French tenor (1844-1937) who was most famous for creating the role of Don Jose in Bizet's Carmen (1875). A very nice and original black-and-white photograph of the Birthday 90th of the tenor in April 1934 surrounded by other known singers and personalities; ink-stamped on verso by photographer (illegible). Size is 9 x 6.7 inches, in good condition (see scan provided).

French tenor (1844-1937), then baritone, and later a vocal teacher; most famous for creating the role of Don Jose in Bizet's Carmen. Early-1900s vocal score edition of Bizet's "Carmen" genuinely signed by the French tenor in the 1930s with a short sentiment in French, "In remembrance of my creation of Don Jose". Lhèrie added at the top a fake signature of the composer Georges Bizet and plus a short sentiment. The vocal score was published by Choudens, Paris, no date (circa 1910), 363 pages, size is 7.75 x 10.9 inches, non-original hardcovers, in very good condition. Autographs of Paul Lherie are exceedingly rare to find -this is a fantastic item to collect!

Russian pianist and piano teacher (1874-1944), highly admired in his time. Large size photograph, with a sticker on verso by photographer Vajda Pal, Budapest. Photo is inscribed to a pupil called Edward Gleason, with Lhevinne shown still young, dated in New York in 1934, has a long sentiment.  Size is 10 x 15.1 inches (total mat size where photograph is mounted), actual photo is 7.6 x 11.25 inches, signature and sentiment are entirely written on the photographer´s mat. Some fading, but still very visible, a crease on the bottom left corner, borders are a bit irregular, probably cut from a larger size, in overall very good condition. Rare on this size!
