Two pieces of the original curtain from the old Metropolitan Opera House, built in 1882-83 and demolished in 1967, sold together with a fine photo postcard of the building.  One of the pieces (3.4 x 2.5 inches) was issued in a limited edition with LP records and is numbered, the other, larger piece (1.5 x 9.75 inches) was sold separately, both belong to the curtain of the Met Opera House that was demolished in 1967. 

Program for the gala performance at The Metropolitan Opera to honor the visit of the Prince Henry of Prussia in 1902.  Size is 6.75 x 9.9 inches, 27 pages, full program with all pages and covers, some damage on the spine, in perfect condition on the inside. ALSO INCLUDE is an original souvenir ticket for this performance. Size is 8.5 x 5.5 inches, rust tone at the bottom, in excellent condition.

Program for a performance of this rare opera by von Flotow at the Metropolitan Opera in 1910 with a very important cast including Leo Slezak, Alma Gluck, and Albert Reiss. Size is 9.25 x 11.75 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in excellent condition.

A beautiful collection of over 200 clips of programs (NOT COMPLETE PROGRAMS) of opera performances at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York, during the season 1908-1909. The collection includes about 20 clips of opera performances conducted by Gustav Mahler (Fidelio, Tristan und Isolde, Le Nozze di Figaro, and others), over 60 clips of performances conducted by Arturo Toscanini, and some others starred by Enrico Caruso, among others artists.  Size is 9 x 4 x 2.2 inches, 1 volume, in very good condition.

Beautiful set of 12 unsigned black-and-white photographs stamped on verso with an authentication sticker by the Press Department of the Metropolitan Opera, all by photographer Winnie Klotz.  Size is 8 x 9.9 inches each, all in excellent condition. Group of 14 unsigned photographs, each one signed on verso by photographer Robert Stern, depicting artists in New York, connected to the Metropolitan Opera and/or the NY City Opera in New York. Artists included Ingrid Bjoner, Frances Bible, Camilla Williams, Richard Tucker, Lawrence Winters, Sara Endich, Brian Sullivan and Eva Likova. Each print is 8 x 10 inches except the Tucker photo that is 7 x 9 inches.

Beautiful set of two commemorative key chains; one of them celebrating the Met Centennial (1883-1983) and the other celebrating the 100th season 1983, whose designs are a replica of the tickets for the opening night in 1883 and 1983. In very good condition.

Set of 2 original glass negatives for photographs of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. One is from the period 1905-1910 during the construction of scenery at the stage, the second is a shot taken outside with people waiting, taking during the 1910s. Each one is on glass, 7 x 5 inches, with very minor damage on borders, in excellent condition. Fragile. 

Set of 2 snake playbills for performances at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York, on November 26 and December 17, 1905, as part of the "Sunday Night Concert" featuring Olive Fremstad, Marcella Sembrich, Pol Plancon, Marcel Journet, and others. November's playbill is 4.75 x 18 inches, and December's playbill is 4.75 x 19.75 inches, both in excellent condition. Playbills from this era in the Metropolitan are very rare to find! Silk Program for a Gala performance in honor of HRH Prince Henry of Prussia on February 25th, 1902 at the Metropolitan Opera House.  The program features performances of complete acts of five different operas plus arias with many famous artists on stage including Calvé, Gadsky, Schumann-Heink, Homer, Eames, Scotti, Sembrich, Dippel, Breval, and others.  Size is 11 x 14.5 inches, evident overall rust stains, and in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a handwritten letter in English by an anonymous woman who attended this performance telling a friend about the concert -interesting content from a first-hand witness of this event (sold with transcription).
