English soprano (1885-1969), signed photograph, shown as herself, dated in 1928. This is a 5.5 x 7.75 inch photo mounted onto soft cardboard, signature is directly underneath the photo near the bottom of the cardboard.  Stamped on cardboard verso by photographer Tuttenberg, Manchester. Total item size is 9 x 13.5 inches, small bends and some silvering near the top of the photo, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Bulgarian soprano (1900-?), signed photograph, shown either as herself or possibly in role, inscribed in Venice in 1933. Photographer signature stamped on verso and printed on the front. Size is 9.25 x 11.75 inches, some bending and paper loss on the edges of this cardboard photo, otherwise in good condition.

Italian soprano (1912-1983), signed photograph, shown in the title role of Puccini's Madama Butterfly dated in 1943. Contains printed signature of Foto Reale photographers, Rome. Size is 8.5 x 12 inches, some silvering at the top and bottom, otherwise in very good condition.

Austrian soprano (1894-1976), Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed, dated in Munich in 1942. Bold handwriting and signature. The photo size is 6.5 x 9 inches and is mounted onto a larger cardboard folder of 9.5 x 13.5 inches put together by the photographer A. Sahm, Munich (whose printed signature is on the front side of the photo, Kruyswyck's signature and inscription is on the third page of this four page folder directly underneath the photo). Vintage item in excellent condition. 

Italian soprano and actress (1914-1968), signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed in Milan, dated in 1934. This is a 6.25 x 8.75 inch photo mounted on soft cardboard with the signature and inscription on the bottom of the cardboard, not directly on the photo. Total item size is 9.5 x 13.5 inches, some cuts at the far edges of the cardboard, otherwise in excellent condition .

German soprano (1915-2006), one of the most renowned opera singers of the 20th century. Signed photograph, shown as herself, extensively inscribed, and dated in 1969. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small creases on corners, otherwise in excellent condition.

American bass (1876-1942), who sang at the Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Opera, as well as in Rome and other leading houses. Signed vintage photograph, shown as himself, dated in 1917. Bold handwriting and signature. Photo by C. Mishkin, New York (his printed signature is on the front). Size is 6 x 8 inches, very small bullet holes, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian bass-baritone (b. 1941) and American tenor ((b. 1949), double signed photograph, shown in roles in Offenbach's Les Contes D'Hoffmann at the Zurich Opera. Photograph by Peter Schlegel, Zurich Opera. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Celebrated American soprano (1914-1990), active at the Metropolitan Opera and other leading theatres in a wide range of lyric soprano repertoire. Signed postcard photograph, shown as Elsa in Wagner's Lohengrin at the Bayreuth Festival. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

American soprano and later stage director (b. 1954), signed photograph, shown as herself. Photo by Allan Lokos. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

American baritone (b. 1936), signed publicity photograph, shown as himself, inscribed. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small bending on corners, otherwise in very good condition.

American soprano (1967(?)-2018) and noted voice teacher, signed photograph, shown in title role of Puccini's Turandot at the Vienna State Opera in 1999. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

American tenor (1925-2006), (whose real name was Arthur Kagan), signed postcard photograph, shown as himself. Size is 3.5 x 4.5 inches, in very good condition.

Italian soprano and second wife of composer Giuseppe Verdi (1815-1897), her single name was Giuseppina Strepponi. A successful soprano in her time, she is mostly remembered today for her years with Giuseppe Verdi. Great autograph note signed by her, in Italian, untranslated but honoring famous librettist and writer Felipe Romani and Genoa, Italy. No year mentioned but signed as Strepponi, which means this was when she was not with Verdi, probably at a young age. Strepponi sang in Genoa in 1842, which is probably when this note was created. One page in light blue paper, Size is 7.1 x 9 inches, minor stains, folds, in very good condition.

American mezzo-soprano (b. 1940), sister of famed pop singer Carly Simon, had an operatic career for over two decades. Signed postcard photograph, shown in role, inscribed at the Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, dated in 1972. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

American coloratura soprano (1936-2014), signed photograph, shown in role. Stamped on verso by photographer Anne Kirchbach, Munich. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, small crease on bottom left, otherwise in excellent condition.

