Luxurious art nouveau magazine Die Woche (The Week) with an extensive article about the premiere of the Bayreuther Festspiele 1914 (4 pages) with large pictures of the singers, including a marvelous full page picture of Anna Bahr Mildenburg and Walter Kirchhoff in Parsifal. Complete magazine, with art nouveau cover, 40 pages, 8.5 x 11.5 inches, in very good condition.

Italian baritone (1865-1923), born in Egypt, with an important operatic career until 1913, after which he gave recitals, many with soprano Dianette Alvina. Maggi was later a singing teacher, and left a few rare recordings.  Large scrapbook with clips from newspaper and programs, dating from 1892 through 1916 related to his performances, plus 22 loose photos (not attached to the album), some personal but many of them in various opera roles, including one signed by him as Beppe, and one of his wife wife, English soprano Gladys Dode, signed by her on verso. Scrapbook album is 9 x 11.5 inches, with approx. 100 pages with clips from newspapers and programs. Photos in various sizes, from postcard size 6.4 x 9.4 inches the largest. See scans of all 22 photos and some (7) pages of the clip album as example. A rare, fascinating insight into the career of a singer in the late 19th-early 20th century.

American actress (b.1979) and model, whose real name is Margaret Quigley. Fine color promo photograph signed by her, shown in the TV series "Nikita" aired between 2010-2013. Size is 4.9 x 6.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Fantastic, large collection of autograph photos and unsigned photos and clips from magazines, all related to magicians and illusionists, with some mentalists and other entertainers. Mostly Austrian artists, but also a good amount of other nationalities, most likely the original ownership of magician "Valentino", named Otto Fackler (1892-1966), who was member of the Magic Club of Vienna, since there are quite a few autograph photos inscribed to him.  Almost 200 items, in various sizes, all in very good condition, mostly photos and clips, a few playbills/fliers. Some signed, larger format photographs are included. Unsigned photos include some of International Magician Congresses that took place in Vienna 1930s through 1960s, most photographs have markings on verso (probably by original owner) indicating information about the photos. A large variety of signed photographs of magicians, some of the magician autographs are from: Freddy Fah (1916-1988), Valentino Graziadei (1898-1961), Alois Kassner (1887-1970), Phoa Yan Tiong (1926-2006), Gogia Pasha (1910-1976), Anton Stursa (1902-1965), Karl Edler (1877-1945), Peter Pit (1933-1999), Toni Anverdi (1925-1995), Kalanag (born Helmut Schreiber, 1903-1963), Werner Kroll (1918-1990), Tonny van Dommelen, Erich Brenn, Tam Jersey, Retta, Louperti, Rold Hansen, Hans Borose, Richard Suey, Gally, Trilby, Musty and many others. Please check scans of most items, including some of the versos. This is a large lot, sold as a lot only (not sold separately) at a bargain price.

Italian soprano (1880-?), in 1904 she sang in Teatro Vittorio Emanuele, Turin in the world premiere of Franco Alfano’s opera ‘’Risurrezione".  Signed photograph, shown most likely in role, inscribed dated in Milan in 1908. Photo size is 5.75 x 8.75 inches, matted on solid cardboard, total item is 9 x 11.5 inches, some creases at edges of the mat, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian stage and film actress (1908-1973), English film actor producer, director and screenwriter (1882-1974), and Irish actress and singer (1920-2015).  All three of their signatures are on the front cover of a full playbill/program for a 1955 Broadway production of Gian Carlo Menotti's opera The Saint of Bleecker Street (although they did not themselves appear in this production). Full program including all pages and covers, size is 6.5 x 9 inches, in very good condition.

American blues musician (b.1942), whose real name is Henry St. Claire Fredericks Jr., who plays the guitar, piano, banjo, harmonica, and many other instruments. LP record sleeve for his album "Satisfied 'N Tickled Too" signed by him (no record included). Size is 12.25 x 12.25 inches, some evident wear, in very good condition.

Autograph letter signed, 4 pages in 2 sheets, written in German, sold with transliteration, and dated in 1933. Each page is 10.6 x 8.4, folds, in excellent condition.

Program for the world premiere of Mahler´s Symphony 8 ("Symphony of a Thousand"), for 8 soloists, 3 choirs, and orchestra in Munich, September 12th, 1910. Composer Gustav Mahler conducts his own work - Large program, 8.75 x 13 inches, 4 pages, in very good condition (minor folds).

Facsimile edition by the Kaplan Foundation, 1992 - Adagietto from Mahler´s 5th Symphony, copy that was in possession of Alma Mahler.  A total of 1750 copies were issued, in a luxury case, includes a 110 plus-page book with documentation and information about the symphony, and illustrations, and a CD album with a recording of this piece by Gilbert Kaplan conducting the London Symphony Orchestra, plus a facsimile of an article published in the New York Times in July 1992 about this Adagietto. Everything is inside the original box, which has some water stains over the left border (see photo), all items inside are in excellent / like new condition. Box size is 11.2 x 14.2 inches. ALSO INCLUDED is a card, signed by Gilbert Kaplan, with a short note commenting on a cartoon joking about a conductor, and a dinner invitation after a special concert with Mahler´s 2nd symphony, conducted by Mehta.      

Amazing piece of original artwork, great to decorate the wall of a Mahler fan!. This is a larger size, abstract art image of the composer, an intaglio on paper by American printmaker artist Philip von Raabe. Artwork is signed in pencil by artist (lower right corner, see photograph), and is entitled by the artist "Abschied" ("Farewell", in German). Size is 37.25 x 24 inches, jagged edges simulating hand-separated paper, very minor mounting damage on beck, perfect on front, excellent condition.

Autograph note written in German (sold with transcription and translation) with the embossed letterhead of the Vienna State Opera director signed by Mahler, matted with a half-tone photograph of him (probably from a magazine or book). Mahler mentions one of his work, probably his 3rd Symphony, which was premiered in 1896. Total size is 10.75 x 6.6 inches, note is 4.8 x 3.75 inches (visible window size), photo is 2.5 x 3.75 inches (visible window size), all in excellent condition.
