Buenos Aires, 1929, in white ink.  Size is 10.6 x 14.6 inches, small creases on corners, otherwise in very good condition.

Belgian soprano (1888-1973), one of France's most celebrated opera singers from the 1910s to the 1930s.  Large portrait signed and inscribed by her in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1912.  The portrait is mounted on a mat of 11.5 x 14.25 inches, color print is 9 x 11.5 inches, creases, pinholes, some dirt on the mat, actual photo in far better condition but with a small cut at the center.
