Autograph letter in German signed by him, dated 1910, written on a postcard to his friend and President of the Swiss Confederation Ernst Brenner, starting by quoting the second stanza of Schiller’s lyrics for Beethoven’s An die Freunde and commenting how exultant and dear is that music to him. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, written on both sides, overall rust tone, in very good condition.

German dramatic bass-baritone (1838-1914). 2-bar autograph music quote signed by him with a short text in German (apparently) written by him, dated 1898. Size is 9.25 x 6 inches, minor stains, in very good condition.

German bass-baritone (1838-1914), a famous Wagner interpreter in his time. After a very successful career in Europe, Fischer moved to America, singing at the Metropolitan Opera in New York between 1885 and 1891, returning later, in 1907. Fischer also toured extensively through the USA, with another opera company. Original cabinet photo by J. Baer, Rotterdam, with a music quote at the bottom by him, simply signed as Emil. On top of the notes, there is a short sentiment handwritten by baritone Fritz Rieger (1811-1885). Fine cabinet photo signed by the German bass, dated in Boston, 1890; an original photograph by Falk (New York).
