Star British conductor and impresario (1879-1961), well known for his association with the London Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic orchestras. Large photograph signed by him with bold handwriting and signature, shown relatively young. Size is 9.25 x 11 inches, very slight paper loss and small crack on right, as well as some silvering not affecting image and signature, in overall very good condition.

English conductor (1879-1961), best known for his association with the London Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic orchestras. Fine photograph signed by him shown next to concert organizer Otto Eckhardt, dated in Buenos Aires, 1958; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Sling (Buenos Aires). Size is 6.9 x 9.1 inches, minor cracks, creases, in overall very good condition.

Belgian clarinetist and conductor (1798-1850); and Belgian conductor and composer (1801-1873). Autograph letter signed as “Les frères Bender” (presumably handwritten by Jakob), dated in Paris, March 31, 1819, to a newspaper editor, sending: "... the programme of our concert next Friday, I hope you will insert it in your newspaper...". Size is 7.8 x 9.3 inches, 1 written page, in overall very good condition.   ALSO INCLUDED is an autograph note with the concert presentation.

Canadian conductor (1930-2012), pianist, and former conductor of the National Arts Centre Orchestra.  Fantastic black and white photograph signed by him, shown studying a score; stamped on verso by photographer Gold, Calgary, 1991.  Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Star American conductor and composer (1918-1990) and German conductor and opera director Heinz Lambrecht. Double signed photo postcard, showing them (according to the writing on verso) after a performance of West Side Story in March 1970, Volksoper, Berlin, in which Lambrecht conducted, with the composer (Bernstein) present.  Signed twice by Lambrecht (front and verso), 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. Star American composer and conductor (1918-1990), who was the first conductor born and educated in the US to receive worldwide acclaim. Fantastic set with one of his original conducting batons, used by the conductor, and 2 pencils that belonged to him: - Conducting baton made by R. Horowitz, Mr. Bernstein´s baton maker, and timpanist for decades of the Met Opera Orchestra, signed R. Horowitz 7/11/85. Baton is 11 inches long. - One of Leonard Bernstein´s last composing pencils, made by Alpheus Music Writer, North Hollywood, California, 5.5 inches long. Both items were a gift from Aaron Stern, an intimate of Mr Bernstein up to his death, and given to a Bernstein friend and scholar, from who we got this from. We have verified this information. - Red/Blue marking pencil for marking conducting scores, 4.5 inches long, accompanied by the original note signed by composer Jack Gottlieb (1930-2011), who was Leonard Bernstein´s musical assistant during his tenure at the New York Philharmonic. Bernstein used these bi-colored pencils for the librarian to enter markings into the orchestra parts (red color) and for his own interpretations (blue color). Note is 6.25 x 4.3 inches in size. Pencils and autograph note by Gottlieb were given to a Bernstein friend and scholar in July 2003, from whom this entire collection comes from. ALSO INCLUDED is a typed note, signed by the scholar we obtained this from, a scan is not included here for privacy reasons, but the original signed document will be included with this wonderful Bernstein set.

Star American composer and conductor (1918-1990), who was the first conductor born and educated in the US to receive worldwide acclaim. Vocal score for Beethoven's "Misa Solemnis" for choir, soloists, and piano signed by the star American conductor on the first blank page, dated by another hand on January 29, 1969. The vocal score has Bernstein's own rehearsal markings made with a red pencil for the preparation of the work. Size is 6.75 x 10.2 inches, 141 pages, soft covers, handmade plasticized front cover, inside in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a mugshot of the conductor during the rehearsals.

Romanian-born Israeli conductor (1927-2005), best known as one of the most important Israeli musicians and conductors. Beautiful black and white photograph signed by him. Size is 7 x 5 inches, in excellent condition.

Bevignani had a long association with the Royal Opera House in London, and conducted the first performance of Eugene Onegin in Moscow (1881). Autograph music quote signed by him, dated in 1895, with 2 bars and some lyrics from an unknown piece. Size is 7.9 x 4.25 inches, in excellent condition.
