French actress (1821-1858), well known in her time as "Rachel", was a prominent figure in society, reputed to be the mistress of Napoleon III and other important figures. A beautiful collection of letters, documents, lithographs, and memorabilia related to the French actress. This collection includes her original passport with many visas, stamps, and signatures, 6 autographs letters in French signed by her (no translation), 3 autograph notes handwritten by her in the third person but not signed, 3 original lithographs of her from her time, 1 carte-de-visite by photographer Mayern & Pierson, 3 original playbills from her time (Boston, London, Edinburgh), plus one modern print of her (which is the last scanned image). British actor (1874-1968) who performed in both theater and films. Great black and white photograph signed by him, shown in role. Size is 3.5 x 5.3 inches, in excellent condition.

French music hall performer, actress, singer, and dancer (1890-1926) who committed suicide at the Drury Lane Theatre in London. Signed photograph, shown in role, bold handwriting and signature. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

English actress (1883-1967). Wonderful black and white photo postcard signed by her, shown in role. Size is 3.3 x 5.4 inches, minor damage over the lower corners, otherwise in excellent condition.

English actress (1905-1962), considered a versatile Shakespearean actress. Autograph letter in English signed by her, no date, thanking a certain Mr. Wheelhouse for his kind letter. Size is 4.9 x 8 inches, 1 page, central fold, some spotted rust, with letterhead, tape residues over the lower back part of the sheet, otherwise in very good condition.

Hungarian-born American actress and socialité (1917-2016). Program for a performance of Jay Presson Allen's play "Forty Carats" featuring Zsa Zsa Gabor and signed by her on the front cover with a green felt tip pen. Size is 5.8 x 9 inches, 32 pages, in excellent condition.

American circus performer whose real name was Charles Sherwood Stratton (1838-1883), a dwarf who achieved great fame. Set of 2 cards: one signed and inscribed by him; and another by his wife who dated her autograph on November 12, 1915. Thumb's card is 3.3 x 1.7 inches, fading ink but still visible, his wife's is 4.6 x 2.75 inches and with mounting traces on verso. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

French comedy actor (1813-1883). Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated on verso in 1844 (untranslated). Size is 5.25 x 8.3 inches, two written pages in one sheet (front and back), in excellent condition.

American actress (1877-1975), and singer.  Great black and white photo postcard signed by her with a short sentiment, shown in a play. Size is 3.5 x 5.4 inches, silvering on edges, in very good condition.

Set of signed programs and playbills with signatures of leading German and Austrian stage actors and 1 actress mostly from the 1950s. Several are complete programs containing all pages and covers, all written in German and many include photos of the artists. The performers include Erich Auer, Ernst Wurm, Hildegard Knef, Oskar Werner, and Walter Reyer among others. Most are about 5 x 8.5 inches in size. In excellent condition, not sold separately.

English actress (1887-1970). Nicely colorized photo postcard signed by her, dated in 1906, shown in role. Photograph is also handwritten and signed by her on verso (not shown). Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, silvering on board, in very good condition.

Spanish actress (1867-1928), producer and director, all her career was in theater (not in film), in zarzuelas, comedies and adaptations of Spanish classics. Together with her husband, she created the Teatro Cervantes in Buenos Aires (1921). Signed photo postcard, shown in role, size is 3.3 x 5.4 inches, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED are 2 photo postcards of her, signed by her husband, Spanish actor and impresario Fernando Diaz de Mendoza (1862-1930).

Italian actress who also performed in opera (1840-?), signed cabinet photograph, shown in role, inscribed with additional text on verso, dated in Bologna in 1889. Photo by Emblemi and Ballarini photographers. Size is 4 x 8 inches, some cracks at the top and on the edges of the photo and bullet holes on the bottom not affecting image and signature, otherwise in good condition.

French cabaret singer (1865-1944), and actress of the Belle Epoque, who also performed in silent films.  Beautiful photo postcard signed by her.  Size is 3.5 x 5.4 inches, postage marks on verso indicating the year 1912, in very good condition.

American actor (1879-1955), theater manager, and major Broadway star in New York. Fine menu page signed by him, for a dinner in his honor hosted by the Lotos Club on February 10th, 1929, at the Supper Club, New York.  Menu has Hamden's image in various roles printed on the Menu.   Menu's size is 9.4 x 13.75 inches, minor damages on the borders, mounting traces on verso, in overall excellent condition.

