Famous Italian soprano (1855-1941), with a very important career that spanned only 20+ years. Autograph album handwritten by her with her artistic memories, starting with her debut in 1873, until her last performance in 1893. A total of 75 pages, in which she meticulously notes all her theatrical experiences, indicating for each the name of the work, the theater, other performers, the conductor of the orchestra, and the response. Some numbers likely refer to the payments received. A historical document of importance, that describes a singer´s career, written by her own hand - a quite unique piece. Album is 9 x 6 inches, covers show some wear, in overall very good condition. See scans.

Signed photograph, shown in role (probably as Amonasro in Aida) at Covent Garden, inscribed and dated in 1933. Photo is stamped on verso by photographer C. Gerardi, Verona.  Size is 3.75 x 6.25 inches, in excellent condition. Rare!

This is a 4.5 x 6.75 inch photo mounted on soft cardboard with a total item size of 7.5 x 10 inches, there is some handwriting on the photo but the signature is on the cardboard beneath the photo. Star Spanish soprano (1887-1960), her voice had a unique timbre and transparent quality, unlike any present-day singer. Autograph letter signed by her and dated on April 1936. Size is 5.25 x 6.75 inches, two written pages, central fold, in excellent condition.

Spanish soprano (1887-1960), autograph note signed, written in Milan, dated in 1912. Written in Italian, sold untranslated. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Star Spanish soprano (1887-1960), one of the favorite singers of the Metropolitan Opera House. Group of 19 unsigned photos, shown both in role and as herself. Several stamped on verso by photographer. Sizes range from 6 x 7.5 to 8 x 10 inches, most are either 7 x 9 or 8 x 10. In excellent condition, sold only as lot. 

Program for a recital of the celebrated Spanish soprano at the Westchester County Center, New York, on April 26th, 1935, signed by her on the front cover. Size is 6.75 x 9.5 inches, full program with all pages and covers, mounting damage (back cover partially missing), otherwise in very good condition.

Spanish soprano (1887-1960), typed letter signed, on the letterhead of the Grand Hotel et Des Iles Borromees in Streasa, dated in 1954. 1 page, written in English, size is 6 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

Program for a performance of Thomas' Mignon at the San Francisco Opera on December 7th, 1934, signed by the star Spanish soprano and the Polish actor.  Size is 6 x 9 inches, full program with all pages and covers, minor rust stains, in very good condition.

French stage actress.  Beautiful black and white photo postcard signed by her, shown during a curtain call.  Size is 3.6 x 5.5 inches, minor damage over the upper-right corner, in very good condition.

German soprano (1921-2018), celebrated in the dramatic repertoire, particularly Wagner and Strauss, and for her intense acting skills. Autograph letter signed, dated in 1960, 2 pages, written in German, sold untranslated. Bold handwriting and signature, the letter extensively discusses the role of Richard Strauss's Elektra, possibly her most celebrated role. (At the top of the page is the heading "Inge Borkh-Welitsch", reflecting her marriage to the bass-baritone Alexander Welitsch but the signature is as "Inge Borkh"). Size is 8.25 x 11.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

German soprano (1921-2018), celebrated in the dramatic repertoire, particularly Wagner and Strauss, and her intense acting skills. Group of 5 autograph letters signed, each is 2 pages, written in German and sold untranslated. Two of these letters are on her official stationary and have page sizes of 8.25 x 11.75 inches, there is an additional letter of that size dated in 1953, while the remaining two are each 5.75 x 8.25 inches and written on the stationary of the ParkHotel, Frankfurt. Several small creases and folds but are otherwise in good condition. Also included: a postcard of the Basilica di San Paolo in Rome with her inscribed text and signature on verso. Not sold separately, only as a lot.      

German soprano (1921-2018) and German Bass (1908-1989), both known for specializing in  Strauss, and Wagner roles. Double signed postcard photograph, shown in roles in Werner Egk's opera Irische Legende, an opera which they both performed in the opera's world premiere production at the Salzburg festival in 1955. Blind stamped on front by photographer Ellinger, Salzburg. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.
