French bass-baritone (1877-1962), starred in the 1905 world premiere performances of Franco Leoni's L'Oracolo. Autograph letter signed, 2 pages (text is on the first and final page of a folded 4 page document), dated in London in 1909, written in French, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 6.5 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

French bass-baritone (1877-1962), particularly associated with the French and Italian repertories which included over 240 roles; also renowned as one of the most memorable singing actors of his time. Autograph letter in Italian (sold untranslated) signed by him with the hotel letterhead, dated in Venice, December 1912.  Size is 4.8 x 7 inches, 2 written pages in 1 sheet, storage holes over the top, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian baritone (1855-1911), autograph letter signed, 2 pages written in Italian, sold untranslated. Clear handwriting and bold signature. Size of each page is 4.25 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian tenor (1810-1883), whose real name was Giovanni Matteo De Candia, considered one of the most celebrated singers of his time, lionized by audiences in Paris and London.  Original autograph letters signed by him. Different sizes and conditions (for more details please check individual descriptions). Italian tenor (1896-1986), autograph letter singed, hand-written at the Hotel Astor, New York in 1938, written in Spanish, sold untranslated. 2 pages of a folded 4 page document, each page is 5.5 x 6.75 inches, small tear in middle of the page and creases at bottom, otherwise in good condition. 1 unsigned 2.75 x 4.25 inch business card, in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

Italian tenor (1896-1986), autograph note singed, hand-written at the Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, written in Spanish, sold untranslated. Also included: unsigned photo, shown in title role of Giordano's Andrea Chenier at La Scala, Milan. Size of note is 5.5 x 7 inches, photo is 8 x 10 (containing small crease and stain at top outside of the image),  in otherwise excellent condition.  

French mezzo-soprano (1820-1867). Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written in French, sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature. Size is 4.25 x 7 inches, small folds, in very good condition. 

Japanese tenor (1891-1974). Beautiful handmade color drawing signed by him and dated in January 1920. Size is 3.4 x 2.6 inches, mounting traces on verso, in overall very good condition.

German soprano (1870-1927), sang Sister Dolcina in world premiere performances of Puccini's Suor Angelica. Autograph note signed at bottom of the page in response to fan request written at top of the page, dated in 1909. Written in English on stationary of the Overlook hotel, Coxsackie on Hudson, New York. Size is 5 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Austro-Hungarian soprano (1881-1963), famous in Europe and the United States for her voice and interpretations in the Italian and German repertory. Set of 2 autograph letters signed, one is 3 pages written at the Hotel Bretton Hall, New York in 1951, 6 x 9.5 inches, the other 1 large page, dated in 1948, 6.5 x 10 inches, both in very good condition, along with 1 autograph note signed, also dated in 1948 at 4.25 x 5 inches in excellent condition, each written in English. Also included: 2 unsigned photo clips of her in role including as Lenore in Beethoven's Fidelio. Not sold separately. 

Belgian mezzo (1875-1953), autograph note signed, written in New York, dated in 1910. 1 page written in French, sold untranslated. Also included: half tone photo, shown in role. Size of autographed note is 5.25 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Irish tenor (1884-1945). Album page signed by him with a short sentiment dated December 17, 1939. Size is 6.75 x 3.8 inches, in very good condition.  The album page also contains two additional unidentified signatures: one over the lower part of the front and the other on the verso (not shown).

American contralto (1899-1970), autograph letter signed, 2 pages of text on a folded 4 page document, embossed, written in English and dated in 1933. Size of each page is 5 x 7.75 inches, several creases and folds, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Star Australian soprano (1861-1931), who became one of the most famous singers of the late Victorian Era and Italian conductor and cellist (1848-1921). Double signed album page, dated in 1900, size is 6.25 x 7.75 inches, in very good condition.

Autograph letter signed, dated in 1880, written in French, sold untranslated. 4 folded pages of text, each is 4 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

French baritone (1843-1925), appeared in the world premiere of several operas including Victor Masse's Paul et Virginie and Saint-Saen's Le Timbre d' argent and made several recordings. Autograph letter signed on embossed stationary, written in Paris in 1898. 2 folded pages, each is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1852 -1907), first known for coloratura roles, but eventually most celebrated in more dramatic repertoire. Autograph note signed, 1 page written in English, dated in New York in 1891. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

French soprano (1827-1895), who was the first Marguerite in the world premiere of Gounod's Faust, and who performed Juliette in the premiere of the same composer's Romeo et Juliette, as well as debuting other important operas. Autograph letter signed, 3 pages on a folded 4-page document written in French, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, with small rust on the last pages and a small tear at the top of the third page affecting a small portion of the written text. Otherwise in good condition.

Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written on both sides of a folded 4 x 5 inch document, written in French, sold untranslated, in excellent condition.

