American bass (b. 1942) and American soprano (b. 1948), double signed photograph, shown as Don Giovanni and Zerlina, respectively, in Mozart's Don Giovanni. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

American mezzo-soprano (b. 1953), signed photograph, shown as herself. Size is 4.25 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

English bass (b. 1961), signed photograph, shown as himself. Stamped on verso by photographer Schaffler, Salzburg. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

French baritone (b. 1956?), signed photograph, shown most likely in role. Size is 3.75 x 5.5 inches, very slight paper loss at top right, otherwise in excellent condition.

American mezzo-soprano (b. 1924) particularly associated with the Metropolitan Opera, signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed. Photo by James Kriegsmann, New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

French tenor (1815-1879), who performed in the world premieres of Le Prophete (opera by Meyerbeer) and La Damnation de Faust (by Berlioz). Set of 2 autograph letters signed, both with embossed letterhead, one is 3 pages, the other is 2 pages and undated. Both are written in French and sold untranslated. Each has a page size of 5.25 x 8 inches and several bullet holes on the left side of the page as well as very slight rust outside of the text area, otherwise in very good condition. Not sold separately. 

French bass-baritone (1821-1900), and also a creator of songs, and a regular performer at the famous Theatre Italien in Paris. Set of 2 autograph letters signed, first of them is 1 page, size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, some paper loss at bottom left and several bullet holes, otherwise in good condition. The second letter is 3 pages, 5.25 x 8.25 inches which also contains several bullet holes and tears but is otherwise in good condition. Both written in French and sold untranslated. Not sold separately. 

French bass (1836-1871), created the role of Capulet in the world premiere production of Gounod's Romeo et Juliette. Autograph letter signed, 4 pages, dated in Paris in 1866, written in French and sold untranslated. Clear and bold handwriting and signature. Each page is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, folds and several bullet holes, in otherwise very good condition. 

French baritone (1810-1971), appeared in the world premiere productions of Donizetti's La Favorite, Roberto Deveraux, L'Assedio di Calais, and Dom Sebastien, as well as several operas by Fromental Halevy, Giuseppe Lillo, Adolphe Adam, and Louis Niedermeyer.  Autograph letter signed, 3 pages of a folded 4 page document, written in French and sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, small creases, folds, and several bullet holes, otherwise in very good condition.  

 French baritone (1828-1886), set of 2 autograph letters signed, physically attached to each other as part of a folded set of 8 pages, the first is 1 page long and dated in 1858, the other 2 pages, both written in French and sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, small creases and folds, as well as several bullet holes on the front and back pages, otherwise in good condition. 

French soprano/mezzo-soprano (1847-1926), autograph letter signed, 1 page, written in French and sold untranslated. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, some creases, tears, and bullet holes on left edges not affecting the text and signature, otherwise in very good condition.

Twin brothers, born the same day, died in the same year (1832-1896), both recognized as highly talented singers and actors, presented highly popular concerts in the 1860s (Anatole was also a composer).  This set includes a 1 page autograph note signed by Anatole, 4 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition,  and 2 autograph letters signed by Hyppolyte, each of which is 2 pages long, one of them dated in 1862, the other does not give the year, both are 5.25 x 8.25 inches  with small creases and folds on each, and small bullet holes on the undated document, otherwise in very good condition. All three items are written in French and sold untranslated. Not sold separately. 

Italian superstar tenor (1890-1957), one of the greatest tenors of all time, often regarded as "the second Caruso". Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, written in Italian on the letterhead of the Hotel Gloria, Rio de Janeiro in 1947, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5.5 x 8 inches, small creases on edges and small stain on bottom of the first page, otherwise in very good condition. 

American contralto (1908-1997) and pioneer in music therapy. Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Bruno de Hollywood, New York.  Size is 8.1 x 9.9 inches, in excellent condition.

American baritone (b. 1955) and Welsh bass-baritone (b. 1965), double signed photograph, shown as Don Giovanni and Leporello in Mozart's Don Giovanni. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

Austrian mezzo-soprano (b. 1954), daughter of conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Violinist Alice Harnoncourt.  Signed photograph, shown as herself. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Lithuanian soprano (b.1961) and Spanish baritone (b.1966), double signed photograph, shown in roles in Donizetti's La Favorite, at the Vienna Staatsoper in 2003. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Georgian soprano (b. 1963), signed photograph, shown in role at the Teatro San Carlo, Naples. Stamped on verso by photographer Enzo Conte, Naples. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition. 

Georgian soprano (b. 1963), signed photograph, shown as Elvira in Verdi's Ernani. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

New Zealand-born Australian-raised operatic Soprano Frances Alda (1879-1952), 1.75 x 5 inch signature cut, written in French, mounted onto a 6.5 x 8.25 inch album page. Also included on that page: a 2.5 x 6 inch signature cut of the American Film actress Madge Kennedy (1891-1987). Slight wear on the larger album page but otherwise in excellent condition. 

Famous Italian singing teacher (1811 or 1813-1892), taught many famous opera singers including Emma Albani, Desiree Artot, and Teresa Stolz.  Autograph musical quote signed on a 3.75 x 4.5 page mounted onto a larger album page of 4 x 8.25 inches. Some wear on the larger page but musical quote page is in excellent condition. 

