Star Greek-American soprano (1923-1977), wonderful, rare photograph showing her in November 1954, during rehearsals for the La Scala production of "La Vestale". This was the famous production of Luchino Visconti, the first of 5 opera productions he would do with Callas. Callas is discussing with 3 conductors: Arturo Toscanini on the left, Victor de Sabata, standing and facing front, and conductor of this production Antonino Votto, seen from behind. Boldly signed by her with a white-inked felt tip pen, signature dated by her in 1975, inscribed to Italian tenor Ferrando Ferrari.  Mounted on a flat wood that is 0.4 inches thick, size is 11.75 x 9.25 inches, Some retouches at the top border since parts of the photo paper was lost, some at the bottom as well, not affecting the signature nor the images. In overall very good condition, can be framed or hung on a wall as is. An extremely rare and informal image of the star soprano, with 3 important directors - first time we have seen it signed by her.

Photo signed by the star American-Greek soprano (1923-1977), shown in the title role in Norma - her most famous role!. Performance at Teatro La Scala, Milan, photo also states it is from the season 1951-52, and is 4 x 6 inches, attached to a larger piece of paper (4.75 x 7.1 inches) and inscribed by Callas at the bottom ("A Gian Piero - con simpatia"). There is a short message on the back by someone else, photo comes with an envelope addressed to Callas first husband. This autograph photo was part G.B. Meneghini´s estate. In very good condition.

Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, 64 pages plus covers, in excellent condition.  Other signed item is a 4-page inset, with the cast for a performance of "Trovatore" on June 26th, 1953, signed on the first page by Maria Callas, James Johnston, Jess Walters, Giulietta Simionato and conductor Alberto Erede. Star Greek-American soprano (1923-1977), signed program for a symphonic performance given by the New York Philharmonic in 1957, of music by Igor Stravinsky, conducted by the composer with various soloists. Callas attended this performance and kindly signed this program for someone in the audience. Full program with all pages and covers, includes full text of Stravinsky's Persephone. Callas signed on at the top of the cover page -see scan. A very rare and unique autograph piece by Callas.

Star Greek-American soprano (1923-1977), signed program for a ballet performance in St. Petersburg, Russia, 1970. Callas attended this performance and kindly signed this program for someone in the audience. Full program with all pages and covers, 7 x 8.5 inches, includes an album page with ticket stubs, Callas signed on the central pages - see scans. A rare, rather strange, casual and certainly unique autograph piece by Callas.

Rare 4-page program for a performance of Aida at Royal Opera House, June 6th 1953, signed by Maria Callas on the cast page, together with other singers: Giulietta Simionato, Kurt Baum and Marian Nowakowski. Size is 7.1 x 9.25 inches, minor wear, in excellent condition. See scans of pages 2 and 1.

Program for her only recital at Gran Teatro del Liceu, Barcelona, on May 5, 1959, signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment at the top of the first page above her photograph as Alceste, dated on May 5th, 1959 (a printed signature of her appears below the photograph). Full program with all pages and covers, size is 8.7 x 12.25 inches, in excellent condition. Programs of Callas' only performance in Barcelona are extremely rare to find, and even more difficult to find any signed by her.

Concert program from Carnegie Hall, April 15th 1974, one of the last performances of the diva in New York! - Callas sang with Giuseppe Di Stefano, Robert Sutherland was at the piano. Full program with all pages and covers, 8.25 x 11 inches. Signed by Callas, inscribed, some check marks, but complete and in very good condition.

Star Greek-American soprano (1923-1977), signed photo, contained within full program of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, from the 1955-56 Teatro di San Carlo season, in which she sang the title role. Signed next to her photo on a cast photo page, shown as herself, proximate to photos of other performers. Full opera program written in Italian, 20 pages total including cover and back. Size is 6 x 8.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Only cover of Time Magazine (issued October 29, 1956) signed by the Greek-American diva after her debut at The Metropolitan Opera House, New York. Size is 7.25 x 10.9 inches, two folds, trimmed over the left and right borders, front cover ONLY (not full magazine), otherwise in very good condition.

Cover (only) of the Canadian edition of the Time Magazine issued on October 29, 1956, featuring a portrait of Maria Callas on its cover, signed and inscribed by her. Size is 8.4 x 11.2 inches, evident folds, irregular cut left border, storage holes, sticker over the bottom, otherwise in very good condition.

Original program for a performance of Bellini's opera Norma at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, on November 18, 1952, featuring Maria Callas, Ebe Stignani, Mirto Picchi, Joan Sutherland, under the baton of Vittorio Gui, signed by the star Greek soprano and the by-then unknown Joan Sutherland who sang the part of Clotilde. Size is 4.75 x 7.4 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in excellent condition. Very rare!

Nice poster of the star soprano shown as Violetta Valèry in Verdi's "La Traviata" for an exhibit at the Theater Museum, London. Size is 20 x 30 inches, minor damages, in overall very good condition.

TIME magazine, 1956, celebrating the diva´s debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, with article about her. Full magazine with all pages and covers, in very good condition, 8.25 x 11 inches.

Rare 35 mm filmstrip with color pictures (slides or positives) from one of the 2 first performances of Tosca at the Met with Maria Callas in November 1956. Giuseppe Campora and George London shared the cast with Callas. Over 50 frames all in one filmstrip, most depict actual shots taken from the stage with these singers, a few are title slides and shots of historical sites in Italy where Tosca takes place. This is a rare document produced by the Met Opera Guild in 1956 and highly collectible for any Callas fan!.
