French violinist (1863-1916). Lot of five autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated between 1899 and 1900. Letters are addressed to musicians such as Mademoiselle Blanchard and concern rehearsals of music pieces of Joachim Raff and Mozart, upcoming trips, and other private matters.  Different sizes, lengths, in very good condition or better. Turkish soprano (1928-2008), unsigned photo, shown with composer Francois Poulenc following a performance of his opera "Dialogues Des Carmelites" in its world premiere production at La Scala, Milan in 1957. Especially celebrated for her bel canto interpretations, Gencer's repertoire encompassed over seventy roles. Stamped on verso by Erio Piccagliani, Milan, 9.5 x 7 inches, some bending at corners but otherwise in excellent condition.

Turkish star soprano (1928-2008), who was a gifted singer for bel canto  and had a repertory encompassing more than seventy roles. Known as "La Regina" in the opera world. Signed photo as Lady MacBeth in Verdi's opera at Teatro Communale di Firenze, inscribed and dated in 1986. Size 7 x 9.5 inches.

Program with many illustrations for a performance of the one-act opera "La Prova di un'Opera Seria" by Gnecco at Gran Teatro La Fenice in February 1983 with the star Turkish soprano in the leading role of Coriglia, signed by her.  Size is 6.75 x 9.3 inches, full program with all pages and covers, including an insert of the same size, both in excellent condition.

ALSO INCLUDED are TWO clips from Metropolitan Opera programs, both from December 1912, for 2 separate performances by Genee and M. Volinin. Programs included a part of "Camargo" - An excellent addition if you plan to frame the photo.

American circus performer whose real name was Charles Sherwood Stratton (1838-1883), a dwarf who achieved great fame. Set of 2 cards: one signed and inscribed by him; and another by his wife who dated her autograph on November 12, 1915.
