American composer (1885-1981), pianist, actress, and singer, whose real name was Gussie Zuckermann. Album page with an autograph music quote signed and inscribed by her, dated in Miami, 1940. Size is 6.75 x 4.8 inches, in excellent condition.

Swiss composer (1902-1995).  Autograph note signed on a card, written in French (sold untranslated) by the composer, and dated in Geneve, 1978.  It has a short music quote over the left border with 6 bars of music from his ballade for violin and orchestra.  Size is 5.75 x 4.1 inches, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a handwritten envelope (not shown).

Italian composer and conductor (1882-1945), associated with music of Wagner and Italy. Autograph music quote signed on postcard of music from both Acts 2 and 3 of Wagner's Parsifal, signed in Buenos Aires, possibly in 1913. Size is 43.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Printed score of his work "The Song of America, a Historical Pageant for Mixed Voices with Orchestra or Piano", signed and inscribed by him on the cover, with a short sentiment. Ninety-six pages, sized 6.75 x 10.5 inches, in very good condition.

Italian composer (1813-1877), and music teacher. Autograph letter with the letterhead of Regio Conservatorio di Musica (Milano) signed by him, written in Italian (sold untranslated), no date,  Size is 5.4 x 8.25 inches, 1 page, folds, in excellent condition.

American composer (1911-2007), and instrumentalist. 4-bar autograph music quote from his "Overture on Whimsical Tunes" signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 6.1 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

French composer (1820-1882), pupil of Pierre Zimmermann and Charles-Valentin Alkan. Autograph note in French signed by him, no date indicated, addressed to a certain Monsieur Désarbres requesting extra beds or a new room in a hotel. Size is 4.9 x 7.2 inches, 1 page, translation not included, in excellent condition.

Belgian composer (1784-1851) and horn player, Director of music at the Paris Opera between 1867 and 1870. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated June 17, 1842, addressed to the Belgian composer Joseph Daussoigne-Méhul (1790-1875), concerning a music work: “…pour le coup je ne sais ce que ton silence signifie, si ce que nous t’avons envoyé n’est pas bien, tu devrais nous le dire. J’ai vu ici cahou, il attend lui même ce qu’il doit graver; ses presses, ses ouvriers, tout cela attend, il ne sait a quoi attribuer tout ce grand retard…”. Size is 7 x 9.1 inches, 1 written page, folds, creases, with letter head of "Conservatoire de Musique de Gand", missing piece of paper over the left margin, in overall good condition.

Austrian composer (1851-1928), director of the Fursttheater and Kapellmeister of the Volksoper in Vienna, Mestrozzi created singing plays, waltzes, marches, and choirs. Rare collection of 10 autograph documents, one is signed, with lyrics, in German. A few are more than one page, various sizes and condition, some poor, some very good. See scans.

Hungarian composer (1842-1929) and music educator. Autograph music quote with 2 bars from an unknown piece on a foldable card.  Total size is 4.3 x 5.8 inches, central fold, in excellent condition.

Hungarian cellist (1917-1993), composer, and teacher. Card signed by him with 2 bars of music from his opera "Together & Alone". Size is 5 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

American composer (b.1946).  Signed printed score for his mini opera "The Face on the Barroom Floor", published in 1979, signed and inscribed by the composer on the title page.  Size is 8.9 x 11.9 inches, full score with 56 pages plus soft covers, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a program for a performance of this mini opera in California, 1982, also signed and inscribed by the composer on the front cover.  Size is 8.5 x 11 inches, 6 pages (including covers), in excellent condition.

Italian composer and pianist (1895-1967). Autograph music quote on a card signed and inscribed with a short sentiment in Italian dated in Salzburg during the Mozartfest 1922. Size is 5.5 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1902-1993) and also teacher, pupil of Pizzetti.  Autograph music quote with 4 bars of music from his work "La Figlia del Diavolo", signed and inscribed by him, dated in Venice, 1957.  Size is 8.25 x 5.8 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.

Norwegian composer (1915-1988).  Autograph music quote on a card, with 3 bars from his String Quartet No.2, signed by him.  Size is 5.8 x 3.6 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a small half-tone photograph of the composer, size is 5.8 x 7 inches, in very good condition.

English composer (1830-1903), autograph letter signed, with official embossed letterhead as Chair of Music of the University of Edinburgh. 2 pages, written in London, dated in 1872. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, some mounting traces on inside pages not affecting the text or signature. Otherwise in excellent condition.

American composer (1874-1962), pianist, and teacher; creator of numerous orchestral works.  Autograph music quote with 2 bars from his 2nd symphony, signed by him.  Size is 6.25 x 3.25 inches, in excellent condition.

