American stage actress and dancer, known for her performances in the original Broadway performances of the Desert Song, Rose-Marie, and George White's Scandals of 1922.  Signed photograph, shown as herself. Printed signature on front of Look photo studio, Chicago. Size is 8 x 10 inches, several creases and bends, small tears on edges and slight paper loss on top borders, image and signature are clear. Rare vintage item!

Autograph letter in French signed by her, no year, to her doctor: “...Si comme je le suppose, le dimanche n’est pas pour nous un jour de fête; vous seriez bien aimable d’augmenter demain le nombre de visite...”.  Size is 4 x 6.5 inches, 1 written page, embossed initials at the top, folds, overall rust tone, otherwise in excellent condition.

French actress (1856-1920). Album page signed by her with a short sentiment in French dated 1912 attached with a small hoto of her. Size is 4.75 x 7.6 inches, loss of paper over the upper-left corner, minor cracks, in very good condition.

German actress (1874-1980), her career was both on stage and film, signed cabinet photo by R. Krziwanek, Vienna, shown young, in role. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Distinguished Italian actress (1822-1906), known for tragic dramas,  who was often referred to as the "Marquise".  Signed vintage CDV, shown in role, signed and inscribed on verso, photo by Disderi, Paris. Size is 2.25 x 4 inches, in very good condition. Also included: 1 autograph letter signed, 3 pages writtten in Italian, sold untranslated, dated in Rome in 1890. Size of each page is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

English comedian (1869-1954), singer, and actor in musical theatre, considered as one of the greatest music hall performers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Nice sepia photo postcard signed by him, shown in role. Size is 3.5 x 5.4 inches, in excellent condition.

Australian-born American-based actress (1858-1942), whose career spanned 58 years, starting in 1883. She is best known today for the dozens of 1930s motion pictures she appeared in. Signed photo, inscribed, with a short sentiment. Size is 3.3 x 5.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Czech actress (1831-1912). Vintage black-and-white photograph signed by her, shown as herself in her elder years, mounted on a larger piece of flexible cardboard. Total size is 4.75 x 7 inches, actual photo is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, some silvering, in excellent condition.

Italian actor (1829-1915), whose most successful role was as Otello in Shakespeare's play. Set of two autograph letters signed by the actor, written in Italian (sold untranslated): one of them is a 3-page letter, dated in Rome, 1890, size is 5.25 x 8.3 inches each page, folds, otherwise in very good condition; the second letter is written on both sides of a card with his letterhead, dated in 1890, size is 4.5 x 3.6 inches, in very good condition, and includes its slightly larger envelope handwritten by the actor as well. French actress (1857-1890) at the Comédie-Francaise and a model for Auguste Renoir. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her, no date. Size is 7 x 4.4 inches, 1 written page, monogram above. in very good condition.  

French theater actress (1848-1941). Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her, dated Sept 29th, 1893, addressed to the French violinist and composer Albert Vizentini (1841-1906): “…Le souvenir que j’ai gardé de mon très court séjour à Gassin n’est m’est que agréable. Cela ne m’empêche pas de m’associer de coeur aux manifestations faites par les français et le très sympathique peuple mais je désir m’en tenir les bien convaincu pour mon très humble concours…”. Size is 9.1 x 7.2 inches, three written pages in one folded sheet, folds, creases, spotted rust stains, in overall very good condition.

German actress (1829-1897), tragic actress, who performed mainly in the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, Schauspielhaus in Berin, associated with her Faust opera she sang over 160 times. Wife of Albert Niemann. Signed cabinet photo, shown as herself. Size is 4.25 x 5.75 inches. Photograph by Franz Koebecke, Dresden, dated in 1889, trimmed on top and bottom.

Italian playwright, writer, critic, and librettist (1875-1952), noted for his close collaboration with Giuseppe Adami on Puccini's Turandot.  Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed, dated in Milan in 1916. Blind stamped by photographer A. Badioli, Milan. This is a 3.5 x 5.5 inch photo mounted onto soft cardboard, total item size is 5 x 7.5 inches, in excellent condition.

British actress (1934-2024), known for her wit in both comedic and dramatic roles and her extensive career on stage and screen between 1952 and 2024. Poster on soft cardboard promoting the comedy play Lettice and Lovage at Barrymore Theatre, New York, no date (probably during the early 1990s), signed by the English actress, plus 12 other signatures of the cast.  Size is 14 x 22 inches, in excellent condition.

American actor (1930-1979). Short typed resume signed by him at the bottom with a small drawing. Size is 8.4 x 11 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a drawing signed by him mounted on a card. Total size is 5 x 7 inches, in very good condition.

French comic actress (1873-1966), who enjoyed great popularity and was known for her extravagant costumes. Signed postcard photograph, shown in role, size is 4 x 5.75 inches in excellent condition. 

German actor (1856-1908). Set of two autograph cards by him and dated in Berlin, May 1892, and May 3, 1892. Stahl writes a quotation from the poem "Zitat zum Thema" by Goethe: “Seh ich die Werke der Meister an,/So seh ich das, was sie gethan,/ Betracht ich meine Siebensachen, Seh ich was ich hätt sollen machen” and signs it at the bottom. In the second document, Stahl cites verses from Goethe as well. Both cards are glued to a piece of paper for a total size of 4.5 x 6.75 inches, overall rust tone, cards in excellent condition.

English comic actor (1830-1906), actor-manager, and theatrical producer; active between 1852 and 1893. Set of two autograph notes signed by him, dated May 10 and September 14, 1893. In the first note, Toole sends an autograph to an enthusiast; in the second letter he states: “I first played “Caleb Plummer” at the Adelphi Theatre London about 27 years ago”. Each note's size is 4.25 x 6.75 inches, one page each, folds, spotted rust stains, in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an original envelope.
