Austrian soprano and mezzo-soprano (b.1939) whose voice had great richness and power, and her strikingly handsome stage appearance and intense acting made her a compelling performer. Autograph photo lot including some of her most famous roles (operas include Elektra, Salome, Katya Kabanova, Hans Heiling, Rusalka, etc), photos taken in San Francisco, Met Opera (New York), Cologne, Zurich, Munich, Hamburg. Lot of 18 informal signed photos of singers from the Hungarian State Opera, shown in role, taken 1988-1990. Sizes are 3.5 x 5 inches, all in excellent condition. The artists that appear are: baritone Janos Martin, mezzo-soprano Jolan Santa, soprano Eszter Somogyi, soprano Ybolya Verebics, mezzo-soprano Klari Jasz, soprano Ingrid Kertesi.

Great collection of 37 small photos and photo postcards, all signed, in different roles. Italian baritone (1902-1990), famous for singing as a soloist with the choir of Teatro La Scala and for partnering with Toti dal Monte and Beniamino Gigli in several operas. Beautiful photo postcard, shown as De Guiche in Cyrano de Bergerac from the world premiere production at the Teatro Reale, Rome in 1936. Photo is signed by the baritone with a long inscription on verso, dated 1936. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, a very slight crease above the photo, otherwise in excellent condition.

American baritone and actor (1903-1998), a very successful career as a concert singer with over 2,000 performances in 56 countries. Signed photograph shown as Porgy in George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, a role he created in 1935, for a Broadway production. Duncan was Gershwin's personal choice for this role and ended up performing it over 1800 times. Size is 7 x 9 inches, with some slight stains at edges, otherwise excellent condition. American mezzo-soprano (b.1934), very talented, who has won the National Medal of Arts (1992), the Kennedy Center Honors (1995) and four Grammy Awards.
