French operetta soprano (1854-1922), appeared in the world premieres of several Offenbach operas (her real name was Cécile Piccolo). 2 autograph letters signed, one contains three pages of text, 5.5 x 5.5 inches, the other has 4 pages of text at 5 x 8 inches. Both written in French, sold untranslated. Both in excellent condition, not sold separately. 

Full color program for the musical "Starlight" (1984), signed by the British composer and the British Theater Director on the front cover.  Size is 8.75 x 11.8 inches, full program with all pages and covers, minor creases, in excellent condition.

Original handwritten contract written in French, signed by 13 singers including Huet, Darancourt, Vizentini, Ferréol, Lemonnier, Darboville, Desbroses, Belmont, Boulanger, Rigaut, Pradher, Leclerc.  Size is 8.25 x 13.1 inches, 1 sheet (2 pages), minor rust stains, in very good condition. Set of 2 unsigned programs from Teatro del Liceo, Barcelona, Spain, featuring soprano Maria Barrientos: 1) a program for a farewell performance by Barrientos, April 1st, 1913, Act I from Traviata and Act III from Barbiere, Haendel variations in Catalan language and first part of Act IV from Lucia di Lammermoor. Full program with all 16 pages plus covers, 6.75 x 4.5 inches, in very good condition. 2) a season program, 1915, featuring all the operas and singers at Teatro del Liceo, with her name on the front cover and on page 2. Full program with all pages and covers, 4.9 x 7.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1875-1952), well-known for his opera L'Amore dei Tre Re (The Love of the Three Kings), which is  part of the standard repertoire.  Large unsigned photo, size is 10.8 x 13.5 inches, some creases over borders, dust spots, in very good condition.

Russian dancer (b.1968), German ballerina (b.1965) and Romanian dancer (b.1968).  Triple signed photo shown in "Die Bajadere" at the Vienna Staatsoper in 1999.  Size is 8.2 x 11.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Original playbill announcement for a performance of the famous Tchaikovsky's ballet at Teatro La Scala on March 28th, 1976, with mostly an Italian cast of dancers.  Size is 11 x 14.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Four-page program for a recital by the New Zealand-born lyric soprano and bass, who toured together extensively in their country during the 1930s and early 1940s. Program has Yvonne´s signature on page 1, over her photograph, and Nino´s signature on top of his photograph, on page 3. No date mentioned. Size is 8.5 x 11 inches, central fold and minor stains, in very good condition.

Program signed on the first page, under a color illustration, by the French opera and operetta soprano (1906-1999). Especial brochure published in 1944, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Chabrier´s death, about L´Etoile (opera by Emmanuel Chabrier, premiered in 1877), performed at Opera Comique, Paris, in 1941, and recorded on disc by Pathé.  Colorful, luxurious booklet with many illustrations, limited edition of 500 copies, this is Nr. 192, original wrappers with titles, rust stains in some pages, 9.5 x 12.25 inches, in very good condition.

French baritone (1843-1925), appeared in the world premiere of several operas including Berlioz's Damnation de Faust, Victor Masse's Paul et Virginie, and Saint-Saen's Le Timbre d' argent and made several recordings. Autograph letter signed, dated in 1880, written in French, sold untranslated. 4 folded pages of text, each is 4 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

French soprano (1857-1930). Autograph note signed on 2 sides of a card, dated in 1894. Written in French, sold untranslated. Very clear handwriting and signature. Size is 3.5 x 4.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

Full program with all pages and covers for a concert at Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, Argentina, August 3rd, 1957, with the orchestra conducted by famous Russian composer Aram Katchaturian. Concert was entirely dedicated to his music, size is 6.25 x 9 inches, in excellent condition.

Full program for a performance of this opera by Hildebrando Pizzetti, at Teatro Comunale di Bologna, 1953. Signed by the composer on the back of the front cover, in blue ink, just below facsimiles (printed) of signatures by the singers in this performance. Full program with all pages and covers, size is 5.6 x 9.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Rare playbill issued in 1826 by the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara, announcing a program change (the opera La Sposa Fedele, which will run instead of the "L´Ingano Felice" (Rossini), which had "little success, in part due to the illness of the first tenor"). One page, 10.75 x 15.25 inches, central fold, in excellent condition. A rare document. Also included is a one page printed contract form, unused, from the same theater, 7.9 x 9.9 inches, central fold, in excellent condition.

French tenor (1834-1912), who starred in both opera and operetta, including the world premiere productions of Massenet's Manon and Offenbach's Les Contes D'Hoffmann. Autograph letter signed, 1 page, written in French in 1889, sold untranslated. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Scottish soprano (1874-1967), very famous in France and in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century.   Original signed manuscripts of the artist in different sizes and conditions (for more details please check individual descriptions). German bass (1815-1889) who had a long international career especially in Germany, London and New York, sang in the world premiere of several operas, notably Flotow's Martha. Autograph note signed, dated in 1858. 1 page written in German (sold untranslated). Size is 5 x 8 inches, small tear at bottom of the page, not affecting any of the writing or signature. Otherwise in excellent condition. 

