Star Spanish soprano (1933-2018) and her husband Spanish tenor Bernabe Marti (1928-2022).   Larger size photograph signed by both artists, shown in role in Bellini's Il Pirata, inscribed by Caballe.  Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, very slight paper loss on corners, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian tenor (b. 1935), signed photograph, shown as himself, dated in 1973. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian-born French soprano (1842-1906). Autograph music quote from C.M. von Weber's opera Der Freischutz (Agatha's aria) written and signed by her in Paris, 1879. Size is 10.4 x 6.75 inches, minor stains, otherwise in very good condition.

American contralto (1849-1946). Sepia photograph of her by photographer Hartsook (S.F. Los Angeles) signed and inscribed by Lazzari with a short sentiment. Size is 7 x  9.1 inches, minor water stains over the bottom, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian-born soprano (1876-1955). Black-and-white photo postcard signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment, shown as Ludmila in Smetana's opera The Bartered Bride. Size is 3.4 x 5.3 inches, minor silvering, in very good condition.

English contralto (1873-1930). Fine black-and-white photo postcard signed by her. Size is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, evident crease across, otherwise in very good condition.

Hungarian soprano (1891-1987), particularly celebrated in Mozart roles and one of the leading sopranos in the 1910s and 1920s. Set of 2 photographs (black-and-white and sepia) signed by her, shown as Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos and Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier. Size is 3.4 x 5.6 inches each, both in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a typed letter signed by her, dated in Berlin, 1954, plus a postcard depicting her as Mignon in Thomas' opera (actually signed but completely faded). Size is 3.5 x 5.4 inches. German soprano (1885-1955), who had a very important career in the United States and Europe; debuted at the Met Opera in 1912, focusing on concert recitals after 1919. Sepia photograph signed by her, posing probably as Jenny Lind (for a film); a photo by Underwood & Underwood. Size is 7.5 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition.

A very fine vintage cabinet photograph of Homer as Maddalena in Wagner's opera Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg by photographer Aimé Dupont (New York). Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Legendary Austrian dramatic soprano (1926-1998) celebrated for many decades in the operas of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss as well for major Italian roles. Gorgeous black-and-white photograph signed by her, shown next to Leonard Warren during the production of Verdi's MacBeth at The Metropolitan Opera in 1959; ink-stamped on verso by United Press International Photos (New York). Size is 9.5 x 7.5 inches, in excellent condition.

American mezzo-soprano turned soprano (1867-1950) who had an active international career from the 1890s through the 1910s. Fine black-and-white photograph of her mounted on a photographer mat by Aimé Dupont, signed by Walker. Total size is 6.5 x 9.1 inches, minor stains in all four corners, otherwise in excellent condition.

French composer (1876-1943). A small and interesting collection of autographs by the composer, as follows: A. Autograph note in French (untranslated) signed by him and dated 1913. Size is 4.3 x 6.1 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition. B. Set of 2 regular postcards dated 1924 and 1932 with a message in French signed by the composer. Swiss composer and teacher (1894-1957), author of two operas, many orchestral works, chamber music, and more than 200 songs. Fine vintage cabinet photo of him (taken in 1897, when he was a kid) by photographer Fiorino (Bari). Size is 4.25 x 6.4 inches, ink markings on verso, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a card probably handwritten by his wife.

French composer (1869-1948), a pupil of Massenet; creator of mostly chamber music and comic operas. Fine cabinet photograph signed and inscribed by the composer in 1901. Size is 5.4 x 7.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian composer (1778-1837) and virtuoso pianist. Clip from the last part of a letter written by Hummel with his signature, mentioning his position as kapelmeister, chevallier de la Legion d'honneur, and other titles. Size is 7.9 x 49 inches, folds, minor stains, otherwise in excellent condition.

French composer (1825-1892), singer, and librettist, considered the father of the genre of operetta in Paris. Autograph note in French (untranslated) signed by him in 1876. Size is 4.2 x 5.3 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.

French composer (1847-1903) of Irish descent.  Autograph letter in French (untranslated) on a card signed by her and dated 1891. Size is 5.25 x 3.5 inches, written on both sides of the card, jagged edges, in very good condition.

Swiss composer (1852-1921), creator of five operas, eight symphonies, and other works. Nice cabinet photograph of him by photographer C. Ruf (Basel) signed by the composer with a 3-bar music quote plus a short text. Size is 4.1 x 5.7 inches (trimmed at the bottom), ink markings on verso, minor damage over the upper-left border, otherwise in very good condition.

Black-and-white photo postcard signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment in French. Size is 3.5 x 5.3 inches, some silvering, jagged edges; blind-stamped over the lower-right border by photographer M. Andreossi (Geneve), in excellent condition.

Canadian bass-baritone (1920-1985), one of the leading artists in Italian, German, French, and Russian repertoire in the 1950s and early 1960s. Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, depicted as Vitellio Scarpia in Puccini's opera Tosca; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Sedge LeBlang (New York). Size is 7.8 x 9.8 inches, in excellent condition.

Venezuelan-born French composer (1874-1947), conductor, and music critic; best known for his songs of which he wrote more than one hundred. Set of 2 autograph notes in French (untranslated) signed by him. Italian tenor (1902-1967), signed photograph, shown in role (possibly Ruiz in Verdi's Il Trovatore), dated in 1952. Stamped on verso by photographer Lillian Bader, San Francisco. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small creases and bullet holes on corners and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in good condition. 

British soprano (1909-?) who sang at Carl Rosa opera and Covent Garden as well. Signed photograph,  shown as herself, inscribed and dated in 1938. Size is 6 x 8 inches, in very good condition. 

American soprano (1882-1951), whose full name was Emma Lucy Ann Gates Bowen. Signed vintage photograph, shown as herself, inscribed. Size is 5 x 7 inches, small crease on edges and tear at the bottom of photo not affecting image and signature, discount reflected in price

Italian tenor ((1871-1950), creator of the role of Andrea Chenier in Giordano's opera of the same name. Signed photograph, shown as himself. Blind stamped on front and stamped on verso by photographer Ermini, Milan. Size is 6.25 x 8.5 inches, small jagged line near top and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition. Canadian soprano (1921-2011) and French-Canadian tenor (1916-2006), double signed photograph, shown in roles. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian tenor (1875-?), whose full name was Galileo Ainor Gasparri, sang mostly in Italy but also made successful guest appearances in Sydney and Kiev. His wife was the legendary French soprano Emma Calvé. Signed photograph, shown as Don Jose in Bizet's Carmen, dated in 1923. Stamped on verso by photographer Aime Dupont. Size is 5 x 7 inches, small tear on bottom right, otherwise in very good condition.
