Italian tenor (1859-1915), starred in 1889 in the world premiere of Puccini’s opera ‘’Edgar" at La Scala, Milan, singing the title role. Signed photograph, shown as himself. This is a 5.25 x 8.25 solid cabinet photo mounted onto an album page, total item size is 9.5 x 12.25 inches, his signature and inscription is on the front right side of the album page, composed at a tilted angle, dated in Lisbon in 1892. There is also an additional inscription and signature of an unidentified individual on verso. There are several smudges on the album page, not affecting the written portion, photo itself has a few smaller smudges on various edges not affecting his image, otherwise in excellent condition. Rare and attractive historical item!

Russian-born American pianist, conductor, and composer (1878-1936), settled in the United States in 1918 where he conducted the Detroit Symphony Orch., although he continued his very successful career as a concert pianist.  Group of 1 Autograph letter signed and dated in 1910, two pages and 7 typed letters signed and dated in 1910 except one (1918). The autograph letter is 5.75 x 7.4 inches in size and the typed letters are 8.5 x 11 inches in size each one; all of them in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED are a small card signed by him and one unsigned photo postcard of the pianist shown young.  SOLD ONLY AS A LOT, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.
