Italian baritone (1928-2015), signed photograph, shown as Ashton in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor at the Metropolitan Opera, New York, inscribed and dated in 1960. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small creases on edges, otherwise in good condition.   

Italian soprano (1946-2013), signed photograph, shown as Adina in Donizetti's L'Elisir d' Amore, inscribed. Size is 5 x 7.75 inches, in excellent condition.  

British musicologist (b. 1939), known for his opera parodies. Signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed. Stamped on verso by photographer. Size is 7 x 9.25 inches, some creases on edges of the of photo, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian bass-baritone (?-1958), signed photograph, shown as Dr. Dulcamara in Donizetti's Elisir D'Amore, inscribed. Printed signature on front of photographer Daguerre, Chicago. Size is 6.75 x 9 inches, slight silvering on front and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

Superstar Australian soprano (1926-2010) and Australian conductor (b.1930) to whom she was married, double signed photograph, shown as themselves, inscribed. Size is 8 x 10 inches, very small crease on bottom left corner, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian tenor (1922-2016), signed photograph, shown as Nemorino in Donizetti's L'Elisir D'Amore, inscribed and dated in 1960. Blind stamped on front and stamped on verso by photographer Mark Hagmann, Philadelphia. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

French-American coloratura soprano (1898-1976), a Metropolitan Opera star for nearly 30 years. Typed signed contract with that company, dated in 1956, eight pages, with both Pons and Metropolitan Opera General Manager Rudolf Bing's handwritten signatures at the bottom of the front page (see scan). Size is 8.5 x 13.5 inches, small stain at top of the front page and small crease on the back page, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian superstar tenor (1935-2007) and Star New Zealander soprano (b.1944).  Double signed photograph, shown in concert with Italian baritone Leo Nucci, dated in 1993. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

One sheet with two separate signed photographs of two leading mid to late twentieth century Italian opera singers, both appearing in Francesco Cilea's Adriana Lecouvreur.  On the front side we see star Italian tenor Franco Corelli (1921-2003) as Maurizio with Italian soprano Magda Olivero (1910-2014) in the title role appearing at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples in 1959, the signature on this page is only that of Corelli and the photograph is by the Troncone photo studio. While there is additional handwriting at the top of the page referring to Clara Petrella, it does in fact appear that the soprano shown here is actually Olivero. The verso side of this sheet contains a separate signed photograph of Olivero alone, shown again as Adriana Lecouvreur, this time from a performance given in Florence in 1966, the photo is by the photographer Marchiori. Signatures on each of these photos are at the bottom of the page and do not affect the image. Size of this item is 8.5 x 11 inches, very small crease on bottom of the page, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Spanish tenor, signed photograph, shown as Paolo in Zandonai's Francesca Da Rimini at Teatro Regio, Turin, inscribed in Turin, dated in 1974. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

American soprano (1907-1971), signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed. Stamped on verso by photographer George Maillard Kesslere. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

Japanese tenor, signed card, written in Japanese and sold untranslated. There is a beautiful wintertime image taped to the front of the card, with his handwriting inside the folded card. Size of each page is 5.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian baritone (1900-1954), signed postcard photograph, shown as himself, signed in Vienna, dated in 1948. Size 3.5 x 5.5 inches, slight paper loss on top left and small crease on bottom right corner, otherwise in very good condition.  

Italian soprano (b. 1946), signed photograph, shown as Amelia in Verdi's Ballo in Maschera. Size is 4.25 x 7 inches, very slight paper loss on top and bottom left corners, otherwise in very good condition.

German tenor (1915-2007), signed photograph, shown as himself. Stamped on verso by Fayer photo studio, Vienna. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (b. 1941), signed photograph, shown as Marcello in Puccini's La Boheme. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

German tenor (1914-1974) and German soprano (1912-1991), both among the leading Wagnerian stars of the post-World War II era.  Double signed photograph, shown in the title roles of Richard Wagner's Tristan und Isolde at the Stuttgart opera. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in very good condition. 

Legendary German tenor (1930-1966), tragically died quite young, especially celebrated in Mozart roles as well as lieder and oratorio repertoire. Signed publicity photograph for the Electrola record label (with a list of his recordings for that label on the verso), shown as himself. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, beautiful photo in excellent condition. 

French soprano (1878-1952), signed vintage postcard photograph, shown in role, dated in 1909. Size is 3.25 x 4.5 inches, with slight rust on edges and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in good condition.   

French soprano (b.1964), signed photograph, shown as herself. Size is 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.  

English contralto (1821-1885), and also singing teacher and composer. Autograph letter by her (no date) about two engagements, signed by her on its verso.  Size is 4.3 x 7.1 inches, 1 sheet written on both sides, folds, in very good condition.