English composer (1883-1950), known for his song cycles.  Autograph music quote on a small pink album page, signed by him with 4 bars of one of his songs, dated in 1939.  Size is 5.6 x 3.4 inches, cut corners, in excellent condition.

French composer (1844-1926) whose career focused mostly in opera.  Signed card mounted on hard cardboard, with 2 bars of music from an unknown piece, dated in Paris, 1906.  Size is 4 x 2.25 inches, in excellent condition.

American composer (1910-1988), educator, and music scholar. Autograph music quote with three bars from his work "Excursions" signed by him on an envelope on April 5, 1970.   Size is 6.5 x 3.75 inches, in excellent condition.

English singer (1810-1879), who was also actor, pianist, artist and comediant. Signed album page, dated by him in 1853. Size is 4.8 x 7 inches, in very good condition.

Czech composer (1919-2007), creator of concertos and chamber music. Autograph quote on a card with 3 bars of music (probably from one of his works) signed and dated by him in Prague, 1967. Size is 5 x 3 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1878-1964), who retired at eighty-five, five years before his death.  Autograph bifold letter signed by him, written in Italian (sold untranslated), dated in Marostica, Italy, 1922.  Size is 5.5 x 7.6 inches, 1 page, central fold, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1878-1964), his career focused mostly on operas, starting in 1908 and until 1936 when he turned to teaching composition. Signed postcard, dated in Venice in 1924, size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Belgian composer (1903-1986), and organist. Typed letter in English signed by her as “Flor”, dated 1967, to Carla Hinrichsen: “...It was very nice of yours to send me a copy of the very interesting review by Basil Ramsey of Opus 100, written indeed in a very important magazine...”. Size is 5.8 x 9.27, 1 page, letterhead, in excellent condition.

Finnish composer (1893-1977), who was also a music critic, creator of chamber music, concerts, and orchestral works. Typed letter signed, written in German (sold untranslated), dated in 1951. One page with his own letterhead, sized 8.75 x 11.25 inches, some folds, storage holes, and minor cracks, otherwise in very good condition.

German composer (1869-1949), conductor, and polemicist, who was a self-described anti-modernist. Card signed by him with a pencil attached to a half-tone photograph (a clip from a magazine or program). Total size is 2.5 x 3.8 inches, in excellent condition.

British composer (1903-1999), and artist. Fine autograph note signed by him on a postcard, dated October 26, 1966, to Ms. Carla Hinrichsen to provide him copies of his “Harp Sonatina” for his concert on the 8th of December. Size is 5.4 x 3.4 inches, printed letterhead, in excellent condition.

French composer (1848-1903) of songs and operettas, some of them highly successful in his time.  Autograph letter written in French (sold untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, 1896.  Size is 4.75 x 6.5 inches, 1 page, small crack over the left border, central fold, otherwise in very good condition.

French pianist (1839-1934) famed as one of the first-ever recording artists. Set of two autograph letters on cards signed by him dated in 1885 and 1928; the first about the birth of his son Georges and the composition of a quintet on the ocassion; and the second, addressed to the writer Irving Schwerke about an appointment. Sizes are 5.1 x 4 inches and 5.8 x 4 inches respectively, sold untranslated, in very good condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

German composer and conductor (1846-1913).  Autograph letter signed by him, written in German (sold untranslated), dated in Munich, 1911.  Size is 5.6 x 8.8 inches, 1 folio (1 written page), in very good condition.

French composer (1782-1843), who was also a pianist and teacher. Autograph letter signed, dated in Rouen in 1824, two pages in French (sold untranslated). Each page is 7.5 x 9.6 inches, folds, and damage/loss of paper in the center-right border, otherwise in good condition. The third page is written by another hand.

French composer (1852-1914), teacher, organist, and pianist known for his playing of Mozart's work. His business card with a short text in French written by him over the top. Size is 3.75 x 2.1 inches, overall soft age-toning, otherwise in excellent condition.

Belgian composer (1835-1911) and basoonist. Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated in Liege, December 13, 1875, forwarding to a gentleman a second volume of his works for piano and voice. Size is 5.2 x 8.2 inches, 1 page, translation not included, central fold, printed letterhead over the top-left, in overall very good condition.

Autograph letter in French signed by the composer, dated in Liege, October 7, 1892, to a colleague and friend about the final destination of some figurines and miniatures. French virtuoso pianist (1818-1862), composer, and teacher. Autograph letter in French signed by him, no year mentioned, addressing a gentleman about selling his royalties and property rights of some of his works in Italy for an amount of money.  Size is 5.2 x 8 inches, two written pages in one sheet (front and back), translation not included, some rust stains, in very good condition.