French soprano Anna De La Grange (1824-1905), who was the first Traviata in the US. Signed album page mounted onto a larger album page containing her signature, written in French and sold untranslated. Also included: an additional signature of Euphrosyne Parepa-Rosa, a Scottish soprano (1836-1874), who enjoyed an outstanding international career, and was the cofounder of the Parepa-Rosa Opera company. Her signature and text are in English and she signed as "E. Parepa-Rosa".   Total size of the larger album page containing both of these mounted signed pages is 6.5 x 8.25 inches , some wear and paper loss at far edges of the larger page, but each of the attached pages are in excellent condition.

Widely celebrated American contralto Marian Anderson (1897-1993), the first black person, American or otherwise, to perform at the at the Metropolitan Opera and an inspiration to many future African American performers. Signed album page with 1 bar of music from J.S. Bach, dated in 1937.  Also included: verso page contains 4 signatures and accompanying musical quotes by all 4 members of the Aguilar Quartet, a famous Spanish Lute quartet that performed on tour in the 1920s and 30s, dated in 1938. Size is 5.75 x 7.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian baritone (1841-1900), was the first performer of many standard-repertory baritone roles in the United States, sang Valentin in Gounod's Faust in the inaugural performance of the Metropolitan Opera in 1883.  Signed card with 3 bars of music dedicated to the celebrated French Violinist Camilla Urso, dated in 1891 .  Bold and very clear handwriting and signature. Size is 3.5 x 4.5 inches, in excellent condition. Historic vintage item!

American soprano and film actress ‬(1882-1967),‭ ‬who was a superstar in her time. Signed album page, signed by her in 1932 underneath a quote of the subtitle of her autobiography.  Also included: an additional signature on this page is that of the French born child actor in silent films and later advertising agency executive and film and television director Philippe De Lacy (1917-1995), whose film career began with a visit to the set of Farrar's film The Riddle: Woman in  1921. His inscription with sentiment appears to be addressed to Farrar. Size is 6.5 x 8.25 inches, some wear on edges, otherwise in very good condition. 

Star Italian tenor (1794-1854), one of the greatest of the Bel Canto era, who performed in many world premieres of operas by Bellini and Donizetti including the former's I Puritani. One page receipt of a payment, dated in 1833 and signed by the artist. Signed with last name only with bold handwriting and signature (his writing is only the signature, rest of the text is pre-written). Written in French and sold untranslated. Size is 4.25 x 6.75 inches, small fold on left edge, otherwise in very good condition. Rare vintage item!  

Italian baritone (1800-1876), starred in the world premiere productions of 21 operas including Bellini's I Puritani and Il Pirata, and Donizetti's Don Pasquale and Marin Faliero.  One page receipt, dated in 1833 and signed by the artist. Clear and bold handwriting and signature. Size is 4.5 x 6.75 inches, small bullet hole on left edge, otherwise in very good condition. Rare vintage item!  

Italian soprano (1878-1960), sang the title role in the world premiere production of Riccardo Zandonai's Francesca da Rimini in 1914.  Autograph letter signed, dated in Rome in 1906, written on all 4 pages of a folded 4.5 x 6.75 inch document, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Clear handwriting and signature. Small crease on final page, otherwise in excellent condition.

Russian tenor of Ukrainian origin (1810-1880), who sang in the opera houses of Italy, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, whose pseudonym in Italian was "Nicola Ivanoff". Autograph note signed on a 3 x 5 inch album page, bold handwriting and signature, in excellent condition. 

Romanian soprano (1910-1949), considered one of the biggest stars in Europe during the '30s and '40s, particularly in Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, and Strauss operas.  Autograph letter signed, 1 page written on embossed page, dated in 1941. Written in German, sold untranslated. Bold and clear handwriting and signature. Size is 7.5 x 9.75 inches, in very good condition. 

French mezzo-soprano (1786-1850), whose real name was Marie-Julie Halligner and who performed her entire career under the stage name Mme. Boulanger. Appeared in the world premiere productions of the operas Le Maitre de Chapelle, L'Ambrassadrice, Le Domino Noir, and La Fille du Regiment.  Was also the grandmother of the famous French composer, conductor, organist and influential teacher, Nadia (Juliette) Boulanger.  Signed receipt payment on a 4.5 x 7 inch album page, written in French, sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature. Some creases on edges, otherwise in very good condition. 

Belgian soprano, initially a mezzo-soprano (1835-1907), autograph letter signed, dated in Berlin in 1865. 4 folded pages, written in French, sold untranslated (signed as "Desiree"). Size of each page is 3.5 x 5.75 inches, small crease on first page, otherwise in very good condition.

Norwegian soprano (1895-1962), one of the greatest Wagnerian dramatic singers of the 20th century.  Autograph note signed, written in English, on three sides of a folded 4 page 3.75 x 5 inch document, dated in 1947. Very clear handwriting and signature. Written on her official stationary with her printed name on the top left. Very slight rust at top of the first and last pages, otherwise in excellent condition.