American bass (b. 1942), Austrian soprano (b. 1966), and American mezzo-soprano (b.1945), triple signed photograph, shown as themselves. Photo by Schaffler, Salzburg. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

German-born American soprano (1872-1957), signed postcard photograph, shown in role, inscribed and dated in New York in 1911. Bold handwriting and signature. Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, some silvering near the top, otherwise in excellent condition.

French baritone (1860-1933), who performed in the world premiere of Sigurd (opera by Reger). Signed postcard photograph, shown as himself. Photo by Coquelin. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

American bass (b. 1942) and Brazilian soprano (b. 1951), double signed photograph, shown in roles in Verdi's Jerusalem. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Double signed album page of German soprano and mezzo-soprano Anna Hildach (1852-1935)  and her husband, German composer and baritone Eugen Hildach (1849-1924), creator of many songs. This page is signed in 1898 with bold handwriting and signatures, size is 5 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.   

German Wagnerian soprano (1872-1932). Autograph note signed, written in English on the stationary of the Hotel St. Regis in New York.  Attractive bold signature. Size is 5 x 6.5 inches, fold in the middle, otherwise in very good condition. 

Lot of 4 items including 2 autograph letters signed of the American tenor Roland Hayes (1887-1977), one is a 2 page letter, dated in 1943, size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, neatly folded and in very good condition. The other letter is 1 page, written in Brookline, Massachusetts, dated in 1967, with clearer handwriting and signature, size is 7.25 x 10.5 inches, also in very good condition.  Also included: a 5 x 6 inch unsigned photo of him in old age, clear image in excellent condition, and an unsigned publicity photo playbill and biography of his daughter, soprano Afrika Hayes, including excerpts from reviews of her concert recitals (including a joint recital with her father), this item is 7.25 x 11 inches, in very good condition. Not sold separately, only as a lot. 

French soprano (1814-1880) whose full name was Cecile Eugenie Mayer Garcia, a leading performer at the Opera Comique in Paris and prominent voice teacher, and who was also the wife of the famous Spanish baritone Manuel Garcia Jr. Autograph letter signed, 3 pages on a folded 4 page document, embossed, written in French and sold untranslated. Signed as "E. Garcia". Clear and bold handwriting and signature. Each page is 5.25 x 8 inches, small folds but otherwise in excellent condition.  

German soprano (1911-1986), autograph letter signed, dated in 1961, 2 pages, embossed, written on both sides of a 4 x 8.25 inch card. Written in German and sold untranslated. Small creases on the bottom left, otherwise in very good condition. 

American soprano (1887-1984). Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment, dated in 1923, shown in role (probably as Santuzza or Carmen).  Size is 7.9 x 9.9 inches, small crease over the lower-left corner, small cracks on margins, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.

Scottish soprano (1874-1967) with a substantial career in France and America in the first third of the 20th century. Her personal card signed by her with a greeting, dated 1924, mounted on soft black cardboard.  Size is 3.3 x 2.4 inches, in very good condition.

French tenor (1861-1933) whose real name was Raymond Gourron and debuted in 1886 at the Opera of Ghent as Faust in Gounod's opera. Beautiful photo postcard signed by him, shown as Samson in Saint-Saëns' "Samson et Dalila", dated in 1908; unidentified blind stamp over the lower-right corner.  Size is 3.4 x 5.5 inches, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.

Spanish tenor (1869-1919) who moved to Argentina in 1889 and served as the director at the California Temple of Arts in Los Angeles, USA. Fine photo postcard signed by him, dated in 1907, shown in role.  Size is 3.1 x 5.2 inches (trimmed from a larger size), mounting traces on verso, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a personal card with his signature printed on one side and handwritten by him on verso, dated in Los Angeles, 1907.

French bass (1868-1933), who starred in the world premiere performances of Arrigo Boito's Nerone. Autograph note to a fan signed by him, dated in New York, 1906.  Size is 4.8 x 6.25 inches, central fold, in very good condition.

Super star Italian soprano (1843-1919), one of the greatest singers of the 19th century.   Autograph letter signed, dated in Swansea Valley, South Wales in 1895, attractively embossed with the "APN" insignia on the top left. Text is in English on a folded 4-page document, each page is 4.5 x 7.75 inches. There are sharp jagged edges along the left side of the document not affecting the text as well as some folds, otherwise in excellent condition. Attractive historical item!. 

