French violinist (1821-1873). Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated 1857, to a certain Mr. Desolliers: “.. The handwriting of M. [Eugène] Vivier (the horn) is quite unknown to me. I'm sorry because I could have saved you from your embarrassment...". Size is 5.1 x 8 inches, 1 pages, rust stains over the left border, creases and folds, in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED are the envelope, an unsigned program for a concert featuring Le Cieux on the 7th of April 1863 at Salle Herz in Paris, and a typed biography.

Renowned Israeli violist (b.1973), resident of Germany, signed photo, size is 5 x 7 inches, excellent condition.

German violinist (1903-1990), later conductor, famous in the 1930s, emigrated to Argentina in 1937 after being banned by the government. Signed promo photograph, shown with his violin, dated 1937, size is 4 x 5.75 inches

British cellist and conductor (b.1951) and the principle of the Birmingham Conservatoire (b.1951). Signed photo, shown with the cello. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches. 

Hungarian-born violinist virtuoso, composer, and conductor (1898-1960), signed postcard photograph, dated in Vienna in 1932. Stamped on verso by Ottokurt Vogelsang Lichtbildner photographers, Berlin. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Piano and string ensemble, founded in 1977, group photo, signed by all 4 members, including: Peter Rejto (cello), James Bonn (piano), Ronald Copes (viola) and Joseph Genauldi (violin). Size is 10 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

British violinist (1906-1987). Autograph Note in English signed by him on a postcard with his letterhead, dated Aug.  28, 1968, to Ms. Carla Hinrichsen, thanking her for their meeting and waiting “...a letter from you as promised & details of compositions left...”. Size is 5.4 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

French-born Chinese cellist (b.1955), a child prodigy who studied at Julliard School and Harvard University, who has received 18 Grammy Awards and recorded over 90 albums. Signed photo, shown with his instrument. Size is 6 x 8.25 inches.M

Famous French-born American cellist (b.1955). Beautiful black-and-white promo photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

French-born Chinese cellist (b.1955), a child prodigy who studied at Julliard School and Harvard University, and has received 18 Grammy Awards and recorded over 90 albums. Gorgeous larger size color Cibachrome* print signed and dated by the star cellist in 1982, shown in rehearsal in Philadelphia; also signed on verso by photographer Allen Winigrad.  Size is 14 x 9.4 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. *Cibachrome prints are high-quality prints from color transparency enlarged onto reversal color paper. This paper already has the emulsion incorporated and gives exceptional color brilliance.

French violinist (1841-1909) and conductor.  Set of 2 autograph letters signed by him, written in French (sold untranslated).  The first one is a 3-pages letter, dated 1901, size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.  The second one has no year and its size is 4.1 x 5.2 inches, in excellent condition. Italian violinist (1891-1966) and composer. Fine black and white photo postcard signed by him on verso with a short sentiment, addressed to his fellow violinist Kathleen Parlow, dated in 1919. Size is 3.6 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition.

American violinist (1919-2010), one of the pupils of Adolph Busch who developed an important career giving concerts and as a teacher. Signed photograph, dated in 1948, inscribed, 8 x 10 inches. Some smudge over her last name in the signature, otherwise in very excellent condition

Italian cellist, composer and also conductor (1897-1976), was a child virtuoso of the cello, extensively toured through Europe, later formed a famous trio with pianist Edwin Fisher and violinist Georg Kulenkampff. Signed half-tone photo, a page from a program where Mainardi signed under his image, 5.25 x 8.5 inches, dated in 1941, in excellent condition

Latvian cellist (b.1948), who has performed with internationally acclaimed musicians and directors such as Marta Argerich, Daniel Baremboin and Leonard Bernstein, between others. So far, recorded over a hundred times. Signed color photo, shown in rehearsal. Size is 10.75 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Spanish violinist (1883-1971) and composer, having excelled in both.  Printed score of Paganini's Caprice XXIV signed by the Spanish violinist on the first page with a short music quote from his symphonic poem "Nova Catalonia".  Full score with all pages and covers, size is 9.4 x 12.25 inches, repaired banding, in very good condition.

Belgian violinist (1847-1924). Autograph letter signed by him and dated in Paris, 1898, written in French (sold untranslated); 2 pages on the same side of one sheet. Full size is 9.1 x 7 inches, piece of transparent paper tape attached in the center, otherwise in very good condition.

French violinist and composer (1874-1934). Amazing photo postcard signed by him in blue crayon; and also signed by him on the verso. Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.

French violinist (1874-1934) and composer, who obtained Swedish citizenship in 1915.  Beautiful photograph probably trimmed from a larger format, shown young, signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, dated on September 10, 1898.  Size is 4.1 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition.

English violinist (1908-?). Album page attached with a small half-tone photograph of the violinist signed by him, dated in Buxton, U.K., 1950.  On verso there is a short text signed by the British tenor Arthur Servent (1902-1990) with a short sentiment, dated by him in 1951. Size is 7 x 5.8 inches, in excellent condition.

American violinist and conductor (1916-1999), considered one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century. Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him, dated 1990, shown conducting. Size is 9.9 x 7.9 inches, in excellent condition.  

The Metropolitan was founded in 1883 as an alternative to the previously established Academy of Music opera house and debuted the same year and moved into a new location at Lincoln Center in 1966. Gorgeous photograph of a performance circa 1991 conducted by James Levine at Carnegie Hall, and signed by more than 75 artists (NOT SIGNED BY LEVINE). Total size is 20 x 16, actual photo is 13.5 x 10.5 inches (visible window size). This is the only photo we have ever seen that has been signed by more than 75 artists. Very rare!

Russian-born American violinist (1903-1992), one of the finest of the 20th century.  Beautiful black and white photograph of the violinist shown young in performance signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, dated in Bucharest, on November 22nd, 1930, mounted on hard cardboard.  Total size is 7 x 8.5 inches, minor silvering, smudges on the first letter, and a bit on the signature, otherwise in excellent condition.
