To a gentleman: “…je chanterai donc à votre concert 1° Philippe d’Artevelde. Aug. Gevaert. La partition et parties d’orchestre je ne puis vous les envoyer, j’en ai besoin encore. Je chante cette scène aujourd’hui à Bâle et le 4e à Zurich et le 5e à Winterthur, l’accompagnement est des plus facile…”.  B. “Brussels, October 12, 1890. German opera conductor and composer (1871-1958), he was in charge of the (later) Berlin State Opera and other opera houses in Europe. Business card printed with his name, from the Staatsoper in Berlin (which he conducted from 1947 to 1953). This card is handwritten and signed by him on verso (see scan). Also included is a postcard photo of him, signed on the front with a short text ("in remembrance from"), handwritten by Blech on verso - all regarding personal matters

Set of 2 programs, Berlin 1917 and 1920, with Leo Blech as conductor. Jan 31st, 1917 is a program for a concert with music by Schubert, Reznicek, Fuchs, Smetana and Beethoven. Jan 9th, 1920 is a program with music by Beethoven, Brahms and Reznicek. Each program is complete with all pages and covers, 5.5 x 8.6 inches, in very good condition.

Massak (Prague), blind-stamped on the front indicating the year 1906. size is 4 x 6.3 inches, some silvering, in very good condition.

American baritone (1897-1943), Bledsoe was the first African-American artist to succeed in Broadway, getting regularly hired. Signed photo, 7.5 x 9.5 inches, dated in 1930, stamped on verso by photographer AD Charles, Chicago, inscribed, in very good condition.

Program for a performance of the Italian-born British violinist with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by the composer Arthur Bliss at The Royal Festival Hall, London, on June 13th, 1954, signed by the violinist, the composer and conductor, and the tuba player Philip Catelinet on the back of the front cover. But I am in the country (where your note reached me), finishing my new opera. I fear it will be impossible for me to do anything else for several months...». Blitzstein was probably working on an opera titled Reuben, Reuben (1955).  Size is 8.4 x 10.8 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.