British bass (1857-1935) and opera company manager. Fine photo postcard signed by him, shown young. Size is 3.4 x 5.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Australian soprano (1861-1931), who became one of the most famous singers of the late Victorian era and the early 20th century. Menu for a lunch in her honor in 1924 at The Ambassadors Cafe, on June 30th, 1924, Australia, signed by her. Size is 4.8 x 6.9 inches, 1 piece of cardboard, central fold, in very good condition.

Famous German soprano (1874-1935) termed by Mahler as "a musical genius", later in her life became a well-known pedagogue as well. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed and dated in 1921. Blind stamped on front and stamped on verso by photographer Setzer, Vienna. Photo size is 6.5 x 8.75 inches, mounted onto soft cardboard, total item size is 8.5 x 12 inches, some silvering at bottom, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian dramatic soprano, active in the 1880s and 1890s who starred in the role of Nefta/Suor Clotilde in the world premiere performances of Alberto Franchetti's Asrael in 1888. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed. Blind stamped by Ganzini and Gabrieli photographers, Milan. This is a 4.75 x 7.25 inch photo mounted onto a cabinet, total size is 5.25 x 8.5 inches, small tear on the bottom left of the cabinet (not affecting the handwriting and signature which is on the photo itself), otherwise in excellent condition. 

Italian mezzo-soprano (1869-?), signed photograph, shown as Ortrud in Wagner's Lohengrin, dated in Turin in 1901. This is a 6.25 x 8.5 inch photo, mounted onto a cabinet, total item is 6.75 x 9.75 inches, Photo is by G.B. Ganzini, Milan. There is a crack running along the top section of the photo although the signature and all other writing is still clear and visible, priced accordingly.  

Belgian soprano (1875-1968), who sang in the world premiere of Le Chemineau by Xavier Deroux.  Signed photograph, shown in role in Beethoven's Fidelio, inscribed in Paris, dated in 1906. This is a 3.5 x 6.5 photo mounted onto soft cardboard (signature and inscription is directly on the photo), total item is 4 x 8.25 inches, small tear on the bottom right of the cardboard, otherwise in excellent condition.

Swedish soprano (1881-1971), also known as Rodolfa (Wilhelmine Schenstrom) Lhombino.  Signed 4 x 6 inch photograph mounted onto a soft cardboard mat, shown as herself. Signature is at the bottom of the mat and is written as  Wilhelmine Holbe-Schenstrom. Total item size is 6.75 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition. Also included: unsigned copy of the front page score of a poem dedicated to her by her parents. Size is 8.25 x 11.5 inches, in excellent condition. Not sold separately.

Bold and clear handwriting and signature. 7 x 9.5 inch photo mounted onto a photographer mat (writing is on the bottom of the mat), total item size is 8.75 x 13 inches, some wear on the far edges of the cardboard, photo itself is in excellent condition.

American soprano (1879-1962), signed photgraph, shown in role in Wagner's Gotterdammerung, dated in 1922. Inscribed. Bold handwriting and signature. Printed signature on front of photographer Mishkin, New York. Size is 6 x 8 inches, slight paper loss on edges, otherwise in excellent condition.

French soprano (1858-1942), starred in the world premieres of Mascagni's L'Amico Fritz, as well as Massenet's La Navarraise and Sapho. Signed half-tone postcard photograph, shown in role in Isidore de Lara's Messaline. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian soprano (1881-1961), signed photograph, shown in role in Catalani's La Wally, inscribed and dated in 1918. Also contains printed signature of photographer Talman on front. Size is 8 x 10.75 inches, small bends and stain on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian baritone (1872-1930), active at La Scala, the Royal Opera, Covent Garden and other leading theatres in the early twentieth century, from 1919-1930 was active member of the administrative apparatus at La Scala.   Signed cabinet style photograph, shown as himself, dated in 1909. The photo itself is 3 x 3.75 inches mounted onto a cabinet, total item size is 5.75 x 6.75 inches, signature on the photo, date is directly below. Small stain near the bottom right, otherwise in excellent condition. Attractive vintage item!

Dutch soprano (1893-1952), whose real name was Johanna Maria Goverdina (Jo) IJzerman. Signed photograph, shown as Octavian in Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier, inscribed in London, dated in 1939. Stamped on verso by photographer J.W. Debenham, Willesden. Size is 6 x 8 inches, mounting traces on verso and some silvering at the top, otherwise in very good condition. 

Belgian tenor, signed photograph, shown in role (possibly Des Grieux in Massenet's Manon), dated in 1939. Stamped on verso by photographer Zanoli, Liege. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in very good condition.

Italian soprano (1871-1959) whose real name was Maria Clotilde Gigli. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed. This is a 6.5 x 10.25 inch photo mounted on soft cardboard, total item size is 8.25 x 13 inches. Small creases on edges of the cardboard not affecting the photo or signatures itself, which are in excellent condition.
