American baritone (1904-1954), created the role of Ignatius of Loyola in Virgil Thomson's opera Four Saints in Three Acts and most famously in 1935, Jake the fisherman in the original world premiere production of George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed, and dated in 1942. Size is 8 x 10 inches, several small creases and bends, otherwise in very good condition. 

Italian baritone (1871-1924), creator of the role of Vittelio Scarpia during the world premiere of Puccini's opera "Tosca" in 1900. Fine black-and-white photo postcard signed and inscribed by him, dated in Montevideo, 1903. Size is 3.4 x 5.3 inches, in very good condition. Rare!

Margery Myers Booth (1906-1952) was a British mezzo-soprano who emigrated to Germany during WWII and became a spy. Arrested by the Gestapo in 1944 and tortured, she was later released by the liberating army. Not being recognized for what she did after her return to London, Myers Booth emigrated to New York where she died of breast cancer in 1952, at age 46.
