French "baryton-martin" i.e. a singer whose tessitura lies between baritone and tenor (1768-1837), who later taught singing at the "Conservatoire de Musique" of Paris, from 1825 to 1837. Created some 15 roles in operas by various composers including Nicholas Dalayrak, Andre Gretry and Etienne Mehul. 

Autograph letter signed,  1 page written in French, sold with a typed French transcription, this letter is 7.75 x 9.75 inches, small creases and slight tear on the left side, otherwise in good condition.

Also included: notes from an examination given to singing students at the Conservatoire de Musique in 1831. Unfolded exam notes are 10.25 x 14 inches, small creases, otherwise in excellent condition. Attractive handwriting and signature. Not sold separately.

Returns & Exchanges

Unsatisfactory items may be returned within 14 days of receipt for your choice of a store credit or a full refund. In order to qualify for a refund, items must first be returned in the exact same condition they were shipped. By default we ship via USPS, and provide the option to ship via FedEx or UPS. Shipping and handling costs are not refundable for any items that were already shipped, either returned or not. At our discretion, a restocking and relisting fee of up to USD 40 could be applied for some returned items, although this is very rarely applied.
