Star Greek-American soprano (1923-1977), signed book "La Callas", written by Friedrich Herzsfeld, inscribed and dated in Paris in 1976 on the frontend pages. This is the 2nd edition of this book (1962), published by Rembrandt Verlag, in German. Fine photographs of Callas in performance, 61 numbered pages, 5.6 x 7.4 inches, minor wear on spine, in very good condition.

Wonderful set of 2 signed items, a photograph of Maria Callas, shown in the title role in Norma, her most famous role, and a program for a performance of this opera at Covent Garden in London, 1952. A perfect match. Besides Maria Callas, program is signed by various other artists in the cast: Giacomo Vaghi, Mirto Picchi, conductor Vittorio Gui and one unidentified signature in red. Full program with all pages and covers, 4,75 x 7.4 inches, the autograph photo is 5.9 x 4.1 inches, in excellent condition. A very rare, wonderful pair of Callas signed memorabilia items. Star Greek-American soprano (1923-1977), signed photo, shown at the dressing room at La Scala, Milan, after a performance of Gluck´s opera "Alceste".  Signature has faded and shows poor contrast, and it is over the top left corner. Callas wrote "Cordialmente, Maria Meneghini Callas 1954" in blue fountain pen ink. Part of the signature is over a darker area, the rest is still visible but has faded. See full scan and close-up. Priced accordingly. Size is 8 x 10 inches, this is a second generation print, enlarged from a smaller photograph, small creases over the top, in excellent condition.

Boldly signed by her at the bottom, size is 5 x 7 inches, ink stamped on verso by photographer Erio Piccagliani, Teatro La Scala, Milan. In excellent condition. This is one of the more rare autographs of Callas, since this is a role she only performed at the beginning of her career, when she was still in her 20s.