American actor (b.1950). American actress (1934-2010). Program for a performance William Inge's play "Picnic" (1953) signed by Gregory Harrison, Rue McClanahan, Michael Learned, Jennifer Jadon, Leigh Dick van Patten, and Dana Hill, during April/May 1986. Size is 8.25 x 10.7 inches, 70 pages, in excellent condition.

Swedish-American stage actress (1883-1974). Fantastic sepia photograph signed by her with a short sentiment, dated in 1915. Size is 7 x 8.6 inches, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.

British actor (1879-1949) and also a music hall performer, playwright, and producer. Nice sepia photo postcard signed by him, dated 1918. Size is 3.3 x 5.2 inches, blind-stamped on the front by photographer Carbonara (Liverpool), minor silvering, in overall excellent condition.

American actor (1858-1935), who performed mostly in musical theater; active between 1878-1935. Original cabinet-style photograph by Morrison, Chicago, signed twice by the actor (on front and verso -where he inscribed with a short sentiment).  Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition

American stage actress (1879-1934), very popular in the 1900s. A beautiful ovalized photograph signed and inscribed by her, dated 1907, mounted on soft cardboard.  Size is 4.5 x 6.5 inches, some signs of wear on the photograph, but otherwise in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a typed letter signed by her husband, dated 1939.

English stage actor (1838-1905) and American violinist (1866-1959), conductor, and educator. Fine menu page for a dinner in honor of Iriving hosted by the Lotos Club on November 16th, 1895, at the Supper Club, New York.  The Menu is signed in pencil or crayon by several personalities, including Irving and Mannes (who signed with a short music quote). Menu's size is 6.9 x 10.25 inches, 1 page, damage over the left border with loss of paper, minor cracks, in overall good condition.

English actor (b.1938) and director with a "forceful commanding stage presence" and has enjoyed a successful and distinguished stage career since 1961. Original poster on soft cardboard promoting the play "Breaking the Code" at Neil Simon Theater, New York, during the Broadway season 19887-1988, signed by the English actor plus other 7 actors of the cast.  Size is 14 x 22 inches, in very good condition.

Czech-born American stage actress (1829-1904). Album page signed by her mounted with a half-tone photograph of her and dated in Baltimore in February 1873. Total size is 7.6 x 4.8 inches, in very good condition.

English music hall entertainer (1872-1938), best remembered for writing the song "It's a Long Way to Tipperary". Nice sepia photo postcard signed by him, shown next to the English music publisher Bert Feldman (1874-1945), and actor Harry Williams, both of them signed as well. Size is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, in excellent condition.

French comic actress (1849-1911). Fine card signed by her and dated in Chicago, 1889. Size is 3.6 x 2 inches, in very good condition.

English actress and manager (1805-1899). Autograph note signed by her, dated July 23th, 1895.  Size is 3.75 x 5.9 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.

English actor and theatre manager (1843-1917), performed from the 1860s until 1908 both in England and toured to the U.S. Signed postcard photograph, shown possibly in role. Photo by Beagles and company, London. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, some ink marks on far edges, otherwise in good condition.

Australian actress (1887-1971), swimmer & aquatic performer. Beautiful black and white photo postcard signed by her, shown in a swimsuit. size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, some fading on image, otherwise in excellent condition.

Russian theater actor (1901-1945). Fine photo postcard signed by him, shown as Karenin in Tolstoi's "Anna Karenina", dated 1931. Size is 3.4 x 5.4 inches, in excellent condition.

English playwright (1916-2002) and screenwriter, mostly known for his crime-related works. Dial M for Murder is probably his most famous plot, and was taken to film by Alfred Hitchcock. Signed program for a performance of this play in theater, at the Nassau Repertory Theater, Nov-Dec, 1964. Signed and inscribed on the first page by Knott, who inscribed his autograph to Craig Dudley, one of the actors in the play.  Autograph is on the first page of the program, which has been separated and mounted on a cardboard mat, next to the front cover. This is not a full program, only the cast page and the front cover. Mat is 12.75 x 11.25 inches, in excellent condition.
