Italian soprano (1830-1859), sang throughout Europe, Russia and North America, particularly popular in St. Petersburg where she suddenly died at age 28. Autograph letter signed, dated in 1858, 4 pages, written in Italian, sold untranslated. First page of the document contains a small oval portrait of her, possibly in role, and is also attractively embossed. Size of each page is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, attractive vintage item in excellent condition. Rare!

Large lot of over 90 unsigned programs for concerts with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, including a few with choral societies, all at the Symphony Hall in Boston, between 1924 and 1931. Most programs are conducted by Serge Koussevitzky. Mostly orchestral music, with some works for soloists (names listed in programs) for voice (Matzenauer, Frijsh, Crooks, Cahier, etc) and for instruments (harp, organ, viola, clarinet, cello, violin and piano). Programs also include some world premiere of works by composers such as Fairchild, Sessions, Gilbert, Roussel, Dukelski, Steinert and Lazar. Also included are quite a few Boston premieres of works and a few premieres in America as well. Most programs are missing the covers, were originally bound together and show residues of binding material in the spine, in various conditions, but all overall good, with no rust or stains. Each one is 5.75 x 8.25 inches in size.

3 full programs Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts, season 1891-92 and 92-93 for concerts with pianists Fanny Bloomfield-Zeisler, Carl Stasny, H. H. A. Beach, with Arthur Nikisch conducting, plus one 4th program for a vocal and symphonic recital, Arthur Nikisch conducting. All 4 are full programs, with all pages and covers, excellent condition.

3 full programs Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts, season 1891-92 and 92-93 for concerts with violinists Otto Roth and C. M. Loeffler, Arthur Nikisch conducts, one of the 3 is a program for a vocal and symphonic recital with a full page announcement for a concert by French violinist Henri Marteau, Arthur Nikisch conducting. All 3 are full programs, with all pages and covers, excellent condition.
