American pianist (1880-1952) of German ascent, developed as a concert pianist in Europe where he toured extensively, later in America as well where he became a piano educator. Buhlig left recordings and focused later on in contemporary/modern composers. Signed photo postcard, dated in 1924, wrote the date when this photo was taken (1907, at age 27), and "Please God I no longer look like this!" on top of his signature. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Program for a concert by star violinist Ole Bull, who performs one of his own compositions as well as music by Paganini. In good condition, 6 x 9.5 inches,  paper missing at the top but the rest is very good without cracks or folds, 4 pages, has some annotations in pencil.

Norwegian-born violinist (1810-1880), one of the greatest violin players of the 19th Century.  Signed carte-de-visite (CDV) photograph, with a short sentiment ("Truly Yours"). A photo by H.T. Anthony, New York, 2.4 x 4 inches, in excellent condition. On verso, ink markings by another hand, "this autograph of Ole Bull was obtained in Bergen, Norway, August 10th, 1868 by professor J.J. Watson while on a visit to the great artist. Presented to Doc. L.B. Larkin by his friend J.J. Watson, Sept. 28th, 1868". Watson was an American violinist, composer and teacher who visited Bull twice in Bergen, while Larkin was a physician and spiritualist.

Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Amiens, September 30th, 1923, where he addresses the poet Édouard David (1863-1932): “…S’il me fallait choisir entre les trois pièces que vous avez fait représenter, et qui m’ont, toutes trois, vivement intéressé, je donnerais la palme, incontestablement, à Ech’ Pardon…”.  Size is 4.3 x 6.8 inches, 2 written pages in one folded sheet, in excellent condition.

Fine autograph letter in French (sold with translation -not shown) with the printed image of Hector Berlioz over the upper-left side of the letter, signed by von Bulow and dated in 1882, commenting about his admiration for the music of Berlioz and other musical stuff.  Size is 8.25 x 10.75 inches, 1 page, folds, overall rust tone and creases, blue crayon markings over the text, in overall very good condition.

German conductor, pianist, and composer (1830-1894), one of the most famous conductors of the 19th century. Beautiful autograph music quote with 4 bars of original, unpublished music inspired by Lillian Russell (very famous American actress and singer, 1860-1922). Von Bulow writes under the music notes "Sketch of nocturne inspired by the bewitching eyes of Miss Lillian Russell, New York, 26 April 1889". Size is 7 x 4.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Full program for a performance with the Symphony Society of New York (later New York Philharmonic), under the baton of Walter Damrosch at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. Hans von Bulow performs as piano soloist in two full concertos (by Beethoven and Liszt), plus a piece of his own composition. Signed postcard photograph, shown as himself, inscribed, dated in Berlin in 1897. Photo by Marcus, Berlin. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, there is a significant cut at the bottom right (although the full text and image are still present). Discount reflected in price. 

German baritone (1847-1902), and creator of famous roles such as Kienzl's "Der Evangelimann" and "Don Quixote". Autograph letter in German signed by him, dated December 11, 1882, where he addresses a gentleman, thanking him for the invitation to take part in a concert and arranging some details for both the music to be sung and the related rehearsals.  Size is 11.1 x 8.4 inches, four written pages in one folded sheet, central fold, overall age toning, some dust stains, in overall very good condition. Short summary translated into Italian is ALSO INCLUDED.
