Original vintage print from the Illustrirte Zeitung, in 1891. Mounted on an acid-free mat, sized 14 x 18.5 inches (total), print is 10 x 14.5 inches (visible window size), in excellent condition. Depicted singers are Reichmann, Herzog, Grunign, van Dyck, Scheidemantel, Malten, Winkelmann, Sucher, Alvary, Mailhac and others, photographs by F. Waibler.

Italian composer (1818-1897), violinist, and teacher, whose chamber music has a central place in the Italian instrumental renaissance of the 19th century. Autograph letter in Italian signed by him and dated in Milan, December 14, 1895, addressed to Teatro La Scala about business related to the Carnival and Lent Season 1895-1896. Size is 8.8 x 13 inches, 1 written page, central fold, in overall very good condition.

Italian composer and violinist (1818-1897), whose career focused on chamber music. Lengthy autograph quote signed and inscribed by him in Paris with 9 bars from a piece for violin and piano. Size is 7.3 x 4.7 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a half-tone photograph of him. Size is 3.3 x 4.6 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian violinist and composer (1818-1897). Short 4-bar autograph music quote from an unidentified work signed by him and dated in December 1859. Size is 3.4 x 2.7 inches, folds, creases, in overall good condition.

Full program for a concert in 1872, Ferrara, with famous violinist Antonio Bazzini performing some of his compositions, including the premiere of one of his string quartets with him, a sinfonia-cantata for soloists, choir and large orchestra, and a symphony, all composed by Bazzini.  A total of 8 pages, 8.2 x 11.1 inches, some rust stains and loss of paper on the lower right corner of page 8, otherwise in good condition. See scan of front page with all the music performed. Rare! 

American composer (1867-1944), who was also a pianist and one of the first successful female composers. Her ¨Gaelic¨ symphony premiered in 1896, was the first symphony composed and published by an American woman. Autograph music quote signed, with 6 bars from “Mignonette”, a piano piece from 1922.
