Indian-born American soprano (1901-1980), signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed with bold handwriting and signature. Printed signature on front and stamped on verso by photographer G. Maillard Kesslere, New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, several creases, otherwise in very good condition.

Belgian tenor, sang the role of Goro at the premiere of Puccini's Madama Butterfly at the Théâtre Royal Français (Antwerp) in November 1910. Signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed with sentiment, dated in Turin in 1926. Chilean-born French soprano (1841-1923), sang Frasquita in the world premiere performances of Bizet's Carmen, Mab in the world premiere of the same composer's La Jolie Fille de Perth, and  Léna in the 1872 premiere of Saint-Saen's La Princesse Jaune.  Signed cabinet photo, shown most likely in role. American baritone and actor (1903-1998), a very successful career as a concert singer with over 2,000 performances in 56 countries. Signed photograph shown as Porgy in George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, a role he created in 1935, for a Broadway production. Duncan was Gershwin's personal choice for this role and ended up performing it over 1800 times. Size is 7 x 9 inches, with some slight stains at edges, otherwise excellent condition. Prussian soprano (1885-1967). Beautiful photograph signed and inscribed by him, shown as herself; a photograph by Siri-Fischer-Schneevoigt. Size is 7.5 x 11.5 inches, small crack at the top-right corner and small creases on edges, otherwise in very good condition. Attractive vintage item!

Italian bass, American tenor (b.1951), and French mezzo-soprano (b.1952), photograph signed by all three artists, shown in role in Rossini's Semiramide. Stamped on verso by photographer Georges Farret, Marseille. Size is 7 x 9.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Photograph of many leading opera performers associated with the Sadler's Wells theatre in the mid-twentieth century containing many of their signatures on verso.  The prominent artists with signatures include English conductor and record producer Lawrence A. Collingwood, as well as soprano Joan Cross, mezzo-soprano Edith Coates, and tenor Powell Lloyd. Size is 6.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. Rare!
