Swedish-American film actress (1905-1990), a superstar icon during both the silent film era and the classic period; very active in films between 1920 and 1941. Check completed with a typewriter and signed by her with a blue ink pen, dated in 1963.  Size is 6 x 2.7 inches, irregular left border, in excellent condition. Autographs of Greta Garbo are extremely rare!

Swedish film actress (1905-1990), a superstar icon during both the silent film era and classic periods. Garbo was active in films between 1920 and 1941. Signed photo, 5.3 x 7.5 inches, ink stamps and mounting marks on verso, minor scratches on front surface not affecting the signature, otherwise in good condition - Garbo autographed photos are extremely rare!

Russian-born American cellist (1909-1997) and teacher, active between 1923 and 1997. Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment dated 1944, shown young. Size is 7.9 x 10.2 inches, evident crease over the top, otherwise in very good condition.

Spanish conductor (b. 1978), since the 2017/2018 season he has been Generalmusikdirektor of the Theater Chemnitz (Germany) and Principal Conductor of the Robert-Schumann-Philharmonie and, since January 1, 2020, also Musical Director of the Teatro de la Zarazuela. Signed photograph with clear and bold handwriting and signature. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

French baritone (1875-1946), great grandson of the famous tenor Manuel Garcia. Signed photograph, shown as himself, a photo by Dover Street Studios, London. Size of photo is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, mounted onto soft cardboard, total item size is 4 x 6.5 inches. Some silvering at the top of the photo, otherwise in excellent condition.

American actor (b.1956) and director, who rose to prominence for his participation in the film The Untouchables (1987); active in films since 1978. Fantastic color screenshot photograph signed by him with a short sentiment, shown in a film. Size is 9.9 x 7.9 inches, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.

French soprano (1895-?), made her debut in 1917 and sang primarily at the leading opera houses of the French province. In 1922 she joined to the Paris Opéra-Comique. Signed postcard photograph, shown in role, inscribed. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, attractive vintage item in excellent condition. 

French soprano (1814-1880) whose full name was Cecile Eugenie Mayer Garcia, a leading performer at the Opera Comique in Paris and prominent voice teacher, and who was also the wife of the famous Spanish baritone Manuel Garcia Jr. Autograph letter signed, 3 pages on a folded 4 page document, embossed, written in French and sold untranslated. Signed as "E. Garcia". Clear and bold handwriting and signature. Each page is 5.25 x 8 inches, small folds but otherwise in excellent condition.  

French soprano (1814-1880) whose full name was Cecile Eugenie Mayer Garcia, a leading performer at the Opera Comique in Paris and prominent voice teacher, and who was also the wife of the famous Spanish baritone Manuel Garcia Jr. Set of 4 autograph letters signed, each written in French and sold untranslated, three of these on embossed stationary. Signed as "E. Garcia". Clear and bold signature. Lengths of each letter range from 2 to 4 pages, most are 2 pages. Sizes range from 4 x 6 inches to 5.25 x 8 inches, several small folds but otherwise in very good condition.  Not sold separately. 

American musician (1942-1995) known for being the principal songwriter, lead guitarist, and vocalist with the rock band "Grateful Dead". Small autograph drawing on an album page signed and inscribed by him, dated 1993. Size is 5.25 x 3.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Spanish baritone (1805-1906), autograph note signed to Sir George Grove, 1 page, written in English, also sold with a typed English transcription. Original note is on the first page of a 4 page folded document, page size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Spanish baritone (1805-1906), English composer and musicologist (1813-1887), and  English composer, pianist, conductor and music educator (1816-1875), triple signed album page, 3 x 4.75 inches, mounted onto larger cardboard, total size is 3.75 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

Highly important Spanish opera singer (1775-1832), composer, impresario and singing teacher. García also created roles in several important world premieres. Interesting and very rare receipt, handwritten and signed by him, dated in 1804, for receiving money from Teatro Caños del Peral for the music of the musical tragedy "Athalie" (by Jean-Baptiste Racine, with choruses composed by Manuel Garcia). Spanish singer (1805-1906), music educator, and vocal pedagogue, who invented the first laryngoscope. Set of 2 autograph notes in French (sold untranslated) signed by him as simply "Garcia". Different sizes (4.1 x 5.1 inches and 4.3 x 7 inches), lengths, and conditions. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Spanish tenor (1775-1832), composer, impresario, and singing teacher, and father of the celebrated mezzo-sopranos Maria Malibran and Pauline Viardot. Rare contract handwritten and signed by Manuel Garcia and impresario Domenico Rossi on April 2, 1803, where Garcia gave up the rights to the Teatro Coliseo de los Caños de Peral, Madrid, of his opera "El Luto Fingido", premiered on May 30, 1803; and also obliging himself to sing his opera as many nights as requested. Size is 8.5 x 12.25 inches, 1 page, small loss of paper over the right border, some stains, printed at the top with an official seal, year 1803, central fold, in overall very good condition. This is a fabulous and rare document signed and handwritten by Garcia about one of his works as a composer and his commitment to singing as a tenor.

Gardel died tragically in a plane crash at age 45, when he was at the peak of his fame.   Large signed photograph, shown inside a car, inscribed and dated in Montevideo in October 1933. Stamped on verso by photographer Caruso, Montevideo, Uruguay,

Became one of the leading sopranos in the Opéra-Comique, admired for her acting skills, colorful voice and wide vocal range.    Set of three autograph letters signed, all handwritten by her, one of these is a 4.5 x 7 inch 4 page undated (folded) document, another a 2 page letter (5.25 x 7.25 inches) written on the stationary of the Splendide-Royal et Excelsior hotel, dated in 1912, both of these are written in French and sold untranslated. The other letter is written with the letterhead of the Ritz-Carlton hotel in New York, 2 pages in English, size is 5.5 x 7 inches. All of these are in very good condition, not sold separately.