French baritone (1851-1920), younger brother of French baritone Lucien Fugere. Set of 2 autograph notes signed, each 1 page, written in French and sold untranslated. 1 note is on telegram paper of 4.5 x 5 inches, the other is on standard paper, 4.5 x 6 inches. Both in excellent condition, not sold separately. 

French baritone (1848-1935), sang at Covent Garden and many other famous opera houses and left recordings.  One autograph note signed, one page, dated in 1902, size is 4.5 x 7 inches, written in French and sold untranslated, in excellent condition. 

French soprano (1781-1850), created roles in the world premiere productions of operas by Boieldieu, Mehul, and Spontini. Was known throughout her career as "Madame Gavaudan", reflecting her marriage to a leading tenor of the Opéra-Comique, Jean-Baptiste-Sauveur Gavaudan. Autograph Letter Signed, 2 pages, size is 5.25 x 8 inches, signed as "M. Gavaudan", written in French, sold untranslated. Vintage and rare historic item in excellent condition!

Belgian soprano (1888-1973), one of France's most celebrated opera singers during the 1910's to the 1930's. Autograph Note Signed, written on two sides of a folio, in French, sold untranslated. Each side is 6.25 x 8 inches, in excellent condition. 

French Bass-baritone and voice teacher (1860-1930), signed photo postcard, shown as himself, sitting outside in a country field, surrounded by an unidentified female and goat. Signed (as "J. Isnardon") and inscribed on verso. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. 

French actress and director of the annual events at the Theatre Antique, Orange (1865-1934). Lot of 1 Autograph Letter Signed, 2 pages, size is 4.5 x 7 inches, 1 Autograph Note Signed, 3.5 x 4.5 inches (a dinner invitation) and 1 business card, 2 x 3.5 inches, inscribed but with no signature. All written in French, sold untranslated. In excellent condition, items not sold separately. 

French opera manager (1852-1938), head of the Paris Opera Comique from 1898 -1913, as well as a comedian, playwright and librettist. A lot of Three Autograph letters signed each with the letterhead of the Opera Comique, Paris.  One 1 page letter dated in 1898, another a 2 page letter, also dated in 1898, both 5 x 8 inches. The third letter dated in 1909,  is 5.25 x 8.25 inches. All written in french, sold untranslated, and in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

Italian composer and conductor (1885-1951), creator of numerous symphonic works, 7 operas, film scores, and an oratorio.  Larger size photograph signed and inscribed by him, dated in 1942. Size is 8.8 x 11.5 inches, smudge on ink at the top, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.

Rare first edition of this famous ballet book, and one of the most fundamental ballet publications in the beginning of the 20th Century. 133 numbered pages plus extras, many illustrations including some in color, photographs. Many of the illustrations are by Bakst. Original covers in light green cloth, professionally repaired, faded colors, but in good condition. First edition, published by R. Golike & A. Vilborg, St. Petersburg, Russia, 1911, with Bakst illustration. Handwritten in ink on the back of front page, signed and dated in 1944 by another hand. In overall very good condition.

French comedian, theater manager and opera house director (1834-1899). 2 autograph letters signed, both on the official letterhead of the Theatre National De L'Opera, Paris. Each are 2 folded pages, written in French and sold untranslated, larger letter is 5.5 x 8.25 inches with small crease on bottom right, smaller letter is 4.25 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition. Not sold separately.

French theater and opera manager (1858-1959), autograph letter signed, 2 folded pages on official stationary with the letterhead of the Theatre Municipal, dated in 1900. 2 folded pages, written in French, sold untranslated. American actress and decorator (1859-1950), also known as Elsie de Wolfe.  Large color engraving, inscribed and dated by her in Beverly Hills, 1941; mounted on a mat.  Engraving is 9.25 x 12.8 inches, mat size is 11.75 x 15.1 inches, some damage and dust over the mat, print is in excellent condition.

Playbill announcement for a concert of Beethoven's 7th Symphony at Teatro La Scala on April 25, 1992, performed by La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of the Italian conductor, signed by him.  Size is 11 x 15 inches, in excellent condition.

French American conductor (1893-1972), former music director of the San Louis Symphony Orchestra during 27 years.  Signed photo, inscribed and dated in San Louis, 1939; mounted on a mat.  Photo is also signed in white ink by photographer Herbert Mitchell over lower right corner.  Total mat size is 11.4 x 13.75 inches, photo is 7.25 x 9.25 inches (visible window size), mat has some cracks, photo is in excellent condition.
