Lot of 1 autograph note signed, 4 x 5.75 inches with attractive photo of his "Villa del Monaco" on verso, along with 1 unsigned photo inside a card, taken in 1982, 4.5 x 6.5 inches, as well as 1 signed 2.5 x 4 inch half-tone photo attached to a 8.5 x 11 inch album page, taken from a 1958 issue of Opera News, shown as himself relaxing with his family members at their pool, signed in 1972.  In excellent condition, sold only as a lot.

Fantastic clip from a cast page from a program for a performance of Verdi's Otello at the Chicago Lyric Opera on October 11, 1957, featuring Mario Del Monaco (Otello), Renata Tebaldi (Desdemona), and Tito Gobbi (Iago), and signed by them. Size is 8.2 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian baritone (1841-1900), was the first performer of many standard-repertory baritone roles in the United States, sang Valentin in Gounod's Faust in the inaugural performance of the Metropolitan Opera in 1883.  Signed card with 3 bars of music dedicated to the celebrated French Violinist Camilla Urso, dated in 1891 .  Bold and very clear handwriting and signature. Size is 3.5 x 4.5 inches, in excellent condition. Historic vintage item!

Celebrated Italian baritone (1841-1900) who sang widely in Europe and throughout the United States, particularly at New York's Metropolitan Opera where among many other performances he participated in the company's opening night in 1883 performing the role of Valentin in Gounod's Faust.  Signed card contained a signature clip, dated in New York in 1890, total item size is 3.75 x 6.5 inches, bold and clear handwriting and signature. The album page has a short 3-bar autograph music quote on verso from an unknown piece by the Italian composer Lino Liviabella (1902-1964).

English composer (1876-1968), violinist, pianist, and singer. Autograph letter in English signed by her, dated 1936. Size is 5.25 x 7 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet, central fold, in excellent condition.

Italian pianist and composer (1861-1920), a pupil in Naples of Beniamino Cesi and Paolo Serrao.Set of 3 autograph letters in Italian (untranslated) signed by the Italian pianist and composer, two of them dated in 1889, one in 1918, requesting music publisher Giudici & Strada some printed compositions and three manuscripts pieces for piano; requesting the acceptance of the economic offer for his three pieces for piano op. 20; and the last, addressed to a certain Mr. Scotti, concerning some copies of the magazine “Nuova Musica”.  Different sizes and lengths (8 written pages in total), in overall very good condition (see scans provided). Autograph document by wich the French composer provides information on his activity and music works for an article to be written about him. The composer mentions his works ‘Rigaudon’, ‘Clef des Songes’, ‘Bourrée’, ’L’éventail de Jeanne’, ‘Poirier de Misère’, ‘Quatre Regrets de Joachim du Bellay’. Among the notes, draft corrections and rewritings Delannoy inscribes a few musical bars. American composer of Italian descent (1887-1948), one of the best-known representatives of the Indianism movement in music. Autograph letter signed by him addressed to the Lyrics writer Juanita Roos, about his sacred music drama "The Prodigal Son", dated in Akron, Ohio, 1937.  Size is 6 x 8.1 inches, 2 pages in one sheet, central fold, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him to Juanita Roos, dated 1930, where the composer added a 2-bar music quote over the upper-right corner from his work "The Prodigal Son". Size is 7.9 x 9.9 inches, blind-stamped over the lower-right corner by photographer Goddard  (Akron, Ohio).  some loss of paper over the lower-right corner, in overall very good condition.

French composer (1836-1891), famous for his operas. First edition, 106 pages, published by Mme. Cendrier, Paris, 1858.  Monsieur Griffard was Delibes´ first complete opera comique, and was world-premiered in 1857 with French tenor Ernest Leroy in the title role. A fine copy, signed by the composer and inscribed to the creator of the title role “To Monsieur Griffard, with a thousand thanks to the friend Leroy, Leo Delibes, 1858”. Contemporary quarter morocco covers original front wrapper bound in - First edition, extremely rare.

French composer (1836-1891) of ballets, operas and other stage works - Most notable are the opera Lakmé (1883) and the ballets Coppelia (1870) and Sylvia (1876). Autograph note signed by him, in French (sold untranslated), matted with a nice vintage photo postcard. Sizes are 12.5 x 9.25 inches (total mat size), 4 x 5.25 inches (autograph note, visible window size) and 3.5 x 4.75 inches (photo postcard, visible window size). Acid-free, quality mat, minor traces of tape on top of the letter, not affecting the writing, otherwise in excellent conditions.

Autograph letter in French (sold with translation), with the letterhead of the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie, signed by him, no date indicated but pencil markings indicate 1882. Interesting content, related to the premiere in Brussels of his opera Jean de Nivelle. Size is 5.4 x 8.3 inches, 4 written pages in 1 sheet, rust stains over the borders, in very fine condition.

Fabulous larger-size autograph music quote from his opera "Lakmé" signed by him and inscribed to the American-born soprano Fides Devries-Adler (1852-1919) with a short sentiment, dated in 1888 (five years after its world premiere). Maestro Delibes wrote 9 bars for voice and piano from the third act of his opera, including lyrics. Size is 9.5 x 13 inches, minor cracks repaired on verso, in overall very good condition. This is the most fantastic music quote of Delibes we have seen in a very long time!