Autograph note signed, 1 page of a 4 page folded document, written in French, sold untranslated, dated in 1887 (signed only as "Caroline Carvalho"). Size of each page is 4.5 x 7 inches, with one fold in the middle, in excellent condition.

Italian bass (1901-1970). Autograph letter signed, addressed to the manager of La Scala, written in Bari, Italy, dated in 1953. 1 page, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 9 x 11.25 inches, with small bullet holes on the left side of the document, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Bulgarian soprano (1889-1936), autograph letter signed, written in Prague, dated in 1926. 2 pages, on a folded 4 page document, sold with an English translation. When folded,each page is 6.5 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

American soprano (1895-1986) who was called the "baby Patti" in her time and who frequently performed with Enrico Caruso. Autographed musical quote from Bellini's La Sonnambula, the opera in which she made her debut in Alessandra, Italy, dated in 1922. Quote is on one folded 4.5 x 7 inch page of a well preserved 4 folded page sheet (unfolded it is 7 x 9 inches) in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED: attractive unsigned photograph, shown in role, photo by Mishkin, New York, 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

American soprano (1891-1986) and protegee of Enrico Caruso. Contract with Teatro La Scala signed by her. Size is 8.3 x 12 inches, 4 pages, minor stains, folds, in overall very good condition.

French tenor and actor (1878-1954), whose career was mostly associated with the French repertoire. Autograph note signed written on the official letterhead of the Theatre National De L'Opera, 1 page, written in French, sold untranslated. Size of page is 5.25 x 8 inches, small creases and folds, otherwise in good condition.

Both written in French, sold untranslated. Small creases and folds on each document, otherwise in very good condition. Also included: an unsigned advertisement clip promoting upcoming engagements in Paris, Monte Carlo, Nice, and Rome, size is 7 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. Not sold separately.

Italian soprano (1889-1936), one of the most famous singers in the early 20th century. Signed album page, dated in 1934. Inscribed in Spanish. Also included: signature of Wilhelm Kempff, great German pianist (1895-1991) on verso. Size is 4.25 x 3.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

Hungarian bass-baritone (1842-1905), signed album page, signed in Budapest, dated in 1885. Bold handwriting and signature. Size is 7 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Swedish mezzo-soprano and voice teacher (1819-1879). Autograph note signed, size is 5.5 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

American soprano (1857-1914), autograph letter signed, written on the stationary of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York, 2 pages written in English. Size of each page is 4.25 x 6.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

American star soprano (1857-1914), one of the greatest in her time, toured extensively through Europe, America, Australia, and Asia where she died while touring. Autograph note signed by her, dated in 1910. Size is 5.75 x 7.75 inches, 1 fold, and a few small rust stains, otherwise in very good condition.

English sisters Sopranos (1821-1904) and (1818-1908). Nice autograph riddle on an album page by Sabilla signed by her, dated in Baden-Baden on September 19, 1890. Size is 6.8 x 9.3 inches, minor stains, otherwise in very good condition. 3.75 x 1.25-inches signature cut of Clara Novello, with some tape rust marks over the borders, in very good condition. German contralto (1892-1969) remembered for her performances of Wagner and Strauss heroines.  Group of 4 autograph letters signed, two are written in English, the other two in German (sold untranslated), ranging from one to three pages in length. Dates are between 1953 and 1958. Sizes range from 5.75 x 7.5 inches to 8.25 x 12 inches, each have small folds, some have creases but are otherwise in good condition. Not sold separately.  

Swedish contralto (1889-1943). One page receipt listing performances with the Nationaltheater, Munich, dated in April 1920 and signed by the artist. Size is 8.25 x 9 inches, small creases, otherwise in very good condition.

Collection of thirteen autographed items by prominent opera singers from the 1920s to the 1950s, including autograph notes signed, signature cuts (two have attached half-tone photos), signed cards, typed letters signed, signed album pages, and one signed program, one item is two-sided with a different artist and signature on each side (there are twelve documents with 13 different signatures). Signatures are from such leading artists as Gina Cigna, Hanny Steffek and Josef von Manowarda, among others.  Sizes range from 3 x 4.75 inches to 6 x 8 inches, and all are in very good condition. Collection of twenty seven autographed items of leading opera singers from the 1930s to the 1950s, most are from the 1930s's and 1940s. This group consists of both signed cards and signed album pages, ranging in size from 1.75 x 4.25 inches to 5 x 6.25 inches.  The opera singers include such prominent artists as Alfred Jerger, Charles Kullmann, Irmgard Seefried, Luise Helletsgruber, Maria Gerhart, Maria Nemeth, Max Lorenz, and Richard Mayr.  Several of these items are from unidentified artists. Most cards contain a signature on only one side, but several have  different signatures on each of the 2 sides. . Most have very clear handwriting and signatures and all are in extremely good, well-preserved condition.
