Set of 2 typed letter signed in 1918 and 1920 & 4 pages printed brochure, all signed by him.  Letters are 5.9 x 9.25 inches & Brochure is 6.25 x 9.5 inches; some stains in letters and age toning in brochure, otherwise in very good condition.

British impresario and actor (1852-1896), manager of the Royal Italian Opera at Covent Garden. Autograph letter signed and dated in 1892, 1 page, blind stamp with letterhead of the Opera Company. Size is 5.1 x 7.9 inches, age toning on borders, in very good condition.

American opera impresario (1926-1981) and first manager of the Chicago Lyric Opera (CLO). Signed photo, inscribed and typed letter signed and dated in 1961, with letterhead of the CLO. Photo's size is 8 x 10 inches and letter is 8.5 x 11 inches, both in very good condition.

French opera impresario (1825-1897) and director of the Paris Opera Comique. Autograph note signed and dated in 1876 in Paris, in french, sold untranslated, with letterhead of the Opera comique, 1 page. Size is 5 x 8 inches, folds, in very good condition.

French opera manager (1852-1938), head of the Paris Opera Comique by 1898. Autograph letter signed and dated in 1914 in Paris, with letterhead of the Opera Comique, 1 page, in french, sold untranslated. Size is 5.3 x 8.4 inches, in very good condition.

American opera impresario (1859-1927). Typed note signed in 1917, written to an autograph collector, 1 page. Size is 4.3 x 6.9 inches, in excellent condition.

American Opera impresario (1871-1937), director of the Boston Opera Company.  Autograph note signed and dated in 1910, with letterhead of the Boston Opera. Size is 8.5 x 5.4 inches, age toning, in very good condition.

French opera administrator and writer (1745-1819), head of the Paris Opera. Autograph letter signed, in french, 1 page, sold untranslated. Size is 7.4 x 9 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a written envelope, size 4.6 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition.

French Theater Director (1753-1822), head of the Grand Theatre de Lyon. Autograph letter signed and dated in 1812 in Lyon, written to Napoleon's Directeur des Theatres. 2 pages, in French, sold untranslated. Each page is 7.8 x 10 inches, rust stains over the borders, otherwise in very good condition.

Canadian opera manager and tenor (1878-1959), general manager of the Metropolitan Opera (1935-1950). Typed letter signed in 1938 in New York, 1 page with letterhead of the Metropolitan Opera. Size is 8.5 x 10.9 inches, age toning, in very good condition.

German regisseur and manager (1900-1988), who was behind the world premieres of Richard Strauss' operas and other important works. Signed card attached to a half-tone photo. Size is 2.5 x 3.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian-born American conductor (1905-1988) and opera house director, associated with the San Francisco opera in different positions from 1943 through 1981. Set of 2 typed letters signed with letterhead of the San Francisco Opera, each one has 1 page and 8.4 x 11 inches, folds, in very good condition.

German opera director (1875-1942), head of the Bavarian Opera. Autograph note signed in 1929 in Munich, with letterhead of the Bavarian Opera, 1 page. Size is 6.4 x 8.75 inches, storage holes, in excellent condition.

German impresario (1842-1889), best remembered for founding an English Opera Company "The Carl Rosa Opera Company" in 1869. Autograph letter signed with the letterhead of this company, 2 pages. Each page is 5 x 8 inches, minor rust tone over upper and low borders, otherwise in very good condition.

Famous American concert manager (1868-1956), who worked with Björling and Kipnis among others. Typed letter signed about business manager, 1 page with his letterhead, dated in 1920. Size is 8.5 x 7.25 inches, folds, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a typed envelope with his letterhead.

Russian-born American impresario (1888-1974), who managed many performing artists. Signed photo, inscribed, stamped on verso by photographer Boris Goldenberg. Size is 7 x 9 inches, in excellent condition.

German stage manager at the Munich Opera and actor (1841-1921). Signed half-tone photo attached to a cardboard, inscribed and dated in 1902. Signature is on the card. Size is 6.5 x 6.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian opera impresario (1902-1997), well-remembered for his 22 years as the General Manager of the Metropolitan Opera in New York (1950-1972).  Signed photo, inscribed and dated in pencil on verso by another hand in 1966. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Group of 4 programs for concerts in Bologna 1910-1912, with Ferdinand Loewe as conductor, with the Concertverein Orchestra from Monaco. Each one is 5.6 x 9 inches, 1-page each (except one that is 4 pages), all in very good condition. See scans. Sold as a lot only, not sold separately.

Program for the celebration of Giuseppe Verdi´s birth centennial, in Bologna, April 1913. Performance of Verdi´s Requiem, with Celestina Boninsegna as the soprano soloist. Full program with all 8 pages including covers, 5.6 x 9 inches, in very good condition.

Group of 15 programs from 1911 through 1919, for concerts in Bologna and Rome, with important conductors, mostly Italians, including Gino Marinuzzi (5), Bernardino Molinari (4), Rodolfo Ferrari (2), Leon Jehin (who was actually Belgian), Luigi Mancinelli and Guido Carlo Visconti (2). Various sizes, from 5.75 x 9.25 inches for the 1-page programs, to 7.75 x 11 inches for the program with Visconti. All in very good condition with some age toning. Sold as a lot only - not sold separately.

Group of 6 programs for concerts with violinists as soloists, in Bologna between 1912 and 1917 (one is actually from Rome). Soloists include Fritz Kreisler, Albert Spalding, Arrigo Serato, Franz von Vecsey, Mario Corti and Antonietta Chialchia. Each one is 1 page, 5.9 x 9 inches, except the one from Rome, 1919, with Spalding, which is 8 pages, 6.75 x 9.6 inches. All in very good condition.

Chilean poet, diplomat and politician (1904-1973), winner of the 1971 Nobel Prize in Literature. Signed book "Tercera Residencia", inscribed to someone thanking her visit and books, dated in Isla Negra (Chile) in 1964, with a small drawing by him.  Tercera Residencia is a book of poetry, 112 pages, this is the 2nd edition (1951), Editorial Losada, Buenos Aires, soft covers, 6 x 8 inches. Neruda signs it on the first page. Original dust jacket and book are both in excellent condition. See scans of autograph page, front cover and title page.

American impresario, tenor and teacher (1894-1972), founded the Opera Guild of Greater Miami (now Florida Grand Opera) in 1941. Small lot with 3 autograph postcards signed, 2 typed letters signed (with letterhead from the Opera Guild of Greater Miami), one typed note signed with his nickname ("Lee"), and 3 unsigned photos of him (including one as Rodolfo in La Boheme). Various sizes, all in very good condition.
