Italian baritone (1878-1942) who enjoyed an international reputation and sang for 13 years at the Metropolitan Opera. A beautiful original sepia photograph of the baritone by photographer Mishkin (New York) mounted on hard cardboard signed and inscribed by Amato with a short sentiment. Size is 5.9 x 7.8 inches, in very good condition.

Star Czech soprano (1878-1930) who developed a very important career on both sides of the ocean. Beautiful sepia photograph signed and inscribed with a short sentiment in German, shown probably as Norma. Size is 5.75 x 7.75 inches, silvering around borders, in overall very good condition.

Star Irish tenor (1884-1945), world-famous for his recordings and performances of opera as well as popular songs.  Beautiful sepia photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 5.8 x 7.5 inches, minor cracks, in overall very good condition.

Spanish tenor (1897-1938), famous for his interpretations of such roles as Radames in Aida and Don Jose in Carmen. He created the role of Calaf at Puccini's post-mortem premiered last opera Turandot. German soprano (1888-1976) noted for her successful performances of the heroines of Strauss, Wagner, Beethoven, and Mozart. Nice set of 2 tiles hand-painted by her, one of them also signed by her and dated 1950. Size is 6 x 6 inches each, in excellent condition.

American bass-baritone (1888-1960). An original sepia photograph of the artist by photographer Mishkin (New York) signed and inscribed by Ruysdael with a short quote from Wagner's Die Walkure, dated in New York in 1917, shown in Die Walkure. Size is 6 x 7.8 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1903-1994) and actress. Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment in German dated 1928. Size is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1869-?). An original sepia vintage cabinet photograph of the soprano by A. Bini (Milan) signed and inscribed by Cavaliere with a long sentiment in Italian in Milan, in 1900. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, pinhole over the upper-right corner, some damage over borders, some taping marks, in overall good condition.

American star soprano (1857-1914), one of the greatest in her time, toured extensively through Europe, America, Australia, and Asia where she died while touring.  An original and beautiful sepia cabinet photograph of the soprano by Aimé Dupont (New York) signed by Nordica, shown as Brunhilde in Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, previous ownership ink-stamped on verso, in overall excellent condition.

Swedish contralto (1896-1970). Fine black-and-white photo postcard signed by her mounted on hard cardboard, shown in Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier. Total size is 3.75 x 6.25 inches, in very good condition.

American tenor (1898-?). Nice sepia photograph signed by him dated January 1927, shown as himself, blind-stamped on the front by Studio B. Henri, Paris. Size is 4.25 x 6.6 inches, some creases, jagged edges, in overall very good condition.

Italian tenor (1882-1917). Nice sepia photograph mounted on soft paper signed by him, dated 1916. Size is 5.1 x 6.3 inches, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a short autograph note with the letterhead of the Hotel in Boston signed by him and written in English, dated 1916, thanking a fan.

Scottish baritone (1886-1962). Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, shown as himself. Size is 7.9 x 10 inches, small loss of paper over the top-right corner, in overall very good condition.

Norwegian bass (1896-1940), who had an active international career and was especially known for Mozart and Wagnerian roles. Sepia photograph signed by him, dated 1931. Size is 8.3 x 10.6 inches, small loss of paper over the lower-right corner, mounting damage on verso, otherwise in very good condition.  

Greek soprano (1908-1984). Fine sepia photo postcard signed by her, shown as Lola in Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana". Size is 3.3 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Swedish tenor (1887-1967). Beautiful sepia photo postcard signed by him, dated in Berlin, 1926, shown as Herman in Tchaikovsky's "Pique Dame". Size is 3.4 x 5.3 inches, in excellent condition.

German dramatic soprano (1880-1975). Fine sepia photo postcard signed and inscribed by her, shown as Brunhilde in Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen".  Size is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, in excellent condition.

American soprano (1889-?), very active with the San Carlo Opera Company during the first half of the 20th century. Black-and-white photo postcard signed by her with a short sentiment, shown in role; blind-stamped on the front by photographer Claude Harris. Size is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, in very good condition.

American coloratura soprano (1886-1963) who sang at the Metropolitan Opera from 1914 to 1921. Nice black-and-white photograph signed by her, shown as herself; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Cronhart & Monios (Baltimore). Size is 7.8 x 9.8 inches, minor damage over borders, in overall very good condition.

American baritone (1884-1966) and actor. Beautiful black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him to New York record collector Larry Holdridge; ink-stamped on verso by photographer G. Maillard (Kesslere, New York).  Size is 7.8 x 9.8 inches, crease over the top, otherwise in very good condition.  

Italian tenor (1913-1995); and Brazilian soprano (1902-1999). Gorgeous black-and-white studio photograph signed by both artists, shown as Rodolfo and Mimí in Puccini's opera "La Bohème". Size is 8 x 9.9 inches, in excellent condition.

German composer (1864-1949) and conductor, best known for his tone poems and operas; considered a successor of Wagner and Liszt. Beautiful half-tone photograph (probably from a program or magazine) of the Berlin premiere in 1911 of Richard Strauss' opera "Der Rosenkavalier" signed by the composer himself and other eight artists, mounted on soft cardboard. Size is 10.75 x 6.7 inches, some wrinkles, cracks, and rust stain at the center, all signatures are clearly visible, and in overall fair condition. Austrian soprano (1841-1908); and Moravian composer (1821-1897), conductor, and impresario. An album page signed by both artists: Maretzek dated her signature in Baltimore, on April 2, 1873; while Lucca did not date her signature. There is a third signature (unidentified) dated in Baltimore in 1873 as well. Size is 4.75 x 7.6 inches, in excellent condition.
