Signed photo postcard of the Croatian soprano (1922-2010), shown probably as Floria Tosca in Puccini's Tosca. Size 3.5 x 5.25 inches.

Croatian soprano (1922-2010) and German tenor (1915-1986), group of two signed programs from performances of Tosca presented by the Vienna State Opera in 1953. One program is signed by Martinis only (from a performance with a different tenor), the other by both performers (Martinis' first name is spelled as Karla on both programs). Each of these items consists of 4 6 x 8.25 inch pages, and includes a cover page, cast page and 2 page synopsis (in German, untranslated), signatures are on the cast page. In excellent condition, not sold separately. 

American singer (1927-2009) and actor, who achieved great success as a singer between the early 1950s and mid-1970s, and became a known actor afterwards. Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him. Size is 8.1 x 9.9 inches, some creases, in very good condition.

American composer (1931-2005) and winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Black-and-white photograph signed by him, shown young. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

American actress and soprano (1861-1923) who performed on stage in dramas, musical comedy and opera. Late in her life Martinot would fall victim to mental illness and spend her last few years confined to psychiatric institutions. Fine cabinet photograph signed by her, dated in 1890. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, crease and age toning around edges, in very good condition.

Danish danseur and choreographer (b.1946) who was a principal dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet and with The New York City Ballet, where he joined George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins and John Taras as balletmaster in 1981, retired from dancing in 1983. Signed photo in performance. Inscribed. Stamped on verso by photographer Steven Caras, N.Y. Size 8 x 10 inches.

Autograph note signed by him, written in French (sold untranslated), addressed to music critic Arno Huth.  Size is 4.6 x 6.3 inches, 1 page, in very good condition. Autographs of Bohuslav Martinu are extremely rare!

Martinu writes this short note to Mr. Kovier, saying he is out of town and will send a photo after he is back in NY. Size;1 page, size is 5.75 x 9 inches, minor folds, in excellent condition.

French conductor and composer (1860-1908), associated with both major opera houses in Paris. Later served as the chief Conductor of the Orchestre de la Societe des Concerts du Conservatoire. Signed CDV or carte-de-visite photograph, with his signature on the bottom of the front side, dated in Paris in 1895. An original photo by Nadar, Paris, size is 2.5 x 4 inches, small bullet hole at top, otherwise in excellent condition.

Program for concerts on Jan 11-12, 1953, at Titania-Palast, with the Berlin Philharmonic conducted by Eugen Jochum. Johanna Martzy plays as soloist the Beethoven concerto for violin and orchestra. Full program, 6.75 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.
