(…) As soon as I arrived here from London my old position as chef d’orchestre in the principal theatre in this city, was offered to me, and I have kept it ever since…”. Program for a performance of Ambroise Thomas' Hamlet at Teatro de la Opera, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1898, with Luisa Tetrazzini and Mario Sammarco in the leading roles, under the baton of Leopoldo Mugnone.  Size is 6.8 x 10.25 inches, loose covers, in very good condition.

Score for the aria "A vos jeux, mes amis..." from the opera Hamlet (by Ambroise Thomas), 14 printed pages in total, with music for voice and piano, fully translated from French to Italian by Maria Callas, with some of her annotations, some by a conductor. Larger size, 10.75 x 13.6 inches, will look great if framed open, some repairs on the spine and front cover, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an incomplete score for an aria from "Mignon" (opera by Ambroise Thomas), just the covers, with some of the lyrics in French handwritten by callas on the back of the front cover.