Italian mezzo-soprano (1903-1968), appeared as Mère Jeanne in the world premiere performances  of Poulenc's ‘’Les Dialogues des Carmélites’’ at La Scala, Milan in 1957, and also appeared in the 1952 premiere of I. Pizzetti’s ‘’Cagliostro.  Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, dated in Milan in 1956, written in Italian, sold untranslated. Written to the well-known opera collector Leo Riemens. Size is 8.5 x 11 inches, some rips and tears on various edges of the document, but otherwise in good condition. 

French soprano (1896-1979), signed postcard (not a photograph of her), with text and signature on the verso of the card.  Written in French, and sold with a typed one page English language transcription. Size of the card is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, the transcription (unfolded) is 8.5 x 11 inches, both are  in excellent condition.

Italian star tenor (1890-1957), widely regarded as one of the greatest tenors of his generation. Signed and typed 1 page English-language contract with the music publishers B. Feldman and Co. in London, dated in April 1952, discussing royalty terms for an upcoming published "Beniamino Gigli album", containing Gigli's printed and hand-written signatures at the bottom, as well as those of company representatives above his. Size is 8.25 x 10.25 inches, slight creases and folds, otherwise in excellent condition.  

Norwegian soprano (1845-1935), wife of the famous composer Eduard Grieg. Signed card, dated in 1909. Size is 3.6 x 8.5 inches, slight rust but in generally very good condition.

French contralto (1882-1915), 2 pages with an embossed letterhead, written in French and sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature. Size of each page is 4.5 x 6 inches, in excellent condition. 

German mezzo-soprano (1883-1961), autograph letter signed, dated in Leipzig in 1920, 2 pages, written in German and sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature. Size of each page is 7 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Collection of thirteen autographed items by prominent opera singers from the 1920s to the 1950s, including autograph notes signed, signature cuts (two have attached half-tone photos), signed cards, typed letters signed, signed album pages, and one signed program, one item is two-sided with a different artist and signature on each side (there are twelve documents with 13 different signatures). Signatures are from such leading artists as Gina Cigna, Hanny Steffek and Josef von Manowarda, among others.  Sizes range from 3 x 4.75 inches to 6 x 8 inches, and all are in very good condition. Ukrainian-born bass (1891-1978).  Autograph musical quote signed containing a few bars of Gounod's Faust on a 5 x 6.5 album page. Bold handwriting and signature, in excellent condition. 

French soprano and comic actress (1849-1911) whose real name was Anne Marie-Louise Damiens. Starred in the world premiere productions of Offenbach's Le Roi Carotte,  Madame l'archiduc, La Creole, and Bagatelle.  Autograph note signed, with a text quote, dated in 1891. Size is 5.25 x 8.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian-German mezzo-soprano (1839-1899), born as Amalie Marie Schneeweiss, celebrated both in the opera and concert repertoire, frequently performing with both Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms, and wife of the famous violinist Joseph Joachim. Pair of 2 autograph letters signed, both 2 pages in length, one written in German, 5.5 x 8.75 inches, the other in French, dated in Paris in 1879 on a 5 x 8 inch document, both sold untranslated. In excellent condition, not sold separately. 

American tenor (1880-1925), sang in the world premiere performances of Gustav Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde in Munich in 1911, with Bruno Walter conducting.  Signed postcard (not a photo of him), inscribed and dated in 1913. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, very small crease on bottom right, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Collection of nine autographed items by prominent opera singers from the 1950s to the early 1970s, mostly signature cuts with attached half-tone photos, both in role and as themselves, several items are two-sided with different artists and signatures on each side (there are six documents with 9 different signatures). Signatures are from such leading artists as Birgit Nilsson, Eleanor Steber (two of her), George London, Leonie Rysanek, and Lucia Popp, among others.  Most items are 3.5 x 4.5 inches, and are in good condition. Collection of eight autographed items by prominent opera singers from the early to mid-twentieth century including signed cards, signed album pages, signature cuts, along with one unsigned photo postcard. Signatures are from such leading artists as Antonio Scotti, Bidu Sayo, Emma Eames, Louise Homer, Marcella Sembrich and Marian Anderson, among others, the unsinged photo postcard is also of Emma Eames, shown in role. Autograph item sizes range from 2 x 3 inches to 4.5 x 7.5 inches, the postcard is 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Most have very clear handwriting and signatures and all are in extremely good, well-preserved condition.
