Faccio mentions the rehearsals for the La Scala premiere of Aida. One page, sized 5.3 x 8.2 inches, spotted rust, otherwise in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned promo carte-de-visite (cdv) of Faccio, sized 2.5 x 4.25 inches, in very good condition.

Italian conductor, composer, and opera manager (1840-1891). Faccio conducted the world premiere of Verdi´s Otello and the revised versions of Simon Boccanegra and Don Carlo, and the Italian premiere of Aida. Faccio created two operas, and was also the manager of Teatro La Scala for some time.  Autograph note signed, in Italian, dated in Trieste in 1893, one page, 5.25 x 8 inches, sold untranslated, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED are three programs for performances at La Scala in 1888, all 3 with Faccio as conductor: two colored paper programs, one in 1 page and another in 4 pages, 8.1 x 11.75 inches, and a white paper program, one page, 9.4 x 6.75 inches, both in excellent condition.
